Kecik Hotel in Istanbul

The staff was really rude and unhelpful. For the ugly rooms they have, they don’t even compensate with the amability. On our first night, my son who didn’t stay at the hotel helped me go up with the bags. We stayed for only 5 minutes in the room to leave the bags and they were called us to come to the reception because we have a person from outside. I found it really rude. And the second experience that left me really frustrated is about an item that we left at the reception and when we tried to take it back the next day they don’t have it anymore. They were again really rude, they didn’t even seem to try to help us.

The rooms are very small, extremly small without windows for fresh air. Only the ones for three are ok but not too very clean,

Disgusting that’s the only word for this place. When we first entered the hotel the room was fine and almost clean, but the bathroom was a pathetic excuse for a one. The toilet was broken and the shower wasn’t working for the most time. We were there for 3 nights. The 2nd day they came to clean nothing suspicious, they said nothing. The day we were leaving the personal said they won’t give our passports until we pay 10EURO for a towel that we didn’t even use seriously. There was dark blue hair dye on it. Me and my mother have blonde and dark brown hairs. That’s pathetic and really cheap. The food was okay but there were a few thing that were from the other morning and they had mold. The bread and the olives as well as the cheese.Please don’t visit if u don’t want to be robbed. 10 euro is nothing for me but still u can be in a situation u don’t have euro and they don’t accept lira and if they do they double it.

I stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the service. A very unfortunate incident happened where a poor man's belongings were stolen from his room. What was even more shocking was that the hotel staff showed no concern or support. There was no proper investigation, no apology, and no effort to help him. This lack of responsibility and compassion from the service team is unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values safety and respectful treatment.

On arrival the room was not even clean, old towels left, drawers were full with garbage. We had to wait for another hour to be cleaned. The breakfast was very basic, staff almost doesn't speak English. Shower stall is really really small. We could not open the window because of the smell coming from the kitchen directly in the room.

At the time of check in the staff were not welcoming and they left me to deal with my luggage alone until I demanded assistance. The guy who was supposed to assist started yelling claiming we got alot of baggage. After moving them in they left us without assistance to our room because they got a group of tourists as if we are not their guests. We were left standing at the lobby without any assistance waiting for them to finish checking in a whole group that arrived after us. This so unacceptable and inappropriate
