When we first checked into the hotel, there was a very strong chemical smell. It was a bit difficult the first day, but thankfully, it eventually aired out and the situation improved.

Everything is great aside from the checkout. We planned to check out at 7am because we need to travel to Modesto for an appointment but the office is still closed.

Insisted we pay for a stained towel which I then easily washed out in the sink until it to was white again. There was no damage to the room but they kept our 200$ cash deposit.

Tried to check in at 3pm but room wasn't ready and had to wait another hour. Not ideal but ok as we just went for a walk around the area to familiarise ourselves.
Room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping only came on the first day but that's OK cause we hung our towels up to dry so didn't need new ones. Free parking was convenient but only limited spots available upstairs, the rest is below the building and due to the way some people park we couldn't fit out large ford into any spots. Would be good if hotel asked that smaller cars park downstairs and reserve upstairs spots for larger suv's.

It was so dirty; all the towels were smelly and dirty, and even when I asked to change them, the new ones were dirty.

The exterior is slightly dated but it was being painted while we were there. Our room was spacious and updated with hardwood floors and great lighting. It was very clean and kept stocked. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and I love that parking is included. It is in a great location-within walking distance of Ghirardelli Square and many restaurants. I would recommend for a budget friendly option!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They let us leave our car in the parking lot and held our luggage before and after our room reservation. The location is pretty convenient since you about a 10-20 minute walk from the Marina or North Beach. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area.

Place was very noisy and had a funky smell. But being that it was central to everything and a good price as well as a safe area it made up for it

There are some very unconventional things working great for this place.
1. They are an all cash place -- surprisingly, people are OK with it.
2. Their decor is very flashy and the couches feel old -- but that does look great in pictures !
3. Bar is separate from the food. So you order food at a counter and then go to get drinks from the bar's counter
4. The Tacos -- loaded with guacamole are supremely tasty and with both soft + crispy taco shells, the taste buds go for a roller-coaster ride of amazing flavors !
If you are in the area, I'd definitely recommend ! Anything on their menu is super tasty... and feels especially heavenly after a hangover or an arduous day-hike !

If you want Mexican food, go to the Mission. This place satisfies the cheap Mexican craving that you have though

Pretty damn good food.
One heads up with the chips, and salsa. "Salsa" is basically a bunch of raw tomatoes, not a fan myself but that might be you're thing.
Shares a space with a bar with red walls, I have no idea what the bar is called.
Also I wanna say this place is cash only, so that's annoying. Food is good enough that I don't care all that much.

Though we were told that this place was "fantastic", I found the food average to good quality. Nothing special but not bad either. Service was what you would expect in SF...

pescado taco nicks way, elote and chips salsa and guac are my go to. the other meats are good to, but the pescado is a must try!

For this one particular Subway - it was better when the last girl was working here. But I don't think she works here no mo.
The last five occasions on visiting this franchise, the veggie add ons were quite skimpy, even when ordering a "normal" Veggie sub you would think they would pile it on since the vegetable garnishes are the main ingredients.
It is possible that this is one of those franchises that protested bringing back the $4.99 foot long. So in order to economize losses, all the regular menu items have to be "sub" standard.
I think this most recent visit will be my last visit to this particular Subway.
Btw, there are now 3, count them three Subway franchises in the Fisherman's wharf area, one of these things doesn't belong. Because they have a bad habit of cross contamination of the condiment bottles. By not thoroughly cleaning the bottles. And that same place hasn't restocked the CO2 for the soda fountain - their Coke, Dr Pepper Sprite all carbonated beverages are flat or quite weak, meaning they taste like coloured water, but not soda.

It's an intimate place to eat and never busy. The counter intelligence is helpful without being gratuitously pushy to buy chips or a soda with a sandwich. The only drawback is the homeless people who come inside, rummage through the uneaten food inside the store. It was very off-putting.

I recently revised my 3 ? rating to a 4 ? rating, as the customer service, quality of food, and cleanliness have all improved as of late. I'm sure there have been several new employees, and the senior staff have stepped up their game, considerably. Still, there's room for improvement, but all-in-all this is becoming a decent place for a meal at any time of the day ?

Food is alright and service is inconsistent. Good music, but the red haired waitresses really put a damper on the mood for my table. We spent a little over 300 and the service was still lackluster

Bartender was extremely rude. Refused to make me a drink because he stated that he only wanted to make simple drinks. I then asked for a different drink and did not tip him because of his horrible service! I checked my card statement and he ended up still giving himself a tip. GO somewhere else.

Stop by for any of the daily deals and you will not be disappointed. Service was great, all that was missing was a slightly lower price tag on the drinks. Other than that, food was delicious and worth the visit!
