Outrigger Khao Lak Beach Resort in Khao Lak

It was a lovely experience. The villa accomodation was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the restaurant service and the massages. The staff were so friendly.

Super nice hotel with a great location in Khao Lak. The hotel restaurant is overpriced. A scoop of industrial ice cream costs more than artisanal Italian ice cream in an ice cream parlor in Germany.

Not sure how hotels get their rating but I would say Outrigger is more 4 star than 5. The bathroom really lets the room down with the blind required on the shower, the positioning of the toilet and the quality of the actual shower. This hotel is mainly families so just be aware if you are not particularly wanting to be surrounded by children and there are a few running round at 3am in their rooms (which if you are below them may wake you up.) A very nice hotel but not a lot of facilities or choice, nowhere to really walk to and cabs needed to Khao Lak and Bang Niam….

Perfect location next to a beautiful beach. Not very crowded and loads of spaces to lie out in deck chairs or on the sand. Hotel staff are excellent, super helpful and kind. Outrigger has its own app which made ordering additional toiletries for our room simple. Only tricky part is getting to/from the hotel ad it is a 10min drive from Khao Lak town but the hotel can help you to order a taxi.

We had a wonderful stay at Outrigger Khao Lak this week, perfectly situated on the beautiful Bang Sak Beach. The resort layout is excellent, spacious, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, with direct beachfront access that truly showcases Khao Lak’s charm.

Our room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and extremely comfortable, with great attention to detail from housekeeping. We had a family adjoining room which was superb for the kids. There are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby (having said that we did have a car), though the hotel’s own breakfast deserves a special mention — a broad and high-quality selection with new daily varieties alongside the staples, all delivered with warm Thai hospitality.

What really sets this property apart, however, is the staff. From check-in to checkout, every team member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. A special thank you to Bom at reception for his professionalism, diligence, and consistently warm welcome and farewell — he even remembered our names throughout our stay!

We also want to recognise K. Na, our room maid, whose thoroughness and attention to detail often go unnoticed but made a real difference to our experience.

All in all, this is a fantastic beachfront resort with exceptional staff, good price point, great facilities, and the true spirit of Thai hospitality. Highly recommended.

The hotel is fantastic. Great location only 10 mins taxi drive to Khao Lak town centre.
The service is great, friendly staff and always willing to help. Lyn was always greeting everyone and making sure everyone was happy. The reception staff are lovely and the cleaning staff did an amazing job.
My only real issue was the smell in the room. 108 was a great room with bunk beds for two kids but the room smelt a little of damp or unclean air conditioning filter.
The pool and beach are great and the kids spent a lot of time splashing about. They also loved the kids club.
