That said, the area felt very safe we walked out at 10pm as two women and felt completely comfortable. There’s even a police station right opposite the hotel! Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely recommend it

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room great with amazing view. The bed mattress was the best. We used also the spa and it was refreshing. We had lunch once, which was average

Great location and easy to get around by tram (T1). Nearby hotel, you can walk to several well known sites. Great breakfast selections and care for special dietary guests

As I am travelling in the summer, I was looking for good air conditioning and quiet rooms in Istanbul as I had seen some bad reviews with other hotels

Don’t buy the travelcard at the hotel (followed another traveller’s advice); you can just tap in using a credit card at most pub transport stations

Stayed for 2 nights, it's very close to Terminal 1. The room was clean, and having an elevator made going up and down very convenient.

I acknowledge that it's the best luxury hotel in Istanbul. There was a minor service issue, but it was resolved very well, which is understandable given that they are a luxury hotel aiming to excel. Recommended.

The location is excellent, the scenery is beautiful, and the services offered by Mandarin Oriental are impeccable and of top quality.

The breakfast buffet was a particular standout, with an extensive selection. The spa and gym facilities surpassed my expectations, contributing significantly to the overall excellence of my stay

As soon as I entered the room, I was shocked by the beautiful sunrise over the Strait! The room is spacious and luxurious, and you can see the beautiful scenery of the Strait in both the living room and the bedroom

Bathrooms are well equipped, but have a wall mounted showerhead over the bath. Location is convenient for the naval warfare museum at south-end of the sea front

Which kinda sums up the experience! There was at least one tour-group staying during my visit.  Tourists visiting Troy and the Gallipoli Peninsula will find It’s a comfortable place to stay for one night

Buffet breakfast is also adequate, but obviously done to a budget. The coffee was (unusually for Turkey) awful and when I asked if I could have a cappuccino, the answer was ‘Extra, extra - not free’

Murat and boran where is extremely helpful at the auto Perla Hotel they are excellent in English language and they help with me with beauty center services and even service services outside the hotel

Stayed for a week, view was decent, room was kept clean, exceptional housekeeping service, food was decent and the food presentation was beautiful (please take the white colored soup off the menu), and all of the incredibly handsome gentlemen were very helpful with luggage and necessities

Ottoperla Hotel was absolutely amazing! The rooms were clean and elegant, and the service was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and comfortable

They let me know that there is a free face massage and the face care session for woman, and they were always available at the front desk with a bright smile thank you for making my stay super nice!

A supermarket is conveniently located directly across the street for stocking up on essentials. Complimentary instant coffee and black tea are provided daily in the room

The room was clean and well-appointed. The staff were exceptionally courteous and proactively offered to help with our luggage

The hotel abutting the seaside closest to adjacent restaurants, pier and a bridge where you can walk across the harbour. The hotel rooms and public areas were newly decorated to a luxurious standard

The hotel's overall facilities are great, and the air conditioning in the rooms works perfectly for both heating and cooling. During check-out, we met Manager Darhan, who provided professional and enthusiastic service

The hotel spa experience wasn't as amazing as I had imagined; it was quite average. Perhaps my expectations were too high. The breakfast, however, was plentiful with many choices, and the location was very convenient

The waitress serving our table seemed unwilling to acknowledge this. Aside from this and the slight inconvenience of getting a taxi right outside the hotel, everything else was excellent

The hotel is truly lucky to have him and his team. A manager from the housekeeping department, who appeared to be of Indian/Pakistani descent, also provided excellent service

However, we did encounter some issues at breakfast. The menu advertised freshly squeezed juices (pomegranate and orange), but they clearly weren't fresh

However, there were several drawbacks: The rooftop pool, which appears spacious in the hotel's wide-angle photos, is actually quite small and unsuitable for swimming

Here are the pros of the hotel: The location is superb, with all major attractions within walking distance. Additionally, tram, metro, train, and ferry stops are all conveniently located within a 5-minute walk

The lower ground floor (-1 level) housed a small gym, a hammam, and a compact swimming pool

For instance, the entrance hallway was uncomfortably narrow with the room door opening inwards, there was a column positioned awkwardly in the middle of the sleeping area, and the ceiling featured a polygonal, multi-level design

Furthermore, the tile grout lines on the walls and floor were noticeably misaligned by about a centimeter, which looked incredibly sloppy and felt like an oversight. The window offered an unattractive view of a car park

It felt more like a communal soaking tub where people simply sit in the water. I also found it uninviting due to its murky water, so I opted not to use it. The interior design was poorly executed

Rooms need to be updated but other than that our stay was very good spa and Turkish bath and indoor pool were very clean and comfortable…Housekeeping was ok but there was one lady who washed our balcony checked our needs was wonderful her name was Mahsume;she made our stay well worth thanks to her …🌹

The property is in a good location. It has all the amenities. The Turks are a very nice and good people. Short walk to beach and restaurants.

Lovely hamam, indoor and outdoor heated pools are all free so you don’t have to spend a lot once you’re there

Breakfast is good too although there could have been more hot varieties or a live cooking station. The seating outside the breakfast restaurant has a very beautiful scenery

The hotel is super clean and elegant. The rooms corridora and washrooms are spacious well lit, and well furnished. Unlike other hotels, each room has a queen bed and a single bed, so the beds are enough for three people

The pool is very clean too and well maintained. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone we met speaks English

Good value for money hotel. Service from front of house to restaurant / bar staff was great. Rooms are big with tea / coffee minibar etc. Beds comfy and decent pillows. Breakfast is comprehensive!

It is also 7 mins drive from Maltepe Mall. Swimming pool was alright and the hotel got a barber in the ground floor. We had a pleasant stay overall

Cons: The room is a bit cramped for three people; you can hear the neighbors and the street very well, not from the other side of the wall, but from the hallway. Breakfast isn't very varied, but it's tasty

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Askoc Hotel's spa in Turkey Istanbul, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences we've ever had

The hotel is close to Galataport, Karakoy markets and restaurants, and offers easy access to tourist areas (near the tram and Karakoy station).

It’s compact room. This was booked thru Turkish Airline Stopover. Great customer service. Helpful and Kind gentlemen’s. Close to all the hot spot and some are walking distance.Thank you for a great hospitality.

Very convenient for those taking cruiseship or disembarking from Istanbul

This hotel is situated on a very busy road across the road from the ferry terminal, so it is noisy if you are on that side, bonus of being on that side though is that you get a view if you are high enough up so ask for a high room

Then when I returned after my tour both my friend and I were put in totally different rooms which had no smell, were fresh and much bigger - friend even had a balcony with a view of the ferry terminal

My first 3 nights the rooms smelt with an old stale smell, like the carpets needed cleaning and the rooms were very small, not enough room to lay flat my hard shell suitcase on the floor

I saw the sunrise while adjusting to the time difference, and my friend and I just walked a few steps from the hotel to the beach to watch it – it was an unforgettable experience

The hotel has a very good location, just 15 mins with the tram to the grand bazar. If you get the deluxe room with front or sea view, it will meet your expectations. Reception staff is very polite and friendly

The rooms were spotless, the staff was highly trained, and the location was ideal. The breathtaking view of the Bosphorus from the rooftop bar, both during the day and at night, made the experience truly unforgettable

We stayed here abut 20 days in december - january 2023-2024. It's not delightful, but a decent, good hotel. There were no bugs in winter, there was only one day when we heard the noise from our neightbours

The room was renovated long time ago, but everything was clean, the mattress was new, soft and comfortable, the pillows were also good. There was cold outside during our stay, but the heating worked well

The staff were very nice guys and helpful. The only problem for me was the smell from the street, presumably because of the wood heating in many houses of the district

There was no cleaning everyday, but they gave paper and shampoo on request. The breakfast was ok, i usually eat a lot, i was full every day

We stayed for one night, had dinner at Toro Restaurant, and booked a 1-hour couple’s massage at the spa. Here’s my overall review: The spa is located on a hilltop and accessed by buggy, with a truly stunning view

There is a sauna and pool on the top of the hill. They take you there with a golf cart and you enjoy swimming with the beautiful Istanbul scenery. The check-in and checkout processes are very smooth and staff is friendly

We went up to the infinity pool afterwards — the view could’ve been amazing, but the glass was dirty/streaky, which ruined the effect. About Toro Restaurant: I’d say our dinner experience was so-so

The location is excellent for walking along the sea front, and the breakfast was quite nice, although we were disappointed there was no juice available

I can say the hotel is absolutely comfortable and dining hall is so clean hygenic. Waiter/waitress are so kind; Hotel also has the replica remnants decoration of the ancient city of Troy.

Unfortunately, the bathroom plumbing was inadequate to the task – the tap mixer constantly fell off, and the pull to change where the water comes out constantly defaulted to the bottom faucet rather than the handheld or overhead rainshower, making it very difficult to clean yourself

At some point during the night a very strong smell of cigarette smoke permeated the room – we’re not sure if someone was smoking outside our door in the hallway, or near wherever the air intake for the air-conditioner was

The air-conditioner struggled to keep the room cool, and the fact that the electricity turned off when you left the room meant the fridge didn’t work to keep anything cool at all

One of our rubbish bins was broken. The single sheet/blanket for each bed was quite scratchy
