Shanghai, 333 Guang Zhong Road West (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
great location, nice hotel and cheap. good restaurant also nearby
The two-bedroom connecting room at Marriott is perfect for family trips. There's plenty of space, giving each family member their own comfortable bed, and the connecting passage allows for easy interaction. Having two bathrooms means no waiting in line for the toilet or shower. The Baohua Marriott is well-maintained and looks quite new. The bedding is clean, and the duvets seem fresh. In winter, the...
The hotel is located near Shanghai Circus World, about 800 meters from Circus World Metro Station. Across from the hotel is Daning Park, and there are high-end residential buildings under construction in the surrounding area. Some road sections are uneven, so please be careful when getting around.
The room environment is excellent, very cozy with good lighting. The sanitary facilities are clean and quite new. There's a buffet downstairs, and coffee is very convenient. I'll definitely choose Marriott again next time; it feels very comfortable.
The Shanghai Marriott Hotel Parkview boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation, right across the street from the park. The hotel lobby is grand and impressive. The doormen are well-trained, not only opening car doors but also assisting with luggage. The front desk staff are highly professional; they accommodated our request for a quiet room. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, and...
An established hotel with excellent service and convenient transportation for business travel. The environment is pleasant, and the sanitation is good, making it suitable for business trips and hosting foreign guests. Very good, very good, very good, very good, very good, very good, very good.

Shanghai, No. 88 Guoding East Road, Yanpu, 200433 Shanhay, Kitay (7 km from centre) 🧭 Map
My second stay here. The location is great, right above Hopson One, making dining and getting around very convenient.
Facilities: The elevator design is terrible; the button numbers are hard to see. Breakfast is very poor and needs improvement. There's no waiting area on the 6th-floor lobby for check-in, which is a major drawback and really needs to be addressed. As Elon Musk said, 'Why do Chinese people make things difficult for other Chinese people?' Hygiene: Excellent! 👍 Both the guest rooms and the 6th-floor lobby...
The Grand Hyatt is right next to HOPSON ONE, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. A big thanks to Claire at the front desk and Kevin from Trip.com for arranging a late check-out and parking service. The kids had a blast at the pool!
Traveled with my mom for Chinese New Year, and we requested a south-facing room at the front desk. The facilities were pretty good and quite clean. The breakfast buffet in the morning also offered a wide variety, basically everything you'd expect. My mom was quite pleased! 👍
1. Service: 100 points. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The concierge at the door proactively helped us with the car door and luggage, informing us that our bags would be delivered to the room shortly. The handsome front desk agent who checked us in was highly efficient and incredibly warm and thoughtful. He proactively informed us about the location and operating hours of the hotel...
Whenever I visit Shanghai, I always make a point to book the Hyatt Regency Wujiaochang. The location is super convenient, with a shopping mall right downstairs, and the hotel's service is really top-notch! A big shout-out to our excellent housekeepers, Kevin, Esther, and Claire! 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️ Their service was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. Two thumbs up! The hotel breakfast is also very good...

Called before check-in to confirm my arrival time. There was a bit of a wait when I got there, but the front desk agent upgraded my room. The room was quiet, clean, and well-insulated. The scent in the hallway was very pleasant. The housekeeping staff did an incredibly thorough job cleaning. Because of the high floor and temperature difference, the window would rattle at night. After mentioning this...
Honestly, it doesn't really matter! I've stayed at your Park Hyatt Shanghai and other great hotels in Shanghai! Usually, the prices are pretty similar during the off-season! The next day, because I had such a delicious breakfast and afternoon tea! I'll definitely wake up for your breakfast whenever I can! And your room has an unobstructed view of the Bund, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and all the beautiful...
Super spacious. Great washroom with both bathtub and shower. Lounging on the chaise enjoying the view was super comfy. We didn't need it, but there was a ton of storage space and even a jewellery box. I will note this is an older hotel, so some of the interior shows wear or outdated tech. There was a plug in one of the washroom sinks that wasn't working, which someone had removed and set aside on...
Our stay at Park Hyatt Shanghai was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and genuine friendliness, making us feel completely at home. Every interaction reflected care and professionalism, enhancing the overall experience. The hotel itself is stunning—elegantly designed, serene, and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious and luxurious, with breathtaking...
Excellent stay - we checked into the J hotel across the road, and checked out immediately due to poor condition of room. Park Hyatt to the rescue, faultless stay and a class above J Hotel.
The environment was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly attentive from check-in to check-out. The in-room facilities were also well-maintained. The only downside was the bad weather during my stay, so I didn't get to enjoy any of the views.

The hygiene and service were excellent! They even gave my child two free breakfasts, which was a very kind gesture. The breakfast was plentiful and the view from the window was unique. Plus, it's really close to all the attractions.
First off, the service was excellent! The front desk lady (I think her name was Ashin) was really enthusiastic and professional. I highly recommend the Bund River View room! The view is absolutely stunning!! Although it's a bit older, it's very clean. And the fried dumplings at breakfast were delicious!!! The breakfast overall had a Western focus.
The room was a bit small, and changing elevators was a bit inconvenient. However, the afternoon tea was exquisite, and the view was absolutely stunning. It was quite crowded during the Spring Festival, and the check-in process could definitely be faster.
The facilities are really well-maintained. If you're looking to avoid the crowded Bund, this place is an excellent choice. The views are superb, and getting around is very convenient. The service is top-notch; they're attentive to guest needs but also maintain a respectful distance, without being intrusive. I'm very satisfied.
Stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Pudong for a night during the Chinese New Year. Even though I usually prefer newer hotels, the Ritz's unique charm convinced me. The check-in process was a pleasant surprise. The Ritz-Carlton staff always impresses me with their professionalism and efficiency, and Jennie was no exception. The process was seamless. I had booked a Bund river view room, and Jennie explained...
This was an incredibly satisfying stay, and I rarely write reviews. But this time, I couldn't wait to share my experience. Firstly, every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic and provided excellent service. They even wrote a handwritten card, gifted a 'God of Wealth' cake, and thoughtfully placed it in the fridge. The room was generally clean and spacious, and the bathroom facilities were also good. The staff's service attitude was particularly excellent. We arrived early and had other matters to attend to, so the attendant Lily thoughtfully arranged an early check-in for us.
The hotel service was excellent, and our room attendant Sarah was very responsive. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. I had a great rest during my business trip. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip.
Huge thanks to the front desk staff on the evening shift of the 3rd, who upgraded me to a suite! The environment was great. The cleaning lady was also very attentive; she found my lost earplugs and even gave me an extra pair. It's also nice that the prices didn't skyrocket during the holiday, and the hotel management is excellent.

This hotel is right next to the elevated road, near Shanghai South Railway Station. Compared to other hotels in the area at the same price point, this one has the best facilities. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The transportation is convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby.
The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation access. It's close to Shanghai South Railway Station, and the metro lines 1, 3, and 15 are all nearby. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is warm and friendly.
I've actually stayed at Pullman hotels quite a few times in the past year, so I'm a familiar face. I did have one bad experience before: my travel companion had a fever and after ordering takeout, we asked the front desk staff to bring it up, explaining the situation, but they still refused. However, after some communication later on, they did rectify the issue. Now, the overall service has also improved...
Great location with easy access to transportation and plenty of food options nearby. The hotel is on a high floor, so it's quiet. The shower pressure is fantastic, very comfortable. It's also super close to the Xujiahui shopping district, making it convenient to get anywhere.

Excellent location, right by the Bund. It was Mother's Day, and I wanted to make it special for my mom. The service was fantastic! A big thank you to the lovely front desk lady who upgraded our room.
Came to Shanghai with my family specifically to experience the renowned Peace Hotel. The front desk kindly upgraded us to a connecting city-view family room. The breakfast was definitely good and we enjoyed it a lot. All the hotel services were excellent.
This nearly century-old building is a masterpiece by the British Jewish entrepreneur Victor Sassoon. Renamed the Peace Hotel in 1956, it largely retains its original charm. They offer two daily hotel history tours (free for guests, at 10 AM and 2 PM) if you want to delve deeper into its past. In the evenings, you can enjoy a performance by the famous Old Jazz Band at the Jazz Bar starting at 7 PM.
I chose the Peace Hotel for its history, prestige, location, and the vibrant Bund area. I was truly impressed by the meticulous service and attention to detail after checking in. This is what I consider a true five-star experience, far surpassing any Marriott property. From the quality of the breakfast and the training of the staff, to the turndown service, the placement of the bottled water, and the...

Our stay was absolutely flawless! A special shout-out to our dedicated concierges, Evelynn and Danny, who managed every aspect from check-in to check-out with incredible efficiency and precision. Whether it was luggage delivery or arranging transportation, everything went seamlessly without any waiting. The Waldorf Astoria on the Bund truly lives up to its reputation for top-notch service.
The hotel is right by the Bund. If you turn right after exiting, there's an open-air shisha lounge on the 9th floor of the building next door. The atmosphere is quite good, and the shisha is very authentic. The breakfast was decent. I'd definitely stay here again.
The concierge service at Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund sets the gold standard for luxury! A special thanks to Mark, Max, and Jimmy. The hotel is beautiful and the service is good. The price was higher than expected, but overall it was a decent stay. The only drawback is that the surrounding amenities are incomplete; you have to walk quite a distance to find dining options beyond high-end clubs.
We chose this castle-style hotel for our anniversary. It looked grand and comfortable even on the platform. After booking, I specifically asked the hotel to help decorate the room. Attended an exhibition, and it was quite good. The room was large and comfortable, and the location was convenient for taxis. The staff were enthusiastic, and the hotel facilities were relatively comprehensive.
The breakfast was plentiful and the room was comfortable. Even though the hotel is a bit old, it's very well maintained. A special shout-out to the housekeeping staff on the 12th floor for their warm and patient service! I'll definitely be back next month.
I brought my parents here for a change of scenery during the May Day holiday. The hotel is right next to a residential area, and I really liked that the room was quite spacious and even had a balcony! You need to confirm with the staff if you want to open the balcony door. The decor features a lot of marble, which must have been quite luxurious back in the day, but it definitely shows its age now....

JW Marriott Hotel Oriental Beauty Valley in Fengxian is truly a masterpiece, and I've been coming back for two years in a row. I feel like there's been an improvement this year compared to last year. I came to Shanghai for a boring May Day holiday and booked a Pullman suite. The hotel was very busy, which really tested their reception capacity. Breakfast was just okay. The room was quite spacious, but after midnight, some foreigners were having a party in their room. It was a real headache.
The hotel has excellent facilities, and it's conveniently located near the city center with easy subway access. Mana at the front desk provided great service 😊
Traveling with a child for a visa appointment, the location was incredibly convenient, right off the bustling Huaihai Road. We stayed on a high floor, which was very quiet, and we had a great night's sleep. The facilities are a bit older, but they're well-maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including an oven and microwave.
No A/C — very uncomfortable stay. My room was hot and stuffy, and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I tried to cancel my second night because of this, but the hotel refused to accommodate the request, even though it seemed to be an issue affecting the whole building. Excellent! This classic hotel really delivers on service. I had a garden view room, which was clean and tidy, and the walk-in closet and vanity room were super convenient. The Western restaurant was very upscale and offered a truly authentic Western dining experience.
Terrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of...
If you're torn between hotels like Shanghai Centre J, Amanyangyun, Bulgari, and The Peninsula for your trip, I have to say The Peninsula's service is comparatively subpar among them. Extremely satisfied! The room was quiet for sleeping, with excellent blackout curtains. The layout and amenities were very comfortable. This is my top choice for hotels in Shanghai. The TV allowed for screen casting, and the bathroom was exceptionally comfortable. I'll definitely be back.
Great service and overall experience at the Sukhothai Shanghai. Was visiting the city to celebrate my mom's birthday, and the staff at Sukhothai even did a little birthday surprise decor in the room. We were delighted! Will be back for sure.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Louis Vuitton building. The hotel environment and design are quite good, and the service was also spot on. They even upgraded me to a suite. Everything was very satisfactory, and by the way, the breakfast variety and taste were also great.
This hotel is perfect for a relaxing stay, and Taikoo Hui is great for shopping nearby. The overall service was excellent, and the toiletries had a lovely, soothing scent. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. I'd definitely choose this hotel again, though I do hope they can unify the scent in the public areas of the guest rooms for an even better experience.

She upgraded our room for free so we had a clear view of the city skyline and was on hand for any questions and recommendations. When my husband came down with food poisoning she extended our check out by several hours so he could rest and gave us a...
Traveling to Shanghai, I chose this hotel for its excellent location, very close to Nanjing Road and the Bund. The staff were warm and welcoming. I stayed in the Oriental Pearl twin room, which was very spacious with two beds and offered a view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. Overall, I was satisfied. When checking out, the staff even helped me carry my luggage down the steps, which I really appreciated...

Hotel is great. Clean & great service. Feel free to ask for directions. Please use the official DiDi app to book transportation. Best to decline any private arrangements or may result in being stranded in the cold for over an hour. (Personal experience)
