Overall, the hotel is pretty good. The pool is huge, but sometimes non-guests, particularly foreigners, use it. In the room, there was a crack and a dent in the floor, which was quite uncomfortable. The most uncomfortable thing was that there was only one pair of very heavy flip-flops provided, which were really unpleasant to wear. Perhaps these are custom-made for foreign guests. The breakfast was almost entirely Western-style. I'd recommend booking without breakfast and eating out instead; it'll be more enjoyable.

Very beautiful and spacious hotel we really love the presidential suite for our family of 4.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. We also love the pool which is beautiful.
Breakfast is really nice with lots of selection.
Many great restaurants and massage place within short walk of hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is lovely with its polished teak wood interior and traditional carvings. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was sumptuous, with a variety of local dishes and western choices. A tuk-tuk ride will usually cost about 100 Baht or less. Surprisingly, Grab rides are even less expensive. But the best way to experience Chiang Mai is to walk. Temples galore. We thought the Saturday night Walking Street market was the best with unique craftspeople selling their creations. Combine it with a visit to the Silver Temple. We also used the hotel’s travel concierge to arrange several half day trips out of the city which were very good.

Great hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai. Easy walk to multiple temples, restaurants, and convenience stores. Rooms were of great quality, very clean and maintained by staff daily if desired. Pool was also very clean and a great place to cool off from the Thai heat. Staff was friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was top notch.

We stayed at Pingviman Hotel for a week and really enjoyed our time. The rooms are huge and spacious, with coffee, water, a tea kettle, and a fridge. The showers and tubs were oversized, which made it a comfortable home base during our travels. The pool was lovely and always the perfect temperature — being able to order poolside drinks and relax between activities was such a bonus. The location is excellent: close to the airport and right in the Old City. I walked to the nearby 7/11 whenever I needed something and always felt very safe.

The included breakfast buffet was plentiful, with hot and cold food, fruit, an omelet station, espresso machines, and plenty of cakes for those with a sweet tooth.

A few areas could be improved: the water in my shower never got truly hot, so filling the tub for a bath wasn’t possible. The breakfast buffet (like much of Chiang Mai) leaned heavily toward meat dishes, but there were always eggs available. My first-floor poolside room had a heavy padlock instead of a modern keycard system, which wasn’t as convenient to use. Lastly, there’s no hotel transport, but Grab rides to and from the airport were under $3.

Overall, it’s a beautiful property with spacious rooms, a fantastic pool, and a great location — I’d definitely stay again!

Great location, quiet and spacious rooms! Good AC, views and amenities. The free breakfast buffet was solid for fueling the days adventures.Great location and great staff! Perfect place to walk to many of the towns attraction and night markets. Lovely place!

Really lovely hotel to be based in for a trip to Chiang Mai.
Close to the airport, though you can’t hear the planes. Inside the old town, so you can walk or Grab to lots of the temples and main areas and markets.
The hotel was clean and had good AC, and was really nicely designed in a traditional style.
The bed was huge and very comfortable, the room was very spacious and nice. The bathroom was massive with a good bath and a walk in shower.
The pool was lovely and refreshing on a hot day, and big enough to do laps in. It had lots of loungers, and steps you can sit on in the pool at each end. There was a nice looking gym.
The woman at the tour desk was very helpful booking things for me. All the staff were lovely and helpful.
Laundry service was great although quite expensive.
Breakfast was fine though a bit limited if you’re there for a few days, though they made some nice eggs and I really liked the coffee.
Hotel is very near good restaurants, coffee places and a 7 Eleven. The blooming moon hostel next door was good for a lovely coffee or tea and waffles.

You can hear other people through the walls sometimes so if you’re a light sleeper you might want ear buds.
I had a very good stay here overall, it was very homely and comfortable, really relaxing, and felt totally safe and looked after travelling by myself.

Overall a pretty good experience at this hotel. We had an issue with our air conditioning on the first night which they tried to fix a few times before moving us to another room. The new room was very spacious and close to the pool.
Service was lacking a little compared to other places we had stayed in Thailand.
The included breakfast was just okay and nothing spectacular.
