Renaissance Shenzhen Bay Hotel in Shenzhen

We stayed in this hotel for one night with the kids, it's value for money, the room is clean and new, it's located on top floors of a building, it has a great sea view and city view too. I called on the day of checkin and they prepared kids amenities and bathrobes for the kids. Also a surprise for my daughter who has her birthday in the coming week. The breakfast buffet was also satisfactory. We had a nice experience during the stay.

The environment, hygiene, service, and view all exceeded my expectations. It's incredibly good value for money; this quality usually costs upwards of 1500. It's located in the center of Nanshan, making it very convenient to get to MixC. Guests staying here also get lunch for just 198, which is unbeatable value!

The Executive Club experience for two was great. The environment was clean and comfortable, and the food quality was excellent. The Executive Lounge staff were warm and attentive. Since we were traveling with a child, we booked an executive twin room, and they thoughtfully upgraded us to a higher-category twin room, which was slightly more spacious. Overall, our stay was very pleasant.

We stayed two nights over the Easter holidays and overall had a nice experience, with a few notable downsides.

The highlight is definitely the high-floor room (45–56 floors) with a fantastic view of Shenzhen Bay. Waking up to that view was a treat. The hotel is located in what feels like a business / science and technology district, which became very quiet during the holidays—something we actually appreciated. The staff are friendly.

Despite the MTR exit being right at the hotel, there is also a proper covered pickup and drop-off area, making it very convenient for DiDi. This made getting around effortless.

The room itself was modern and comfortable. We loved the cool glass-enclosed bathtub design and the proper, well-equipped shower. Greafuly bath salt was included.

That said, a few things held the experience back:
•Soundproofing is poor, as mentioned in other reviews. We could clearly hear housekeeping noise from the next room in the morning around 8ish 9am.

•The snack bar concept feels outdated. Instead of charging extra for snacks, it would be better to simply include something unique and special in the room rate.

•Surprisingly, there’s no capsule coffee machine, only basic drip coffee that requires boiling water—not ideal if you’re feeling lazy in the morning.

We chose not to include breakfast, preferring to explore local food options instead. The robot service was a fun and interesting touch now.

Always a good experience staying at Renaissance. It has all you need, close to 万象天地, KTV, good food and quiet neighbourhood. Price is also one of the best in higher quality hotels in SZ. Would recommend.

The room was great with a nice view, and the service was pretty good. The windows were a bit dirty, and there wasn't a complimentary first round of mini-bar drinks. The location, however, was very convenient. Occasionally, there were strange noises at night coming from the furniture, windows, and air conditioning. As a solo traveler, this made me a bit uneasy.

Fantastic service! From the moment I stepped out of the car, I was greeted and helped with my luggage all the way up to my room. Everyone made me feel comfortable, whether it was the front desk, the greeters, or housekeeping – all were incredibly kind and patiently answered my questions. The breakfast was also great, and I especially loved the egg pudding! The room had a wonderful view and I found the shower design quite interesting. I really liked this room! I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance. Very impressed!

The hotel's flow design is very problematic; every time I left, I had to wait a long time for the elevator. The rooms inside the hotel are quite large and have nice views, but other facilities are very outdated. The hotel rooms and floors are completely not soundproof. I rarely book this type of hotel and wasn't used to having so many paid amenities in the room. A large deposit is required at check-in. Getting takeout was very inconvenient; I had to go down to the first floor myself, but getting to the first floor meant going through the lobby and waiting a long time for the elevator.
