Hotel de l'Isard in Andorra La Vella

I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel in Andorra. From the outside, the building looks nice, but the moment you step in, everything feels extremely dated. The staff was… fine, but definitely not warm or welcoming — very mid at best.

The room was the biggest issue. The pictures on Airbnb are extremely deceiving — they make the place look fresh and modern, but the reality is nowhere close. When we arrived, the door to our room was already open, which was unsettling. The smell inside was overwhelming — a strong, chemical odor, almost like bleach. It was so bad they even had a machine running in the room trying to “purify” the air, which only raised more questions.

We had to sleep with the windows wide open just to breathe, even though it was 0 degrees outside. Absolutely not what you expect when booking a place that’s advertised as clean and comfortable.

Overall, this was a rough stay. The hotel desperately needs better cleaning practices, and much more honest listing photos. Location was good though so that’s a plus? I wouldn’t stay here again.

After we made the reservation, they told us there were no rooms left and arranged a shabby hotel for us.
