Hotel Recenta Phuket Suanluang in Phuket Town

The hotel's furnishings and amenities were a bit below basic. In the room, there was no place to put a suitcase. One could go on the table/dresser, and the others had to stay on the floor. The wardrobe was open-concept. In the bathroom, hot water was only available in the shower; the sink only had cold water. Breakfast was meager, with no pastries, cakes, or croissants, only toast and loose jam. The hot food section was slightly better with fried eggs and sausages, plus a few other unmemorable items. I complained to the manager on duty on the first day, but nothing changed. The staff were kind and helpful.

This is a pleasant and charming hotel where we stayed for 16 nights. Breakfast was included, but after 16 days, the lack of variety became tiresome. There's a beautiful green area in front of the hotel, but the playground shown in photos isn't actually there. The hotel is located in a quiet, remote area, which suited us fine as we used a scooter to get around everywhere. If you plan to travel on foot, this hotel won't be suitable for you. There's no beach or picturesque spots for walking nearby. However, there are two great cafes, a massage parlor, and scooter rentals conveniently close by.

The room was cleaned daily, but it was more of a quick wipe-down. A thorough cleaning only happened on the 10th day of our stay, by which point the shower was full of hair. The drain was always clogged, even upon check-in, and there was often a smell of sewage. Every day, we were provided with two bottles of clean water and a roll of toilet paper.

The bed linens had holes, and the towels were worn out. When we first arrived, we had to specifically ask for clothes hangers.

The swimming pool is quite old and has chipped tiles.

Overall, the staff was polite and courteous, and the hotel didn't cause any negative feelings. It offered good value for money.

“Okay if you just want to sleep”
It wasn’t very well cleaned. Some mold here and there probably because our room had zero ventilation. Outside of the rooms the corridor have probably never been cleaned. We tried to book an extra night due to changed flight times. First they were fully booked then they wanted to offer us a discount on a room. We found the same room online for half the price. Breakfast is okay, especially because it’s included. If you’re gluten be prepared to eat fruit and rice. Also ”kingsize bed” here means 2 twin beds pushed together. There were wheels on both beds so they kept sliding apart.
