The Emily Hotel in Chicago

Everything about this hotel is special. Great staff- awesome restaurant/bar. Location is perfect. This hotel is my destination every time I come to the city. Which is quite often.

Nice newer hotel with lots of options. Rooms are a bit industrial but fine, nothing super luxurious but adequate.

My wife and I were in town for a quick two nights. The Emily was in a perfect location. Several amazing restaurants were maybe two blocks away. The rooftop bar is amazing. The rooms are comfortable.

The room was spotless, the people were accommodating and very nice, and it was a great quiet stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We went with a large room and it was just that, super clean with a comfortable bed and similar aesthetic to other Ace hotels. I do wish there was coffee in the room, but happy to have the coffee shop downstairs. I found parking across the street in Google's garage using the Spot Hero app which was cheaper and potentially easier than using the hotel valet. The location is good, walking distance to a lot of things and we even walked the half hour downtown. Also convenient to the train - I ended up on the brown and pink line (the most convenient) and the blue line (about 10 minutes away). Overall, would recommend especially if you want to stay in this neighborhood.

Yes room was clean and orderly with everything in place. Front desk and dining staff were professional and thoughtful. Music in restaurant was a bit high for volume, more relaxing type of music would be nice. Food was good and happy hour specials were nice. enjoyed our stay.

The Emily is a very nice hotel, but I was a little underwhelmed by it for some reason. Going into it, my impression was “new hotel with minimalist approach that has an artsy vibe.” We did find some art in one area by the elevator but I was expecting much more. We stayed in a King Deluxe and the room had everything we needed but did feel a little drab - maybe it’s the choice of paint color in the hallways and bathroom, maybe it was actually the minimalist approach? Something about it felt dark and flat. There is a steep step up to get into the shower that I think could be difficult and possibly dangerous for short people or someone with a disability. The bed was really comfortable, though, and the mini bar was stocked with a good variety if you’re willing to pay for it. We went to Fora for breakfast and my husband was really pleased with his meal, but, my meal - the breakfast sandwich, did not match the description in the menu and was extremely hot. I scalded my tongue on it. The staff at desk and restaurant were all very friendly and helpful, at all hours of the day/night. Definitely felt safe there and walked ALL over the neighborhood. Tons of restaurants and craft cocktails to choose from.

Clean, quiet and comfortable room, courteous staff. We received a $25k food credit through ******* and got exceptional pastries and coffee at the adjacent cafe.

Room was good, reception staff very good. Breakfast staff not quite so good. Disappointing that breakfast does not start till 9am on a Saturday.

Friendly staff, great location, room lighting was dismal (a few yellow bulb lights vs. white) and work area was small.
