A very comfortable old hotel close to the main Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. At check in you had to leave a 2000 baht deposit.

Tip- make sure you take care of the receipt as you will need it on leaving.

The room was spacious and very quiet. Great blackout curtains too meant a really good night's sleep for me.

Housekeeping was efficient and very friendly, and the room was always cleaned even if I returned mid afternoon.

Paid 1750 baht a night over the penultimate weekend before Christmas. An excellent price for the room size and comfort right in high season .

The bathroom was a decent, powerful shower, hot water to shave and a safe too!!

Would definitely stay again.

It's former glory days are gone. It was once a very nice place. Now, it's an inexpensive hotel and you get your money's worth. I stayed for 6 nights in Dec 2025. I paid about $40 USD per night.

The maintenance is shoty but everything works. The room was clean but the carpets on the 12th floor needs replacement or at least a deep cleaning.

The location is great. It is walking distance to the old town. It is right beside the Night Bazzar. There are lots of massage places and bars on the street. However, it is not loud or slizzy.

I had to ask twice to get the batteries replaced in the safe, but the second time they did it right away.

With some bookings you get a free breakfast. It works out to 300 Bhat. It is buffet style and a lot of selection. However, a lot of the hot dishes were cold. They food quality was not good. My wife thought it was alright, I thought it was sub par. Plus for 300 Bhat you can get much better food from the many places down the street.

If you are thinking about staying, realize that it is clean but a bit run down. It is good value for the money and the location is great. The pics I saw online make it look classier than it really is.

I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing location so close to walk to the Night bazaar and many restaurants. The cleaner looked so busy with so many rooms not sure if they were short staffed. Great view and swimming pool. Variety for breakfast was amazing.

I have no idea how this hotel can get away with claiming 4 stars. It is, at best 2 stars. Everything, and I mean everything is dated by about 30 years or more. The beds are hard as rocks (they did accommodate with a mattress topper, but it didn’t do much to help). Big room, and clean enough, but this hotel has seen its better days and those days are long gone.
I should add, the price reflected exactly what you were getting compared to the MUCH nicer Marriott just across the street at 3x the price. If we had known that it was a two star hotel, we would have happily paid for the Marriott.

If you are looking for budget accommodations for a conference with lots of people, sure, otherwise, pay the extra or find a much nicer boutique hotel for the same.

First let me say the location is unbeatable. I was pleasantly surprised to receive good service. My friend booked a room for me (under his name) but sent an email informing them I would be the person to check-in. Reception accepted it and even upgraded me to a better room on the 22nd Floor. The room was clean, very comfortable and spacious. And what a view. The pool was great and so was the sauna. The hotel has definitely seen better days but it is still a good hotel. I love their wooden panels and carvings which give a warm welcoming feel. I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay at the DTW.

This hotel has activities every morning at 9 a.m. and 6 a.m. They offer sessions like yoga, Zumba, or aerobic dance, and you can join anytime. They have very good instructors who will guide you through the classes.

Another good thing is the hotel’s location — it’s excellent. The price is also much cheaper compared to 5-star hotels like Marriott, Shangri-La, or Intercontinental. The food here is delicious, especially the breakfast, which has many varieties. They also have a restaurant that serves Korean food(buffet )

When you check in, they provide breakfast for the next morning and a welcome drink. They also offer a 30% discount for massage services, so you should definitely take advantage of it.

The only downside is that they don’t provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, so you need to bring your own.
The hotel is a bit old especially the furnitures.

We stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience
The location is absolutely excellent, with easy access to restaurants, night market and convenient shops.
The rooms and common areas were well maintained and clean. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive throughout our stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Check in and check out were smooth and efficient.
The facilities were okay. While the basics like air conditioning worked well, WIFI connection speed was slow and some amenities felt a bit dated or limited compared to other hotels in the same price range. A few upgraded could really enhance the overall experience.

Service was not great coming from the land of smiles.
I had informed reservations prior that it was our anniversary but not even a warm welcome or wishes.
Its an old huge hotel but it is not an excuse for poor maintenance and housekeeping.
The cushions had disgusting stains and towels too.
Stayed at superior room and later changed to suite.
The suite booking was for a mountain view which we did not get even after informing front desk...they just disregard. Suite was a little better but the lamp holder was loose and inop. Informed hk but never got repaired.
Breakfast was same everyday, not much changes especially the local dishes.
Some perks were given for staying at suite but subject to timings which we missed and there was no flexibility.
Understand that this hotel is always full and the only reason is because of its location which is convenient for the night bazaars.
Will we stay there again? Probably not as bottomline, it was not welcoming and appreciated...
