DW Ocean Front in Miami Beach

Location was nice and the beds were comfortable. The staff wasn't very friendly, room was outdated, the facility is shared with another hotel business, no face towels have to pay $1 per towel and they need to inform all customers before booking, office staff and valet speak little to no English and hard to understand, my room has insects, valet parking is an extra charge, main office closes at normal business hours so you have to check-in with the security guard. Overall, I wasn't happy and would never visit again!

I stayed at this aparta hotel with my family from 7/3/18 to 7/9/18 and it was a terrible experience. 1-No customer services
2-terrible room
3-no house keeping
4- no new towels or toilet paper (you have to go downstair to request new towels or tissue)
5- the staff are disrespectful, not educated, not acknowledgeable about the job and screams at the customer.
6- nothing is at walking distance(have to walk 20 mm to get to restaurants)
7- the pool close early at 7pm.
8- the room is horrible with no phone and beds without frame.
9-the bathroom is not in good condition -please see photos. You can explore other aparta hotel in this building but do not do DW Oceanfront Resort.
10- the kitchen is not in good condition and the fridge is very old. I felt i was in terrible apartment while staying here.
11- the wife does not function well.

Do not believe in the beautiful photos of this hotel, this is an old hotel! Old furniture, creaks and noises. the bathroom is dirty, the furniture has a lot of dust and hair, poor cleaning of the room. customer service is very low level and not friendly. The reception is not open all day, few houres per day!
My room was flooded with water, water was pouring from the ceiling. I had wet things, documents, a suitcase ... the reception desk promised me to change the room but DID NOT DO IT! I was with a 5 month old baby! As a result, I changed the hotel but they did not return my money back for this last night. I strongly do NOT RECOMMEND to SPOIL your holiday with this hotel !!!

Parking costs $ 20 for 1 day. They do not accept a bank card, you can pay only cash! I paid for parking twice. for the first 4 days, then continued for 2 days, I was given an invoice for email only for the first 4 days, in the next 2 days I do not have receipt.

I want to start at the very beginning from when we arrived to the hotel.
We drove in from South Carolina so we didn't get to the hotel until about 6:30 when we got here they told us that the office was closed and we would have to check in at the security desk. The valet guys and security told us that our valet was included in our reservation price. The security guard was very unprofessional. We get to the room and it has a strong bleach smell. That didn't bother us to much because the room seemed as if it was just cleaned. The room looked nothing like the pictures on their site. I also booked a oceanfront view and not a bay view but they said all oceanfront views was occupied. There are no wash cloths in the bathroom and we can't go down to the office to get any because they closed at 6. The next morning we go downstairs to get washcloths and he tells us that we have to pay to park our car. After everyone else told us it was free. Get back to the room later on that night and there are roaches coming out in the bathroom and in the room. VERY NASTY. We killed about 10 roaches within 3 days. I will never stay here again.

I'm going to do this in bullet form because it just makes it a bit easier to explain.
- Mold in the bathroom
- No phone in the room
- Linens were not cleaned properly
- Microwave smelled like it was on fire when no one had touched it
- Overnight staff said to come back at 7am if we wanted toilet paper
- Lower Lobby closed last night for cleaning, leaving no access to the private beach

However:
The valet dealt with a lot of nonsense from us and they were still exceptional, so that was pretty good. The view was nice, as was the location. However definitely not worth $400 at all. This is like a bad joke. Had we not went ton Key West the next day I would feel like my vacation was ruined. I almost left in the middle of the night because I didn't even want to sleep in the bed.
