The Modern Honolulu by Hilton Vacation Club is located in the heart of Waikiki, our hotel is less than a mile from Waikiki Beach. Honolulu Airport is eight miles away and Diamond Head State Monument is four miles.
Guests enjoy nearby entertainment, downtown shopping, and dining. Relax at our poolside bar and restaurant or engage in activities like hula lessons, lei making, or morning yoga.
Elegant accommodations vary between cozy studios and 1-bedroom suites which feature living area space and furnished balconies. Our modern coastal rooms include a microwave and a drip coffee maker.
Daily Resort Charge includes: guest internet access, two bottles of water per day, fitness and cultural activities, 10% discount on daily parking fee, 25% off daybed rental, one select appetizer with purchase of entree at The Grove.
Hotel opened in 2010, renovated in 2012.

I was very satisfied with this booking. The room was clean and tidy, and the scenery was beautiful with yachts docked in the beach and harbor. The surrounding facilities were comprehensive, including a large shopping complex nearby.

Best place to stay if you visit HNL! The hotel is quite far away from Waikiki, but its worth it. Parking is relatively cheap since you are paying resort fee. Room has balcony and very big bed! Loved staying here! will def come back.

Location is a bit off the busiest part of the beach but we like it quiet enough for us. Good size of rooms with a balcony. Not too many choices of restaurants around but still can make it to the biggest mall in walking distance.

First, the hotel did help us check in early, but the balcony was right above the hotel's platform, covered in industrial waste! It was a real eyesore. How can a Hilton property in a tourist city be like this?
Here's the main point: when we went to the front desk to request a room change, a plump, bespectacled male staff member at the front desk was extremely impatient. He acted as if changing our room was a huge bother for him, repeatedly telling us how troublesome his operational procedures were 🙄. It's unbelievable what kind of people they hire; this is Hilton's quality control, alright 👎.
The room facilities were relatively new, but there was no sheer curtain, the bathroom didn't have a handheld showerhead, the water pressure was extremely low, and the water was very cold. It was all show and no substance.

We stayed at this hotel from October 29 to November 4. Overall, the staff was polite and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided — which we appreciated. However, several issues significantly affected our experience.
First, the accessible bathroom we specifically booked did not match the photos. There was no handheld shower head, which was important for us. Second, the mirror in the hallway was noticeably dirty upon arrival, with visible streaks from a wet cloth — quite unpleasant for a hotel of this level.
I also reported that the faucet in the sink splashed water everywhere, soaking the countertop and the floor. I was told the issue would be checked, but nothing was fixed throughout our stay. The two-faucet system used to regulate water in the bathroom was also very inconvenient, and we consistently had problems with unstable hot water pressure.
A separate major issue was the parking. I prepaid and reserved parking for 5 days, but on the second evening all the spots were already taken, and I was simply instructed to park in a different building nearby. This was extremely inconvenient — having to carry things from the 3rd floor of another parking structure and waste additional time. It turned out that even if you pay in advance, your parking spot is not guaranteed — anyone from outside can take it. So you pay, but end up without the service you were promised.
Overall, the staff tried to provide good service, but the organizational issues, maintenance problems, and poorly managed parking system seriously reduced our comfort. Unfortunately, after this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

The location is far from the center but not too far from the mall , they gave us room on 3rd floor quite noisy , can not open the window, too noisy , service was just short of average but many people willing to sell you tour packages

Very disappointing, grilled shrimps was still cold inside and not grilled at all. Both salads, caprese and cole slaw must have been prepared in bulk, mushy and tasteless. Fries not crispy and also mushy.
The lobster tail, although mildly grilled was fantastic, soft and tasty.

Maybe this was an off night or we got the wrong server, I took my son's out for dinner. The waiter continuously addressed my 14 year old son instead of me, maybe I look younger than I am or my son looks mature for his age but it was irritating. Our food was also very delayed but the manager adressed that which was great and she acknowledged me instead of my children... I chalk it up to an off night.

Good service. The drinks were good. Had an old fashioned and one of those tall fruity icy drinks. We went for the 4 course $20 meal set. It was good and filling. Shrimp was food perfectly. Enjoyed the chowder and salad. Dessert was a nice treat to bring home for later & of course we brought home some biscuits!

Close to Hilton Hawaii village. Seated straight away. Extensive menu. Generous portion sizes. Child/toddler friendly. Really good service. Will be back.

The waiter that we had was awesome. I can't remember her name, but just look for the tallest person there. She was very nice to our daughter and she had a great personality.

Gulab jamun was not fresh. Quantity per serving is low. They seem to be running low on staff. We had to wait about 30 minutes and and when finally asked, we realized that they actually forgot about our order.

Visited for dinner. It’s pricey, service and food isn’t worth it. Please note, they charge 18 percent gratuity as a default on your check.

We visit Bombay Palace about twice a month. I always get a vegetarian option while my husband goes for the meat, lamb is his favorite and he is English so he knows his curry. This is our favorite Indian restaurant on the island.
Service is good and you almost always get seated right away.
My only issue is that the spice level sometimes is low, we like medium and it occasionally comes mild instead. Either way it is always tasty. Highly recommended.
Plus parking in the garage is only $1 with validation.
