Hotel Sucarà in Ordino

I've been lodging here over the last four years a few times each year. This isnt a shiny bougie hotel and I love that. This hotel is like staying with friends. The rooms are warm, the Internet is fast enough to kick butt on call of duty on the Xbox, the water pressure is intense and the hot water is seemingly bottomless. The baths - a rare thing in hotels it seems, are big and deep which is fantastic after adventuring or skiing all day. The beds are comfy not so soft you melt into them and not so hard you can't settle. Each room has a thermostat, a big window that opens and big old fashioned radiators to hang your stuff on. The place is old and well used, equally its not full of noxious chemicals and plastics. Dog friendly with parking outfront suitable for a big van or motorhome. 16minutes drive to Arcalis, 10 minutes to la masana. The food is good and the menu comprehensive but the key point here for me: is that I have severe and extreme allergies and I've not had any dramas - which is rare, the staff take great care to make sure I'm well fed and not harmed which means alot to me. The bar is often filled with locals and this place has a good authentic feel. If you dont like feeling like a tourist and are looking for value for money, it's here at Sucara

The room smelt of cigarettes but then went away after a day or two. The service is great around food and drinks lovely people working here. The location isn’t great as there is no shops in walking distance.

My first trip to Andorra and we were lucky to start the trip at Hotel Sucara, due to short notice we had to vacate for the weekend and despite thinking we found somewhere that looked amazing, nothing compares to the service and location of Hotel Sucara.
Don't go expecting the ritz, this is a real family hotel with real family values, clean rooms (we stayed in room 101 with 3 single beds), good heating and crazy hot well pressured water for everything you could need.
We had no issue parking, it's dog friendly (including a space to eat), the food is good and the service is incredible.
Coming to Andorra with limited French and Spanish at my disposal, I was warmly welcomed in English and made to feel like a valued customer throughout.

Very clean hotel, friendly kind staff but only 1 understood & spoke English. Bruno was an excellent pleasure to deal with, very funny & helpful. Food was delicious. 3 course menu €19. Ample plateful each course. Lovely walk by the river. Lovely views.

Spent 2 nights here as part of a motorcycle tour, staff were outstanding, food was delicious highly recommend the hotel & restaurant

An ok place? I didn't pay for 5 star and we didn't get it. Stairs to the rooms, no elevators. Don't pay extra for a room with a view. You won't get it.

I've stayed here on 3 trips now. The hosts/staff are welcoming, chatty, knowledgeable of the area. The building is always warm and clean. The food is very good and priced well. We always have room 104 as it has a large bath. Even when the hotel is full the water is always hot. Perfectly located as a base for ski resort activities. Feels like home to me now when in Andorra. There is a nice walk along the river immediately behind the hotel. The range of drinks at the bar is vast. The coffee is beautiful.
Last year a new wifi system was installed and a 10gb video clip went onto social media in under 1 minute. Impressive.

The shower had loads of pressure, the sink is big and deep, the bathroom is well ventilated but never chilly. The heating system is great. The maids make the room spotless and even folk clothes youve carelessly dumped on the floor during the morning rush to get to the freshly groomed powpow for 9am.

If I was suggesting an improvement i'd ask for a little fridge in the room for the milk for my tea.

If you need somwhere to "work from home"' this is blinding for the budget.

Warm, welcoming, clean.

Oh and a special mention to the hair dryer in the bathroom for not being the standard limp hotel ones. I have very long hair and this dryer is as good as my one at home.

Sucara has a good restaurant, the service is excellent and good hearty food is served. This is not a high-end place, but the food quality, at least the lunch service, is very good, clean, and reasonable value for money. A good recommendation if you are about La Cortinada, Arans, Llorts, or the Ordino Valley in general. The guys that run this place are very nice, too.

Stayed there for 2 nights as a family in the same room (2 rooms actually in the same appartment) (3 adults and 2 kids).
I was suprised to see the offered conditions for the price/person, especially for the christmass (amazing), food was great (same for price, got the daily menu), clean, spacious rooms, private parking, found the location good between the ski zone and andora la vela.
Friendly staff.
Heating worked great (personally found it a bit too hot but i don't think about it as a general problem)
