Geneva Hotel in Miami Beach

My husband booked this hotel because it was cheap and near the port. You have to walk into a separate building next door (it's sketchy) to check in. Then you go over to the other building and have to walk up stairs with your luggage (no bag things or elevators). We weren't able to lock the door to our room, as it was broken. We didn't look at reviews and we regret it. Doors slammed all night long. Parking in front of this place is $50 (park at the garage it was WAY cheaper and just a short walk.) The hotel needs some serious upgrades. It says queen sized bed, it was a small full bed and it was loud. We could hear people uh using the loud beds. The wood floors make this place ECHO! Doors slam all night long, steps and rolling bags wake you up. Front desk people weren't awful, weren't overly friendly either. I don't think they like "tourists". We live in Florida, we just came to Miami for a cruise. Their air conditioning is not great either, it's on a central air system so you cannot control the temp of your room (it's not comfortable). The only good thing tbh about this place was the location. It's a dump, pay the extra money and stay at the nicer place, you'll actually get some sleep.

They don't clean the rooms; you have to beg them to do it. We needed toilet paper and they never brought it. Under the beds is very dirty, and there's nowhere to leave your luggage before check-in.

This hotel is a scam. They charge you upfront, and have zero refund policies because they know that people freak out and want to leave when they see the facilities.

Awful! Do not stay here!!

It was the only place available. We walked in the room and almost fainted. So disgusting. Hair all over bathroom. Bathroom was gross. Bed spread looks like it hasn't been washed in MONTHS. Paid 400.00 for 1 night. Never again. The rooms are small it wouldn't take much to update the place.

Room was smelling of smoking. No free parking. Room was not properly cleaned and it felt like haven't been painted for a long time. The fridge was smelling bad like rotten vegetables. Didn't watch TV but some people were complaining about it too. Too expensive considering the room condition.
The only good thing about the hotel is its location. It's very near to south beach and pubs etc.

Read this before you book a night. First of all the front desk people are rude and have 0 customer services. Instead of welcoming you worm and help you as fast as possible. Also, they are so sketchy that my bank refused their charge because they showed up as a scam. Also, they are in a lobby with some rental car agency that are straight up ass holes and thieves. THE BIG SHOCK, the room is worst than motel 8 rooms. The towels are the ones i use to wash my car. So small and hard. They barley clean your room ... there so bad only their location is good.
