First and foremost, you will not find a friendlier front desk staff in Chicago. These individuals make you feel welcome and appreciated. Tresa was nicest front desk person at a hotel that I have ever met. She went above and beyond! So grateful for everything she did to make me feel like a close friend.
Rooms are nice, I was in the east tower. You won’t be blown away by the space or the bed, but you won’t be disappointed either.
Views are nice depending on where your room is at. Some rooms have a beautiful view of the river or certain parts of the city and some rooms look into apartments.
Big Bar is a popular place to socialize on the 2nd floor. I highly recommend you stop by even if it’s to just look at the center tower of spirits.
Restaurants on site are decent. Food is middle of the road, but staff is very nice and attentive. It works in a pinch, but if you have the chance to explore the area, there are good restaurants around.

Great hotel with a good location. Even staying here in January we were able to walk across the street and walk the river. Everything was clean and every team member we encountered were pleasant and happy to see us. Special shout outs to Roberto in valet, Andy at baggage, and Carlton at breakfast. We booked a standard king room, Globalist status, and got upgraded to a suite with a river view. Solid buffet breakfast with all the carbs, breads and pastries, you could possibly ask for. We were a little surprised how small the bathroom was in such a room as well as the floating floor really floating in several spots. The one negative, which I can’t blame the hotel, is the lounge shut down on our day of arrival. For a property this big I bet they could’ve moved the lounge during its remodel. Overall a good stay and we would stay here again should the need arise.

Hyatt Regency Chicago is a fantastic hotel with a perfect downtown location. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and helpful. My room was spacious, clean, and offered breathtaking views of the Chicago River and city skyline. I appreciated the comfortable bed, modern amenities, and attention to detail throughout the hotel. Dining at the on-site restaurants was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. Everything about this stay, from service to comfort, exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Hyatt Regency Chicago to anyone visiting the city.

Rooms were clean but no glasses in the room and we had to ask for more cups and coffee. It wasn’t stocked well. We also noticed there wasn’t a bath mat and we were very limited on towels. Beds were comfortable and we liked all the hooks and the fact there was 3 mirrors for 3 women to get ready easily. View was cool from 31st floor and they gave my friend a sweet birthday card with coupon where we got. Bottle of wine and a big bag of popcorn from the market downstairs. So nice!

Loved this hotel! Very convenient location. Room was impeccably clean. The view was so nice even for a standard room. I received an upgrade to a king sized bed upon arrival. Service was great. They have several restaurants in the building that guests get a $25 credit for. Highly recommend!

Small side note: you guys should rearrange the check in line for world of hyatt guests. The layout allows for 2 lines and people will cut in front because there is room for them to just walk straight through. Not a big problem though!

The hotel boasts a truly excellent location, outperforming some pricier options. It's incredibly convenient for catching a cruise, right at the doorstep! The ground floor was quite lively, so much so that I initially mistook it for a shopping mall! However, after a two-day stay, I realized it's simply the hotel's distinctive atmosphere. The rooms are quite spacious, though the facilities are a bit dated. I imagine if they were new, the price point would be considerably higher. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, and the service was very attentive – I even left a tip! Valet parking is available, which is extremely convenient. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time. Thumbs up!

Came here for some drinks the last time my husband and I visited Chicago. The bartender was great, and I love the vibe of the place, feels like your hanging out in a friends basement. All the people leaving negative reviews just don’t understand the concept...it’s a dive bar and it’s just supposed to be a fun experience. We didn’t order food while we were here, just drinks...they were very inexpensive but still good. Highly recommend checking this place out!!

This place is a classic Chicago visit, they have decent burgers and drinks. Located below Michigan Ave, take the stairs down and it will be around the corner. The steps are a bit small going into the restaurant so be careful. I'd definitely will be coming back to this location.

Checking off one touristy thing on our Chicago list was visiting Billy Goat Tavern. Ordering was simple, burgers were good and atmosphere was iconic. I don't think I'd need to go back here time and time again, but it was fun to check it out at least once!

“Doubles are the best!” This place was really good. They have thin patties but plenty of flavor. Worth going and experiencing the old time tavern feeling.

I know it's famous from the SNL sketch, but I didn't think it was anything special outside of that. The food was no better than a Burger King or something and the whole place is pretty informal, making it pretty hard for first-time visitors to figure out how it works. It wasn't super clean either. I don't know why it has such a popular reputation.
