Nox Hotels Hyde Park in London

Hotel in an excellent location. Good service and clean rooms, but extremely small. Since there were three of us, I had asked, when booking (months in advance), for a suitably large room. We found ourselves in a room where we had to plan our movements between us! The rooms were also minimal, with no furniture.

Small Hotel with extreme small rooms but ideal for London tourist since close to 2 tubestations and in a nice district in London. Breakfast is not continental style, no scrambled egg served, no bacon or sausages just Toast, Marmelade, Cheese and Joghurt. Only 1 Elevator und stairs leading to outside hotel not from floors to reception or breakfast room. Room view was on room 109 to a rubbished yard ( see my pictures ).

The hotel was mediocre at most, I've stayed in my fair share of cheap to relatively pricey hotels and this one was pricey for a cheap and standard quality room, even the bed was small for a double. The staff are beyond rude and stuck up. The only way to access your room is by a lift which is useless when you could easily take the stairs, they store your bag next to the front door which is kept unlocked so hardly safe and have the cheek to say its the guests responsibility if lost. The rooms heating is constantly on which gives it a horrible smell that builds up, the beds very firm and the size of the room is extremely small so you're limited for space. The walls are also very thin so everything from neighbouring rooms can be heard. This is the first hotel that has let me down, and I've stayed in hostels that seem better quality than this. I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than a day. The only convenient thing about the hotel is the fact it's so close to the underground station.
