I stayed here for two years from 2012-2014 until they changed the manager for Luis and got evicted. Ryan was a better manager!

Other than the overwhelming smell of Lutfisk radiating from my pillowcase, there was nothing Swedish about this establishment. The beds have rubber sheets, which turned out to be a blessing because we drank about 1,239 Coors Lights (each) at the Giants game that night and you do NOT want to use the shared bathroom. It was like the first Saw movie but with more blood.

My best friend and I booked a room here looking for budget options while we attend the local conference. We had booked a room that was supposed to have a bunk bed, we were given a room with a double bed, the photos are incredibly deceptive, the gold trim is spray painted plaster and only lasts until the lobby area, if you can call it that: Pipers were sticking out of the walls, all the windows were wide open for any vagrant to sneak in and there's no security. Management told us they could switch us to a new room basically a day before we left. Night one we found a roach in the closet, Morning three a roach in the bed, I have bedbug bites as well on my arms. The room had graffiti all over it: Mirrors, doors, and walls. There was no visible kitchen to speak of, and the shared bathrooms were a trainwreck. There were people out in the hall shouting consistently throughout the night and slamming doors. Management themselves were hardly around and ineffectual at best. All for over $100/night. This was not worth it at all, if you're down on your luck and need a place for the night there are many better and cheaper options.

When looking for a hotel in one of the most expensive cities on the planet, when you choose to book at the cheapest hotel in town, so cheap it doesn't even require a security deposit, you are getting exactly what you are paying for. This hotel saw me through a very rough time in my life and I will always be exceptionally grateful to the owners and staff for the nights I spent there. That said, if you want a day spa and room service this isn't that. If you want a clean room, a safe environment, and on a budget, this is an excellent option.

My brother currently stays here and one time I visited and used the restroom, which is located down the hallway and only accessibld with key card. In there I found there to be no toilet paper, soup, towels or paper towels of any sort. There were also two bed buds crawling on the carpet by the toilet. Rooms are meh, livable but not the best, hostel style living situations with many seedy characters lurking about.

Room is ok but tiny and outside of it is hell. Bathrooms are gross, neighborhood is the worse you can find, other guests are super shady.

This hotel saw me through a very rough time in my life and I will always be exceptionally grateful to the owners and staff for the nights I spent there. That said, if you want a day spa and room service you're reading the wrong hotels reviews, if life got flipped upside down and it's either this, a tent in the alley, or a shelter... I'd book the sweeden house every time.

This was one of the most disgusting places I have ever seen. What the owners are doing to their guests should be illegal due to the lies that are portrayed online. The second we saw our room we got out of there. The beds looked like they had bed bugs and the outside was too sketchy to leave the car by itself for a while. Not to mention the area is filled with homeless to the point where you don’t even feel safe walking around. I hope no one ever decides to stay here because we drove around and found much cleaner and better motels for a similar price in better areas.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This place catfished me so badly. The pictures are not at all what they are providing for your stay. They pretend to clean the rooms but upon close inspection you can see that they obviously don't. I paid $150 to stay for 3 nights, and when I arrived they charged me a refundable $75 deposit. I walked into the room and walked back out. Decided to find somewhere else to stay. I thankfully received the $75 back but when I reached out to them with my complains I was met with silence. Don't stay here. It's also on a super sketchy street and the entrance isn't open so you have to wait outside until they open for you.

Please, even though the price per night is pretty cheap in this hotel if you compare it with other hotels/accommodations in SF, don't book your stay here. You have to put more effort in it than you should.
We booked our stay over hotels.com for two people for two nights. It was pretty spontaneous, but that shouldn't be an issue usually.
Before we booked our stay, we thought the pictures online were really pretty and we were expecting that the pictures were describing the actual rooms pretty accurate. Well, we were wrong.
When we checked we were even told that there is a room just for one night available even though I had my confirmation for two nights and so I showed that. Well eventually they told us they gonna transfer us to a different and we don't have to take care of our luggage, they gonna transfer it.
We spent there one night, cause the second night we were there right after check in time, but they told us the room is taken by someone else, so we got kicked out of the hotel and for a short time we had nowhere to stay. Even though they told us they transfer our luggage and give us a new key, nothing happened. We had to get our stuff from our former room and had to leave.

It is ridiculous and until now (over a month later) we haven't gotten our refund back. Such a mess and a lot of work for us. It is really not worth it. There are other places that are cheaper and seriously cleaner

This place was almost completely empty when I entered for breakfast, and that made me question my decision to eat there. I had the eggs benedict, and they were delicious though on the high-priced side. I did not like the chairs that they used at the dining tables semicolon not having a back on a stool makes it very uncomfortable.

My wife and I had breakfast there. Staff were attentive and courteous. Breakfast was great. Open floor plan and natural lighting adds for a nice atmosphere. The big plus was that the music was mostly 70's top 40 and the volume was subdued.

The service is so BAD here. The food is alright. The drinks are decent, but the service is sad. The food is over priced for what you get, expect to wait a long time for your food to arrive once you order. I don’t recommend this place ? This place is covfefe.

Comfortable setting. Decent bar. Good service. Disappointing food.

We were served pretty quickly, but the food took 45 minutes to get to us. People who arrived later than us got served first too. Check out the Eggs Benedict... or rather, the sad attempt at it.

Absolutely fabulous food, atmosphere and service. Mind you, the prices may seem high, but you get what you paid for. Great for large parties since servings are family style. I had to finalize the menu in advance, but you can customize it and even chose the title on the menu for the gathering.

What a charming place.

The restaurant is off an alley, which is hard to spot. The Le Colonial neon sign points the way. Outs an unassuming entrance, but once you get inside, it's marvelous. Looks to be an old Victorian how converted into a restaurant.

The food was great too. I wasn't wowed by their spring rolls, but the Pot An Pho was absolutely incredible.

Ok. Maybe my review is a little harsh. Normally I don't deduct for poor service. But they got my friends order completely wrong. As in wrong item. No offer of discounting barely an apology. We had a show to make so no chance of getting the right item. We requested another table but were told they had a reservation for the other table. It sat empty the entire time we were there.

Food would have been 4 star. Nothing spectacular. More upscale than most but flavors kind of flat.

I'd skip. Many other better choices in the area.

Came here for a team dinner with my company. Michelle made it easy to organize and order for everyone, while be conscious of dietary restrictions. The food was delicious and the drinks were strong and tasty! Be aware: they have a dress code here!

Excellent location. Atmosphere definitely resembles old French colonial buildings in Saigon. Food was very good. Had the oxtail bowl. Bone marrow with mushrooms was amazing. Highly recommend for intimate evening.
