Great location in North Beach. Only issue was starting construction at 8;00 am Sunday morning, sawing and hammering

I would stay at the Washington Inn again. The location is superb, a block or two from the heart of North Beach, but it was completely quiet at night. The price was very good for SF. However, you should know that the hotel is pretty rough around the edges. Shower handle a bit funky, carpet very worn in spots, aging tiles, mattress hardly in its first youth (but we slept well). If you want the bathroom in your room as opposed to across the hall, make sure to reserve ensuite.

Originally given the wrong room type and had to move, customer service was terrible, one of my rooms had no running water. Everything about it was so small. Only perk is the location.

Unclear of how the hotel has 8/10 other than amazing location! Beware when booking that the photos taken give the illusion of a standard room but the reality was an extremely cramped tiny room with very interesting toilet and shower. There are no lifts in the building either so be mindful when booking that you’ll need to heave you suitcases up flights of stairs

Very loud tiny room and bathroom across the hall. No staff when we arrived at 7 pm. No parking anywhere near the room.

The “concept” is very modern, but all sorts of ages of people choose to stay at this facility and some people are not versed in how to access the entry/ check in process— which was just plain inconvenient. Everything else as far as location and cleaning and such, was fine. You should have staff, just that simple.

It’s an older building difficulty with parking. No elevator upstairs. Could you some maintenance. But with all of that considered and in mind, the convenience to everything was difficult to beat.

The property is located in a very safe and eye appealing location. The hotel is a throwback to the 60's. The ONLY thing that has to change - the carpet. I stayed in 2 rooms, and I had several work mates with me. We all stated the same - the carpet was filthy. Bathrooms were clean, beds were very nice and the rooms are on the smaller side...but the location suited our needs.

Convenient location. Lots of Italian restaurants. Walking distance to Chinatown and the Financial District and the coast. Housekeeping is very helpful. Room is a bit small and cramped. There is no air conditioning. Walls have signs of water damage. Bathroom ceiling and walls have mold.

Great area. No staff makes it somewhat difficult. WiFi info was only at desk but with no staff you don’t go to the desk. Room was so small the bathroom door couldn’t fully open. Beware a standard queen is really a double bed size. Room was very stuffy even with fan running all day.

Still going strong after several years. Excellent bar, service, and food menu. The fried Brussels sprouts chips are excellent.

Park Tavern is a crisp modern restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and provided a fine dining quality experience from start to finish. We stopped in on NYE and we're very impressed with the decor and quality of presentation. Will definitely be coming back!

This place is happening!! Whether I just stop in on my own or bring a few guests, Park Tavern is always buzzing with energy! This time I went with the octopus which is tender with incredible spicing... the sauce dashed across the plate has a kind of poblano almost schirracha taste that is perfect! You can't go wrong on this menu so take a chance and step out of your comfort zone! The staff here are incredibly friendly and attentive from the moment you walk in. Watch for Adrianne at the hostess stand who always greets with a smile and Max in the dining room who wants to make sure your experience meets your expectations! Make Park Tavern your next dinner destination! Cheers!

Rich selection of bar, nice cocktails. Appetizers were good, too. However we didn't enjoy both portion sizes and overall taste of main dishes. Burger was good, fries too. But both pub steak and wagyu steak was not worth trying.

Would probably visit for the burgers and drinks, but not the main dishes.

Service was great. Food selection limited and just OK, yet prices outrageously high. $27 for a plate of "eh" vegetables? Would have been better off at the neighboring pizzerias.

The longest I've ever queued for a meal! Get there early while the queue is short otherwise you'll spend a while waiting - we nearly got to 2 hours. However, once you're inside, it's relatively speedy and the staff are helpful. The french toast is amazing and all the food is prepared and presented very well. (This was from a visit in September 2015 so it may well have changed now.)

My husband and I went here about a month ago while in San Fransisco and I am still dreaming about the breakfast sandwich I had there. It wasn't on the regular menu, was just a daily special but it was AMAZING!! Long line but they are effective at getting people moving along quickly. Totally worth the wait, just plan appropriately!

We LOVED this place. Not only is the food outstanding but the customer service was excellent as well. We enjoyed The Farmer omelet, which is packed with delicious goat cheese and a special they had, the Dungeness crab omelet. Both were excellent. We also loved the homemade jam and sourdough baguette that comes with your meal! This place is a local and tourist favorite, so it's apparently always packed but they are very organized and serve the food quickly once you're seated. Well worth the wait in my opinion!

My wife and I only had one morning in San Fran and I'm so glad we waited in line for this place. Mama's breakfast sandwich was INCREDIBLE! I haven't had a breakfast that good in a very long time. SO worth the wait! Nice employees and cute little sitting area. You won't regret coming here.

Great beer selection and that's just talking about the Rogue list. If you include the guest list, you've got more than one person can handle. Great burgers. Get the tots too.

I've been here 4 times now. The first two were okay, the third time gave me food poisoning. I'm willing to let that slide. What I'm not okay with is the last time I went here, i sat my happy self at a table, over an hour went by. Nobody ever tried to ask me if I wanted a menu or anything. Had to always get up and go to the bar. I wanted food but eventually i left and went to the thai restaurant next door which was great btw. I would avoid this place unless you are a group of bros that can easily attain their service.

Excellent bar in great location with a wide range of beers. We dropped I'm here while visiting Washington Square and as it was only just approaching lunchtime there was only a few in here. The bar man was friendly and as we are not from this country he recommended some beers to try. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try the food.

Good Beer and Good People

This place always has good beer and a good crowd but it can be pretty boring. This is SF, go somewhere shady if you want some improvement!

Awesome little joint. Great beer. Cool merchandise too! Friendly staff.
