Checked in on the 38th floor, the view was incredible. My friends and I were traveling together, and when we got tired from walking, we'd just grab coffee on the 38th floor. The service was excellent, and they even brought us welcome fruit. The room was spacious, and it's close to the Bund.

Traveling with a child for a visa appointment, the location was incredibly convenient, right off the bustling Huaihai Road. We stayed on a high floor, which was very quiet, and we had a great night's sleep. The facilities are a bit older, but they're well-maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including an oven and microwave.

No A/C — very uncomfortable stay. My room was hot and stuffy, and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I tried to cancel my second night because of this, but the hotel refused to accommodate the request, even though it seemed to be an issue affecting the whole building. I enjoyed staying here. It was in a beautiful location. My 17th floor room window faced the Pudong business district, so I got to watch those skyscrapers light up every night. The window handle in the bathroom was broken, and the bathroom would smell a bit musty if I left that window closed, but it was also incredibly humid when I was there.

The Pictures of the Room are very misleading. We had 8 rooms and non were like the pictures here. Most didn't even had a window, because they where inside rooms. Only an upper window toward the hallway. Overall most of our rooms were really old. Carpets and Walls were dirty. We only stayed 2 nights, but unfortunately we would never book it again.

This is a 4-star hotel in a great location. It's just a short walk to the subway station, making it easy to get anywhere. Zhangyuan, Chairman Mao's former residence, and the site of the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China are all just around the corner. Extremely satisfied! The room was quiet for sleeping, with excellent blackout curtains. The layout and amenities were very comfortable. This is my top choice for hotels in Shanghai. The TV allowed for screen casting, and the bathroom was exceptionally comfortable. I'll definitely be back.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Louis Vuitton building. The hotel environment and design are quite good, and the service was also spot on. They even upgraded me to a suite. Everything was very satisfactory, and by the way, the breakfast variety and taste were also great.

This hotel is perfect for a relaxing stay, and Taikoo Hui is great for shopping nearby. The overall service was excellent, and the toiletries had a lovely, soothing scent. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. I'd definitely choose this hotel again, though I do hope they can unify the scent in the public areas of the guest rooms for an even better experience.

The elevator smells bad and is worn out. The rooms are small and do not have a desk. The metro is easy to access. The price is reasonable.

Luckily we could change the room. But for that price way to dirty and to old. They just have one room what really match the pictures and that is still old and some stuff are not working right. For that price not recommended, maybe for a short party night with a good view out of the room.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The staff is very kind, helpful and the cleaning lady even returned to us some items we forgot. The room was cozy, clean, very modern and the bed was so comfortable. I stayed at The Middle House for five nights and had a very comfortable experience. The staff were all very friendly, especially Nifty, who arranged everything perfectly before and after check-in.
