Quite a good value stay during the Christmas holiday season. The room was spacious and clean, with nothing really to complain about. However, the room lacked amenities, requiring us to request them separately from reception, which isn’t ideal for a hotel in this price range. On the plus side, this hotel is very convenient, easily accessible from Farringdon Station on the Elizabeth Line, making it a direct route to Heathrow.

Good service and close to the train station

Near Farringdon Station, so convenient when coming from Heathrow on Elizabeth line.
Normal Citadines facilities.

I booked a double bedroom but was given a room with two single beds without being asked if this was acceptable.

The room’s soundproofing is very poor—you can hear the housekeeper cleaning the adjacent room, the TV from neighboring rooms, and people walking in the hallway.

The room is generally worn out and in poor condition.

The booking page advertised an in-room washing machine, which was not present in the actual room. Only on the day I checked out was I informed about the guest laundry room in the basement. The staff provided no information about the hotel’s amenities, leaving me puzzled as to why this hotel received such a high rating on Trip.com.

The location is very convenient, it is accessible to all scenic spots within 30-45 mins walking distance and 3 mins walk from Barbican Station.Since it is in the residential and Academy area, the surrounding is quiet and safe. It is an Apartment Hotel so no daily housekeeping service and the amenities provided are basic. Launderette at extra costs is available, Tesco and few cafes are nearby so it will be ideal for travellers who need a stop to clean up and refresh.

Convenient location next to Elizabeth Line. Independent air conditioning which was good.

For a central London hotel, it's perfectly adequate. It's incredibly close to the Tube station, and there's a Tesco supermarket, both just a 5-minute walk away. The room itself was surprisingly spacious. Overall, it's a good choice for both convenience and a comfortable stay. I'd recommend it!

Fantastic location. Airport to hotel takes around 60-80 mins. I even walk to the British museum, 30 mins on foot

Reasonable subway. I've seen alot better options. No toilet and very limited seating. But holds what seemed to be a full selection of subway options.

Is good, depends on who is working because sometimes there are good staff and some days bad.

Never been more disgusted!!! Awful. Dirty. Cleanliness 0/10. Staff was wearing simple colourful tshirt, no hat, no apron, no subway tshirt. Just awful. Never going in that shop again. And telling everyone not to go there.

Not that great if you ask me. It's mostly empty and items don't feel to fresh. And the staff was amateurish

Genuinely impressed by the attentive and friendly staff, they served our plates without needing to ask who ordered what (and they weren't brought by the same person who took the order). Gorgeous selection of rare cuts, well prepared and served with unassuming simplicity. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and appreciated the bill not going through the roof. Will definitely come back.

Iconic uncompromising post-modern take on traditional carnivore eating. A Viking raider or a Dickensian trencherman would be equally happy to get their feet under these tables. The menu is as stark and to the point as the totally whitewashed interior, and what appears on your plate is exactly as described on the menu. Artful only in its painstaking simplicity, this is honest cooking elavated to high art. It's unique minimalism is trendy, of course, but at St John they would be doing exactly the same thing if it wasn't. Nor does simplicity come at all cheap. But what you eat here on any visit will so linger in the mind that you will probably need to come back for more. One part your grandmother's cooking, one part school-dinner, and one part sheer genius. The experience can divide opinion but I love it. Great wine list and excellent beers too.

This restaurant is a pioneer of nose to tail eating, therefore expect to see offal and bone marrow on the menu, there are other things as well but it is primarily about sustainability. The room is more utilitarian than glam but is very comfortable with its whitewashed interior. If you would like to understand what British food is, this is an excellent place to start

We had a very good meal here. the parsley and bone marrow salad (really set up to be spread on toast) was fantastic. I had the Hake and enjoyed it but the courgettes were too soft and overly buttery for my palate. My wife had the beetroot salad and the beef and enjoyed both. We followed with the Eccles pastry with the cheese - really rich and a great pairing. The dining room is quaint.
