They offer a no-frills tiny room and shower/toilet that really can't fit more than 1 person. It was still $90/night, but London is an expensive place. It does include breakfast with eggs, bacon, and sausage every morning. I would have rather upgraded to something in the $120 range that was more of a typical hotel room, but this was a nice way to do London on a budget without staying in a hostel.
Internet was fast. Prepare for the possibility of a lot of stairs. Not elevators.

Cardiff Hotel has met some of my basic needs. The room is small in width but long in length. The bed was nice and comfy. The bathroom was small and clean. To my surprise had an iron set with a board so I can press some clothes. The staff was a great help for me on my daily plan and how to get around London. Plus, had no problem putting in a call to wake me up at a certain time. Great location near transportation to the rails, tube and buses. The breakfast to me was extra give me more time to just admire the decor. Speaking of decor, the banners on the balcony added that British touch to the armored knight at the front door.. Some things like having the A/C on in the middle of winter was strange. It's nice to have a hot pot with some tea bags and some foam cups to have afternoon or evening tea. However Where would I get the water? Not from the bathroom. You only have a 3 day stay (Maybe it has to do with policy). The Cardiff Inn made my 3 night stay in London a memorable trip. If I do return back to London. The Cardiff Inn is where I want to stay.

Perfectly acceptable. I've stayed in significantly worse places, but I've also stayed in better. This place is pretty middle of the road.
Pros- Good location overlooking a cute little city park. Plenty of good restaurants, pubs, and convenience stores on the same block. Within walking distance of Hyde park and the natural history museum if you're willing to walk 30 minutes. Good for solo travelers. Rooms are cleaned and resupplied daily.
Cons- Bathroom is suffocatingly small. Lots of stairs and no lift. Breakfast is a little bland and choices are limited, but okay if you're just looking for a quick bite. The windows are fairly old, so street sounds get through very easily. The pillows were pretty flat and uncomfortable. Didn't get any wash cloths, so be sure to bring your own.
All in all...a pretty middle of the road place! This place is great for solo travelers. The rooms and linens could use some updating. Breakfast is uninspiring. If you are jet-lagged, don't expect and easy sleep. However, big ticket London attractions are all within a reasonable distance and the hotel is close to some very good restaurants. Paddington station is right around the block and Lancaster gate is only about a 10 minute walk away, so its super easy to get around. Staff is always helpful, welcoming, and ready to help. Not a bad stay if you're just looking for somewhere to put your head down for the evening.

Generous rooms with heating and lighting by remote control, hairdryer, iron, teamaking facilities and a massive TV.Room service available. Staff smart and professional. Pleasant breakfast room . Buffet style with a large selection including delicious rustic breads . Large lounge/waiting area adjacent to reception. Baggage storage service available after checkout.

My results budget haunt in Paddington. Clean, friendly and value for money. Free WiFi, good breakfast - even if strangely it includes peaches!

The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful, with great restaurant recommendations. Bed wasn't very comfortable, the bathroom was tiny, and the food was just OK. The stair climb to the room was steep and long. The service definitely makes up for the (small) shortcomings. Two minute walk to Paddington station.

Went here every morning for breakfast while staying in London. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was very filling and helped me get through the first part of the day. Loved the servers!

Nice restaurant that caters well for young families. Great friendly atmosphere. The food was good and the bill was acceptable. Excellent location right next to Paddington Station. I'd take my family back there again so therefore I'd recommend this restaurant.

Average food at best, overpriced. Friendly staff which make up for it. We got sat down very quickly and the food arrived promptly, the wine selection was limited. Good for a quick bite before going out but I wouldn't choose this place for a date or having a nice meal with loved ones.

Good selection of the salad bar and all round variety in the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also nice place for afternoon tea. Prices are reasonable, portion sizes good be a bit bigger but otherwise good value for money still. Service is reasonably quick depending on time of day but even through busy periods I have found service to be good. Staff are polite, friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. Good place for family of 4 to dine together as there are booth style seating available. Overall good experience.

A typical English pub in a great area, located in the heart of Paddington, right in front of the Paddington train and underground station. Also facing the Paddington Hilton hotel.
Friendly staff and quick service.
Tried their fish and chips, and it was good.

A budget option in Central London, very close to Paddington Underground and GWR Station. Very convenient location to/ from Heathrow Airport. Among negatives; constant noise of water and hand dryers from washrooms, cold rooms and even colder attitude of the lady approving the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant area. Apparently she was the owner of the property. Rest of the staff was very cordial and cheerful.

my worst nightmare, my cell phone, my passport and my money were stolen, someone broke the lock and took my backpack with all my things, I asked to see the images of the camera in the door entrance, they say they can't show me the images, until the police come and they would come the next day, a week waiting and the police never came. They told me that in the images they have seen someone who was not registered in the room in and out, that made me more angry, as it is possible that someone who is not in the room come, who provided the keys? the staff? It was all very confusing and in my despair they just told me that they felt it and that they could not do anything

Best Italian in London!
If you want excellent honest Italian food this is the place the pizzas,and pastas are excellent and reasonably priced and all the staff make you feel welcome. Can't wait to go back.

Not a bad restaurant at all !! First of all the service from the waiters is one of the best given to me. I sat with another member invited to order opening garlic bread with mozzarella and mozzarella buffalo. Main courses We ordered gnocchi 4 cheeses, lasagna and pizza with chicken and onion. The first and main dishes were excellent .. the pizza was a little disappointing.

Highly recommended!!! Fantastic restaurant, every time we go the service is wonderful, the staff is friendly and polite. Delicious authentic Italian dishes. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back soon!

We are hear on vacation and love our food. Eaten at 2 Michelin Star restaurants this week and this place has the same quality of food and much better service than both those restaurants! Not to mention a fraction of the price! Restaurant was packed and food was out on the table within minutes... Thank you Ivan for fantastic service. We look forward to our next visit! :)
