Good hotel!

The hotel has two main advantages: an ideal location, close to the metro and Taksim Square, and excellent, friendly staff who always try to help within their capabilities. The breakfast is generally good, basic, and okay for the price, but we mostly ate outside rather than in the hotel.
However, overall, I can't recommend this hotel as it has significant drawbacks:
1. The hotel's policy is not to provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, only liquid soap, shampoo, and low-quality shower gel.
2. The hotel has old air conditioners that are very noisy at night and interfere with sleep. Opening the windows is impossible, making it stuffy, and street noise and traffic can be heard.
3. The hotel is poorly maintained; there were numerous long black hairs on the towels and bathroom floor.
We didn't notice any other drawbacks; we definitely won't return to this hotel.

I booked this hotel for two nights because the location near Taksim Square is great and the price seemed fair. The place is not big (10 rooms total), and my room (#502) on the fifth floor was actually nice — even had a balcony. No view, but hey, I wasn’t expecting the Bosphorus. And then... the fun began.
The minibar (a.k.a. tiny fridge) was dead. Reported it to the receptionist, who confidently informed me that I probably forgot to plug it in. Cute theory, except the light inside worked perfectly. Instead of coming to the room and checking herself, she gave me an attitude like I was stupid.
The next morning, at 10 AM, there was an electrify outage — no power, no light, no Wi-Fi, no AC. Outside it was already 30°C in the morning. After 20 minutes of waiting, I went to reception. This time, a manager and another receptionist assured me that the entire neighborhood was out and power would return in two hours. Fair enough — I went out. But walking around, I noticed plenty of buildings nearby that were happily enjoying electricity. I returned two and a half hours later - still no power. This was the real showstopper ):
The staff was useless -the manager's response was a masterpiece: “Why stay in the room? You didn’t come here for this — just go explore the city.” Ah yes, thanks for the life advice! He called me problem maker! :) Zero empathy, no sympathy, zero solutions... So I did the only logical thing: checked out after one night and moved to a better hotel next door. Thank goodness for Trip.com, which saved me with a refund — because if I had booked direct, I’d probably still be arguing with Mr. “Go Explore.”
I totally get that power outages happen. Clear Force Majeure. What I don’t get is why the staff acted like they were doing me a favor by letting me pay for misery. Honestly, if they had shown a bit of care or tried to make me comfortable, I would have been flexible.. Great location, but Aston Hotel? NOT RECOMMNEDED!

My wife and I loved everything: it was clean, cleaned daily, the bed and linens were fantastic, and the breakfasts were simple but delicious. The location is excellent: a 5-minute walk to Istiklal, and it's very convenient to get to and from the airport via Havaist to Taksim Square, which is no more than a 10-minute walk from the square, and there are no slides. Special thanks to the hosts. They were very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Fantastic!

A small hotel in a fairly convenient location.
The breakfast is modest, but quite filling. The staff is friendly. There's a large terrace.
The shower stall is very narrow, especially for very small people. Even washing your feet requires either opening the door or squeezing into the corner.
The hairdryer is located very close to the sink faucet, making it difficult to turn on the water at full pressure.
The mattress is very soft, you literally sink into it.

Excellent hotel! The description matches the reality! The hosts are wonderful, always willing to help with anything.
The room is huge, even an ironing board and iron! A robe, slippers, shampoo, and soap were provided.
Taksim metro station is 10 minutes away, and buses are 7 minutes away.
Juice shop in the courtyard, Migaros is a 5-minute walk away, and Istyakal is a 7-10-minute walk away.
Breakfast is the same every day, but filling.
The room was cleaned daily, and towels weren't changed for three days. 1.5 liters of water was brought daily.
The windows overlooked the courtyard, where a disco party went on in the building across the street until late at night, but we were so tired that we passed out and didn't mind.
Excellent value for money!

It's about a five-minute walk from Taksim Square. Because the hotel alley is very narrow and the road surface is uneven, it's a bit difficult to walk. You can't call it a hotel, you can only call it a hotel. The check-in lobby is connected to the restaurant. It's small and pitiful. I haven't seen it or looked at the big lights for three days. It's all dark. The boss is not very friendly. I am the boss if you stay here. I don't recommend it. recommend.
