Location is the best part of this hotel! The room was clean, large and nice, with a kitchenette. The service at the hotel was terrible. Basically none. Carry your own bags, not enough towels, couldn't check in before three ( I don't mean you couldn't get into the room, you couldn't even check in!) No-one to help store luggage, etc. But the location and price are good enough to make me stay there again.

The location is excellent. You can get anywhere easily from here. The shuttle is a shared bus, so it is not a "point A to point B service". The rooms are more like dorms, but they are clean and very comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They have a full gym and workout center that we didn't have time to use, but it looked great.

It looked much better on their website than in person, but I guess that could be said about most places. Parking is off-site and a short walk a way, but still an inconvenience. No amenities to speak of, vending machines or ordering delivery if you want food in your room. Our bathroom had zero counter space, you were either putting stuff on the sink or the top or the toilet, that was it. The location was kind of nice, it's quiet and pedestrian friendly, with access to some local attractions within walking distance. Bottom line is that you get what you pay for.

Alright so, everything about this place is mixed. I will explain further. Crew are mixed; polite helpful members and some of them aren't friendly whatsoever. Mixed rooms: definitely clean, but uncomfortable old beds, old furniture and outdated floors and bathrooms. The toilets don't flush properly. Mixed towards almost ugly old fashion decor everywhere. The pros: we liked the area and definitely cheaper than plenty of hotels. So there you have it. Will I be back? No. But if you are looking for something cheap and clean this is not a bad option. First time visiting Boston and I couldn’t of picked a worse hotel. First of all they shut the water off at 8am the morning we were checking out so I couldn’t even shower or brush my teeth or use the toilet. We were told this once we arrived that there would be no water for 3 hours or so. But yet they still charged me a 20 dollar “resort” fee, that should’ve been waived at least. Are you even allowed to run a hotel with no water?! The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable not enough pillows. The room felt like a college dorm room. Very outdated. We never received our welcome bag either. Very disappointing stay will not return.

+ Very nice location and appearance.
- No fan in the room and when I asked for one they said they'd bring one to the room but never did, and it was very late so I went to sleep after waiting an hour.

The room was like an Oven as there was absolutely no AC nor ventilation. They kept a small fan which didn’t make any difference. It felt like we were in a desert as we could feel the hot air on our face. When I called for a room change the front desk said all rooms are the same you can switch to another room but it will be hot in there too. The windows didn’t open fully too. The worst part was using the restroom and the bathroom. It felt like sauna. Couldn’t even breathe in there. We went to get water bottles, the vending machines were broken. We went to get the laundry done, the detergent vending machine and even the washing machine was broken. It’s a big defective hotel.

Good: The room was quite big. Senior member of the staff was quite nice and helpful.

Bad: There is NOTHING in the area and the hotel has no cafeteria / restaurant. Everything is over-used and somehow dirty (specially the toilet. Check the photos). Some of the staff (specially the young ones) were not very professional. I asked a member of the staff whether I could check out 2 hours later. He looked at me, from top to bottom, smirked and then said: "Nah... Maybe half an hour"... Finally, the toilet was very low and the water in it was stupidly high high: Very uncomfortable.

It's a very old building with everything very old, including the sink and bathroom essentials. Nothing fancy but decent for your stay. No complimentary breakfast or anything. Room service seems mediocre but neat. It's conveniently located by the water front and the mass general hospital so that's a plus. Don't go in expecting anything great but be assured that it is a decent place.

When we arrived, our room was about 95 degrees. The heat was on full blast for some reason and the windows were open. There is no air conditioning, so no great way to cool down the room. When we called the front desk, we were offered a box fan, and they manager told us “it is what it is, this is a 2 star hotel, there is nothing we can do about the heat, if you don’t like it, go somewhere else.” Next time we will, as the service is pitiful.
