The staff were friendly, there was an elevator, it was clean, and the breakfast area had a great view. I was worried because the shower filters in older hotels were often black, but they weren't as dirty as I'd feared! (After two days, they were a bit yellowish.) The hotel is in the proximity of many tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping centers. But what impressed me the most was the way the hotel personnel treated me. One receptionist has even given me Istanbul Card for free for me to be able to roam around the city ❤️.

The hotel is okay but the door to the bathroom couldn’t be locked or closed - it’s like a shower door. The sink was next to the door to the corridor, which was very inconvenient. We also asked for a room with a view and got a view of… a wall. Breakfast was average, it was mostly some vegetables. The only good thing about the hotel was its location and sauna.

The only outdoor area for sitting and drinking, as far as I could see (i was more interested in seeing the sights) was on the roof....not a place to be on an April evening in Istanbul.
