I had a bad experience at the Welbeck though overall would recommend the hotel. The location is fantastic and while the rooms are clean, nice, and relatively spacious, the first night I was not able to sleep at all. My room had a connecting door with no sound barrier whatsoever. There was couple next door that spent all night laughing, talking, and what sounded like packing -- moving things, loud zipping. They finally left around 5am and I finally went to sleep but was awakened by the cleaning woman who very loudly cleaned the room and was shouting on a phone call. I complained downstairs and ended up moving to another room (with no connecting door) and was very comfortable. Virgil was especially helpful in moving me and making sure I was taken care of for the rest of my stay. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff and manager were all excellent, as were the front desk staff. I highly recommend sound proofing the connecting doors. I know in the future to request a room that does not connect to another one.

Worst possible to get reply not returning any money booked for 4 nights but due to TYPHOON in hongkong couldn’t travel. Requested to deduct for a night but got blunt reply. This is not good in service industry. Will never recommend anyone this property.

The room doesn't meet the standards of a hotel of the advertised level. The staff is untrained and rude to guests (professionalism is lacking).

The good - very aesthetically pleasing decor
- super close to Bond Street Station and Oxford Street
- Not too far from some cute restaurants and coffee shops
The bad - TV was not located in front of the bed but on the left hand side which made watching anything together uncomfortable and challenging
- noise from the glass recycling is really loud early in the morning. Woke me up more than once.
- no actual surface available in the room other than in the bathroom or the minuscule side tables which are covered in hotel’s books. No desk or table to place your items on or to drink your coffee at. Not even a writing pad provided. The only extremely small surface is covered my the coffee machine and coffee tray
- water in room not provided every day and when it was provided only sparkling
- one elevator for the entire building which resulted in waiting quite a while pretty often
- shower is separated from bathroom by glass but the glass doesn’t come out far enough to stop water getting on the floor. After every shower the floor was basically soaked, more like a wet room than anything else.
Although the hotel is pretty to look at and the staff are friendly I won’t be recommending it to anyone at this price point.

The hotel has been renovated and reopened. The room design is clean and elegant. The location is excellent and shopping is very convenient. It is close to the subway station and the transportation is very convenient. Good for business trip.

Hotel located at a walking distance from Oxford street nice spacious room still had a concern about the morning housekeeping noise& twice opened my room although I put a do not disturb sign rooms are much better than the photos changed the name to wellbeck hotel

Food was nice but the atmosphere and customer experience is shocking. The server doesn't change the cutlery after the starters and they are very rude. Lack of supply no garlic butter! The tables are tiny and it can't hold anything. They even ran out of desert spoons so they gave us teaspoons. All in all food is good.

The food and drinks were awesome. The service wasn't amazing but not terrible. The pizza was fantastic and the desserts are Even better.

Everything that this place serves is so f*ing delicious. Reasonably priced, house wine pairs well with the steak. Profiteroles are a must try, chocolate sauce is to die for. Service is fast and attentive, though you'll most likely get to queue up for at least some time. Decor is very nice, old school chic.

Best steak-frites in London. Crowded, no booking, basic decor, barely drinkable wine – but totally worth it for the perfect steak and delicious (and unlimited) frites.

We go often there and also to Paris where is the original restaurant. Always good, this is a very special restaurant. Just one meal but the best.

Great stake. No choice given. You eat a salad, then stake and fries; but it will be one of the best stake and fries you ever eat. They ask you how you like it cooked and they will give it to you in two servings. As many fries as you want and with a mouth watering sauce which is amazing. Enjoy!

An old favourite in London that does what it says on the tin. It's got more expensive recently with a service charge that didn't used to be there, but still good value for the food and location
