Minel Hotel in Istanbul

If your purpose is to find a place to sleep when the night falls after a long time of enjoying the city of Istanbul, this cozy hotel is a sweet place to stay. Rooms are clean and breakfast has a good variety with healthy choices. You may find the rooms a bit on the smaller side but when the purpose is just to find a place to sleep, they are quite enough. Moreover, it is close to many important historical places. Faruk Bey is very helpful with his down-to-earth and debonair attitude. We felt at home at this place. Highly recommended.

Situated right in the heart of Sultanahmet, this hotel was a really good find for us. Room size was a bit small but rooms were clean and cozy. The manager/owner guy, Faruk, is really a humble, accommodating and a helpful guy. There is a good variety of food items in breakfast as well. The hotel entrance lobby is very cute and decorated with glass and other sorts of art work.

Our toilet's flush wasn't working so our room was changed and we then had a bigger room. Another issue was that there was noise of tram coming into the main road-side rooms.

There are a lot of cute and picturesque streets, cafes and hotels nearby the hotel and various historic locations nearby to explore.

I'd definitely stay here again when I'll visit Istanbul and would highly recommend it to others as well.

The location is bang on near the aya sofia. the rooms are small but comfortable. the manager faruk is a nice helpful guy.

Friendly and the most welcoming host. Really relaxed atmosphere with little kittens.

The rooms are what you pay for. No lifts so be aware but housekeeping is good. Cheap and cheerful

Very nice and cozy hotel near the city center, located in a quiet, narrow street, with very nice atmosphere and a cute family of cats! 😊 Spent 2 nights here with my brother, our friend and her little girl. We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is delicious! The owner/manager is also very kind, friendly and helpful. We plan to visit Istanbul again and we may also come back to Minel Hotel because it was a very positive experience. 😊
