Description

Hotel Ottoman Luxury is a modest 3-star hotel built in 2014, located in Istanbul's historic Fatih district. The hotel occupies a 6-story building with only 12 rooms, offering a quiet, intimate setting. Guests can choose from standard single, double, triple rooms, and a family room. The hotel provides practical amenities like 24-hour reception, car hire, a restaurant, and a terrace. Rooms are soundproof and non-smoking, with heating and WiFi. Breakfast is served in-room or as a buffet from 8:00 to 10:30. The stay at sirkeci mansion hotel was excellent and I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to visit Istanbul. The tram station shows up pretty much right next to the hotel, and you are one stop away from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Topikapi Palace. We also went on the bosphorus cruise which was only two stops away. For the price, you absolutely cannot beat the value that staying at this hotel gives. The tram is very cheap, and being so close probably saved us hundreds in cabs which tend to be quite expensive in this area.

The morning breakfast buffet was excellent and we were provided incredible service. There are so many options and they always provide great service!

The hotel managers were also incredibly helpful. Whenever we had any questions, they would always guide us in the right direction for how to get to places, where to go to get the best out of our experience, and restaurant recommendations. They even go above and beyond to provide a pamphlet with all the tourist sites info you could ever want, and even make your reservations for you!

Last but not least, we were very grateful for the hotel providing a wheelchair for my mother. They did not ask us for any money for this, and we were incredibly grateful to have received this as it made the trip much easier for my mother who is unable to walk far distances.

Thank you and if we ever stop by Istanbul again, this is definitely the place we will stay at!

Good room service and very nice staff

My experience was mixed.

Pros: The hotel is well-managed, with comfortable rooms, excellent beds, and well-maintained fixtures. Its location is very convenient, close to the main sights, and the Turkish breakfast buffet was excellent. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: The rooms are not carpeted, so noise from guests above—like chairs being moved—can be noticeable. Adding felt pads to chair legs could help improve comfort for downstairs guests. My room faced the hotel’s ventilation system rather than a view. I also experienced a less-than-welcoming interaction with one breakfast staff member, who appeared rude toward Asian guests and had an attitude when I asked for coffee.

At this time, I would not recommend this hotel for East Asian or Southeast Asian guests.

This was our first stay at this hotel, and unfortunately, we won't be repeating the experience. The only positive I can think of is the excellent location—and that's about it.

Our initial acquaintance with the hotel began at 5:00 AM. We were realistic and knew it was too early to check in, but we were hoping to at least leave our bags and wait in the lobby. Imagine our surprise when there was no one at reception, and the waiting area itself was so small and uncomfortable that there was simply no room to sit. We had to wait outside until it opened.

We returned right in time for check-in, at 2:00 PM, looking forward to finally getting some rest. However, another "surprise" awaited us: there were no available rooms. As a solution, we were offered to check into another hotel. We accepted, as we had no choice.

Therefore, I can't rate the cleanliness of the room, the quality of the breakfast, or any of the other services advertised. Judging by the reception staff, I don't think we missed out on much. The word "Luxury" in the name is nothing more than a marketing ploy, not backed by any real service. Room prices are vastly inflated for this level of service, or rather, the complete lack thereof. Never again.

It was the perfect hotel for our 6 day break in Istanbul, it was spotless, great value for money, and the staff were wonderful, they went over and above to help with everything and anything. The location is perfect, on a busy street (but not noisy) and overlooking the gardens of Topkapi palace and within walking distance to the blue mosque and hagia sophia although we caught the tram to these (with 81 yo Mother) but tram system is fantastic, the tram stop is a 2 minute walk from hotel and trams every couple of minutes, it's a great way to travel around, it was all fantastic and we loved Istanbul (the free afternoon tea in the hotel was a lovely bonus). I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

This is a central location in the “Old Town”– close to all the must-see sights in the Sultanahmet. We booked a beautiful and spacious room with a balcony on the 4th floor overlooking the Gulhane Park. Upstairs rooftop Terrace accessible – Great views and quiet at night. The Sirkeci is a welcoming, elegant, comfortable and well-maintained (if not updated) hotel. Expect calls to prayer from the Mosques starting early (around 7am when we were there). The stay included great and copious breakfasts which were appealing to westerners with some Turkish dishes. The food selection changed daily. The coffee is ok but not strong and espressos/cappuccinos are not offered. The hotel concierge and staff were professional, friendly, and always helpful.

We took the “Taste of Life in the Golden Horn” walking tour led by hotel manager Mr. Alkan (a highlight of our 4-day stay) and highly recommend it. We thought it easily rivaled paid group tours in length and quality. Instead of visiting the major tourist sites, he takes you to less touristy locations (no crowds!), provides interesting historical facts, and explains the significance of places visited. He introduced us to local vendors (a Turkish
pretzel” bakery and ice cream shop) a spice market, an important mosque and took us through different neighborhoods to get a feel for authentic local life. It was a unique, personalized experience that was quite memorable.

We did not have time to take advantage of the pool, Turkish Bath or massage services offered on the basement floors. We did have tea and small sandwich snacks at 4 pm which gives you the opportunity to meet other guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Sirkeci Mansion Hotel.

Terrific smaller hotel in a perfect location with views of the palace gardens. The level of service and attention to detail was outstanding. The hotel itself was very comfortable and beautifully finished right down to the coffered ceilings. They provided unlimited, free, and very cold bottled water! Okay Alkan, the hotel manger, made our stay incredibly welcoming and was very informative about a city that he clearly loves. He even went to the pharmacy for us when we needed something. Breakfasts were very good with plenty of variety and a little different every day. I highly recommend getting a room with a balcony. It’s just the right size for two people and we started and finished every day there overlooking the palace gardens and the ever changing activity on the street below. Also, I highly recommend doing the food tour and the cultural tour with Okay. He will show you how to differentiate between the real restaurants and the tourist restaurants. When we were departing, the entire staff came out on the porch to see us off!

The most beautiful thing is the area.
Rooms are good for the price.
It is 3 stars hotel.
It has a small elevator.

The hotel has only one plus - excellent location and that's it. For this money in this location you can find a better hotel. The service leaves much to be desired. The switch at the entrance to the room does not work. The light only turns on from the switch next to the bed. I told the administrator, no one did anything. In the photo the room looks much nicer, the hotel seems new, in reality - everything is much simpler. There is no water in the room. Nonsense. All hotels in Istanbul have water. At the reception they said that the owner is saving. Water costs 40 rubles. Damn. Breakfast on the terrace. The terrace is small, there is not enough space for everyone. The view is terrible. If possible, choose another hotel.
