Description

Larissa Beach Club Hotel is an economy seaside hotel located in Side, Turkey, built in 1999 and renovated most recently in 2012. The hotel consists of fifteen 4-story buildings with a total of 320 rooms, including a range of room types from Economy to Deluxe, some with balconies. The property features a private sandy beach 150 meters long on the first coastline, where sun loungers, umbrellas, mattresses, and towels are provided free of charge. On-site facilities include several swimming pools—an 18+ outdoor pool without heating and a children’s pool with a slide. Guests can enjoy four tennis courts (two with hard surfaces free of charge and two clay courts for a fee), as well as a spa and wellness center available for an extra charge. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, a restaurant, bar, free parking, and 24-hour front desk service. It is accessible for guests with physical disabilities. Larissa Beach Club Hotel is recommended for families with children seeking an affordable beach holiday, although some reviews note cleanliness and room condition issues.

Location

Located in Selimiye Mahallesi at 650 Sokak in Side, the hotel sits just 50 meters from its private beach on the Mediterranean coast. It is approximately 4 kilometers from the town center of Side and 3 kilometers from the nearby village of Kumkoy. Antalya Airport (AYT) is 53 kilometers away, making transfers manageable though not immediate. Nearby dining options include Steakhouse Restaurant at 102 meters, Lime Beach Restaurant & Bar at 161 meters, and the Konyalı Şakir Usta Etli Ekmek Kebap restaurant 186 meters from the hotel, all positively rated around 8/10. The hotel’s location on the shoreline offers direct beach access and sea views from some rooms, though guests are advised to request a sea-facing or upper-floor room to maximize this benefit.

Tips

  • Request a sea-view or upper-floor room for better views and improved Wi-Fi reception.
  • For families, the children’s pool and slide are highlights, but consider bringing some personal toiletries as bathroom conditions vary.
  • Arrive early for buffet meals to avoid shortages of popular dishes like grilled meat and baklava.

Yes, I would say it's a good location because it's right on the beach... And that's about as good as it gets... I don't know how people give this four stars🤷‍♂️. If you look at the poor reviews, they're right!!! Not only are the bathrooms small but my toilet was dirty. As I walked in I couldn't lock the door... As someone else said, don't let the pictures fool you on this page... The rooms are garbage... The staff is not helpful... And I think it was way overpriced for what it is.... I don't know.... If all you care about is the beach and party Then it won't matter.... But if you care about having a decent room, stay away.... Even the sheets, I felt like they're old and worn out... I'm sleeping with my clothes on. Don't want my skin to touch it.... It is so sad that there are no standards. 🫣 Of course, if you pay more they'll put you in a better room.. I don't know if it looks like What you see on Google maps, But it will be facing the ocean... Don't you just wish countries would just incorporate certain standards? Instead they just try to eat money. That's all they care about

Breakfast every morning was something to look forward to. Fresh fruit, pastries, and a variety of hot dishes. The coffee could’ve been stronger, but everything else was top-notch.

Our room overlooked the pool and had a small balcony—perfect for morning coffee. It was cleaned daily, and fresh towels were always provided.

The pool area was a highlight. Clean, plenty of loungers, and a bar serving cold drinks all day. We especially enjoyed the Turkish bath in the wellness center—it was so relaxing after a long day out.

The buffet had a great variety each night. We particularly enjoyed the themed dinners—Greek night was our favorite. Staff in the dining area were always attentive and cheerful.

I chose a hotel that was after renovation. Now it is called Sunrise Beach Cide 4*. But it looks like they have just started renovation. We arrived at the hotel after 10 pm. Tired. They checked us in quickly. Family room on the third (second) floor. Everything immediately seemed terrible to me. I was on edge and could hardly sleep that night. I read recent reviews. I got even more scared, but at the same time I realized that they didn’t give us the worst room. The room had two small rooms without furniture (we were prepared for this). The plumbing hadn’t been changed for a long time. The taps and faucets were changed hastily: they are crooked. The joints are covered with yellowing sealant. The entrance door has a gap of about two centimeters at the bottom. There is no promised safe. There is a broken nightstand and a rod with three half-broken hangers (we were prepared for this). The Wi-Fi in the room was very bad, it was better on the balcony. (We bought a local card with Internet). There are no safes in the hotel. (We used a suitcase with a combination lock). In the morning we tried to change the room. We looked at others and stayed in our first room. Almost the same everywhere. There were no ants or unpleasant smell in our room. Attempts to clean were made every other day, but they were only able to clean twice, because we were in the room after 12 noon. Bed linen was not changed. Towels were lying by the stairs. When needed, I came and changed them myself. I also took toilet paper there myself. There were no issues with food for the first 4 days. Then, for some reason, there were no more pies and achma in the mornings. They began to make scrambled eggs and pancakes with a long break. There are always queues for grilled meat for lunch and dinner. For flatbreads too. Baklava for dinner was taken apart in 2 minutes. They did not put out more. In general, they were in no hurry to put out the food that was taken apart (even an elementary salad of tomatoes and cucumbers). Fruit was also quickly taken apart. There are dietary dishes (stewed, boiled). The whole territory (if you drink alcohol) is quite normal. But it really needs repair and maintenance. Our room was opposite the slide. It worked regularly. The kids were happy in it. The pool is small. The sea is good, as expected. The sun loungers by the sea are shabby with life. Densely occupied, but I didn’t see a situation where there weren’t enough sun loungers. There was a day when the shower by the sea didn’t work (there was no water). There is a bar by the pool. Water, soda, coffee, tea. From 12 o’clock burgers, nuggets, fries. The first few days there was packaged juice, then it disappeared. There was an ice cream machine in the bar by the pool, but there was no ice cream in it. I didn’t see any animation. My husband played volleyball in some other places (on the beach, near other hotels). In the evening after 9 o’clock they poured cocktails in the bar by the pool. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong with them. We concluded that the problem was in the machine juices. In general, it seemed that they tried to create the impression of a renovation, but it didn’t work. The walls, ceiling, and windows (double-glazed windows) in the room were well made. They put cheap laminate on the cracked floor and attached an old, stained baseboard. I wrote about the bathroom: it was all in yellowed sealant. The doors were old. They painted the gratings on the stairs and dripped paint on the railings. Conclusion: price/quality ratio - bad rating. I don’t recommend it. If you have already bought a tour to this

Very good location with views out to the sea. Had a chat with a waiter regarding the cost of lobster which is on the menu per 100mg but the final price quoted by him was way more than UK so won't be having that! The waiter spoke very good English and our beers were nice and cold, good service once they realised we were there.

Burnt food, nice rooms, but many kids around. Ask for upstairs room if sea view or downstairs for direct access to pool.
