Hanay Suit Hotel in Side

I hate to be a Karen but can honestly say this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. First of all there is an obnoxiously loud bar across the road which plays music until stupid hours in the morning and the poolside music also plays until late. Second of all the bar staff and one man who sat in the lobby during the night shift were very passive, rude and unhelpful. I have recently returned home and realised I had left my rather expensive jumper/hoodie at the hotel and have since tried contacting the hotel requesting if this could be sent out to me (of corse I offered to pay for shipping expenses etc) and I have had no response. Not to mention you also have to pay for Wifi and Air-con which is ridiculous considering even the locals can’t get by without air on during the summer. About the only good thing I could say about this hotel was the lovely lady who cleaned our room who was adorable and made effort to make us as welcome and comfortable as possible. Would not recommend unless you can fall asleep in a sauna or night club.

I don't think I've ever seen a hotel so disinterested in hospitality and customer service.

This is a truly awful place to stay and is riddled with so many issues that I'm surprised the reviews are so pleasant.

The fact that necessities such as water and soap can't be provided is completely baffling. We arrived at 2am last week and had no choice but to buy water from the bar. Unfortunately we weren't aware AC came at an additional charge but this in itself is ludicrous considering the summer has heats that even locals struggle with.

I can just about accept there being no free WiFi in rooms but the free WiFi provided in the restaurant area is poor. To top it off, there were two days in our stay where the free WiFi was clearly turned off with the first time being attributed to a fire which supposedly wiped out some electricals. Funnily enough, both times the manager miraculously turned the WiFi back on.

The staff themselves are unprofessional and lack basic courtesy and customer service abilities. One person in particular stood out which is the bar/entertainment staff member who always wears a snapback cap. An insufferably annoying little man who sepnds most of his shift rambunctiously laughing and flirting with guests.

Whilst beds are surprisingly comfy, sleep is a struggle most nights considering music plays from the pool side at obnoxiously loud levels. This can also be attributed to the poor location where local bars spend all night hosting karaoke butcherings of classic songs and amateur live music.

All in all, this hotel is dreadful and I hope more people see the light and stop supporting substandard quality. However, big shout out to the cats on site and the big dog outside the entrance, they at least made me feel a tad bit welcomed!
