Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
Current management has raised prices and clearly pressures their servants too much - they seem stressed and tense, unlike at most Subways. Friendly people don't stay long.
They constantly lock their bathrooms, fountain, and some doors; rarely greet customers with a smile, have smaller cookies than before, AND have gotten rid of the coffee - on a college campus.
I went from a 3x a week regular to actively avoiding the place. It isn't a shadow of what it was a year ago.
Don't bother spending your money there. These employees will treat you like trash, and very racist and sexiest toward women or who u are (since mostly all employees are Females). I guarantee you, or you will regret it.
Not even going to bother rating them or giving them a one star since these specific Subway do not deserve it at all!
The managers needs to supervise and see who they are hiring because it can affect their customer service.
The pulled pork and the ribs were both excellently prepared. Neither was dry or under seasoned. The fries are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Seriously, the best fries I've had outside Five Guys. Collards were traditionally flavored with vinegar. Mac n' Cheese was great; the noodles weren't overly soft and the cheese was dense, but light.
If you are a fan of spice, I highly recommend asking for their spicy sauces if they are not offered to you. The spicy vinegar sauce is a personal favorite with subtle layering of flavors. Magma was also excellent. Lava was a little too heat flavor and not enough real flavor for my tastes. The milder sauces were all excellent. I recommend pairing the apple cider vinegar sauce with the collard greens.
Service was prompt, friendly, and very helpful. Both our servers made some small talk and never let our water glasses be empty. Please be aware water costs 35 cents per person--we did not know this until it came time to pay, but was only a minor blemish on an otherwise great experience! Will be back.
Tables are arranged inside and outside.
Prices are reasonable considering the food quality and service.
Definitely recommended.
That being said if you want spicy, tell them that sternly. Miami in general seems to be afraid of adding spice to food. You can request for red chilli powder on the side as well.
We ordered a few apps and entrees and nothing disappointed. Highly recommend the peach and cheese filled ravioli and the eggplant parmesan appetizer.
