The accommodation was good, and the breakfast was excellent. We booked two rooms, and while the wait for the rooms to be ready for check-in was a bit long, they ended up upgrading one of them and placing both rooms on the same floor, which was a nice touch. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, though, and it's a bit of a walk from the subway station.
I booked a twin room, and it was spacious enough for two adults and one child traveling together. While some say the facilities are old, the bathroom has actually been renovated. The lighting is bright, and there's a vanity stool. The shower is a bit small but acceptable.
The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the food is quite good. It would be even better if they offered some local Shanghai specialties...
I was very satisfied with my stay this time. The front desk staff, especially Xiao Lou, was enthusiastic and attentive, patiently assisting me with any questions I had, and was always friendly and professional. The housekeeping staff was meticulous and thorough, paying close attention to details. I'd especially like to commend Managers Li and Lucy from the floor staff for their thoughtful and heartwarming...
Everything about the room was great. As an older five-star hotel, the materials used are excellent, and I especially loved the chair – it was so comfortable. It would be even better if the carpet could be removed!
An older hotel with dated facilities, it definitely has that old-money vibe. It's now under Marriott, though I heard it's been downgraded. The location is super convenient with Century Avenue and the metro station nearby.
The hotel service was excellent. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the restaurant staff were highly professional. The hotel also has a swimming pool, which is great for families with kids. Plus, the location is really convenient.

great location, nice hotel and cheap. good restaurant also nearby
The two-bedroom connecting room at Marriott is perfect for family trips. There's plenty of space, giving each family member their own comfortable bed, and the connecting passage allows for easy interaction. Having two bathrooms means no waiting in line for the toilet or shower. The Baohua Marriott is well-maintained and looks quite new. The bedding is clean, and the duvets seem fresh. In winter, the...
The hotel is located near Shanghai Circus World, about 800 meters from Circus World Metro Station. Across from the hotel is Daning Park, and there are high-end residential buildings under construction in the surrounding area. Some road sections are uneven, so please be careful when getting around.
The room environment is excellent, very cozy with good lighting. The sanitary facilities are clean and quite new. There's a buffet downstairs, and coffee is very convenient. I'll definitely choose Marriott again next time; it feels very comfortable.
The Shanghai Marriott Hotel Parkview boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation, right across the street from the park. The hotel lobby is grand and impressive. The doormen are well-trained, not only opening car doors but also assisting with luggage. The front desk staff are highly professional; they accommodated our request for a quiet room. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, and...
An established hotel with excellent service and convenient transportation for business travel. The environment is pleasant, and the sanitation is good, making it suitable for business trips and hosting foreign guests. Very good, very good, very good, very good, very good, very good, very good.

Shanghai, Shanghai IFC, 8 Century Avenue, Lujiazui, Pudong (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hygiene and service were excellent! They even gave my child two free breakfasts, which was a very kind gesture. The breakfast was plentiful and the view from the window was unique. Plus, it's really close to all the attractions.
First off, the service was excellent! The front desk lady (I think her name was Ashin) was really enthusiastic and professional. I highly recommend the Bund River View room! The view is absolutely stunning!! Although it's a bit older, it's very clean. And the fried dumplings at breakfast were delicious!!! The breakfast overall had a Western focus.
The room was a bit small, and changing elevators was a bit inconvenient. However, the afternoon tea was exquisite, and the view was absolutely stunning. It was quite crowded during the Spring Festival, and the check-in process could definitely be faster.
The facilities are really well-maintained. If you're looking to avoid the crowded Bund, this place is an excellent choice. The views are superb, and getting around is very convenient. The service is top-notch; they're attentive to guest needs but also maintain a respectful distance, without being intrusive. I'm very satisfied.
Stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Pudong for a night during the Chinese New Year. Even though I usually prefer newer hotels, the Ritz's unique charm convinced me.
The check-in process was a pleasant surprise. The Ritz-Carlton staff always impresses me with their professionalism and efficiency, and Jennie was no exception. The process was seamless. I had booked a Bund river view room, and Jennie explained...
This was an incredibly satisfying stay, and I rarely write reviews. But this time, I couldn't wait to share my experience. Firstly, every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic and provided excellent service. They even wrote a handwritten card, gifted a 'God of Wealth' cake, and thoughtfully placed it in the fridge. I was truly impressed. There was also a lovely lady from Kazakhstan who spoke Mandarin...

Booked this hotel last minute because my child had an exam nearby, and overall it was a good experience. Parking was convenient for coming and going, and the food at the park across the street was also quite good. The hotel staff were all very polite and accommodating.
Great hotel, great location for the Expo center, great service and affordable price. 4 to 5 Stars hotel...
The room was generally clean and spacious, and the bathroom facilities were also good. The staff's service attitude was particularly excellent. We arrived early and had other matters to attend to, so the attendant Lily thoughtfully arranged an early check-in for us.
The hotel service was excellent, and our room attendant Sarah was very responsive. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. I had a great rest during my business trip. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip.
Huge thanks to the front desk staff on the evening shift of the 3rd, who upgraded me to a suite! The environment was great. The cleaning lady was also very attentive; she found my lost earplugs and even gave me an extra pair. It's also nice that the prices didn't skyrocket during the holiday, and the hotel management is excellent.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable, offering great value for money. The lobby is especially luxurious; walking in, it immediately gives off a five-star vibe. The service is also incredibly good. Highly recommended!

This hotel is right next to the elevated road, near Shanghai South Railway Station. Compared to other hotels in the area at the same price point, this one has the best facilities. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The transportation is convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby.
The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation access. It's close to Shanghai South Railway Station, and the metro lines 1, 3, and 15 are all nearby. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is warm and friendly.
I've actually stayed at Pullman hotels quite a few times in the past year, so I'm a familiar face. I did have one bad experience before: my travel companion had a fever and after ordering takeout, we asked the front desk staff to bring it up, explaining the situation, but they still refused. However, after some communication later on, they did rectify the issue.
Now, the overall service has also improved...
Great location with easy access to transportation and plenty of food options nearby. The hotel is on a high floor, so it's quiet. The shower pressure is fantastic, very comfortable. It's also super close to the Xujiahui shopping district, making it convenient to get anywhere.

My child had a performance on the last day of the New Year in the ballroom at Pullman Shanghai South. Knowing traffic would be a nightmare that morning, we decided to check in a day early.

The Peace Hotel is an absolute classic, with a constant stream of people taking photos by the entrance. Stepping into the lobby, you're immediately struck by its impressive historical grandeur. Excellent location, right by the Bund. It was Mother's Day, and I wanted to make it special for my mom. The service was fantastic! A big thank you to the lovely front desk lady who upgraded our room.
Came to Shanghai with my family specifically to experience the renowned Peace Hotel. The front desk kindly upgraded us to a connecting city-view family room. The breakfast was definitely good and we enjoyed it a lot. All the hotel services were excellent.
This nearly century-old building is a masterpiece by the British Jewish entrepreneur Victor Sassoon. Renamed the Peace Hotel in 1956, it largely retains its original charm. They offer two daily hotel history tours (free for guests, at 10 AM and 2 PM) if you want to delve deeper into its past. In the evenings, you can enjoy a performance by the famous Old Jazz Band at the Jazz Bar starting at 7 PM.
I chose the Peace Hotel for its history, prestige, location, and the vibrant Bund area. I was truly impressed by the meticulous service and attention to detail after checking in. This is what I consider a true five-star experience, far surpassing any Marriott property. From the quality of the breakfast and the training of the staff, to the turndown service, the placement of the bottled water, and the...

The hotel is beautiful and the service is good. The price was higher than expected, but overall it was a decent stay. The only drawback is that the surrounding amenities are incomplete; you have to walk quite a distance to find dining options beyond high-end clubs.
We chose this castle-style hotel for our anniversary. It looked grand and comfortable even on the platform. After booking, I specifically asked the hotel to help decorate the room. Although it was simple and rustic, it still created a lovely ambiance. The complimentary tiramisu cake was especially delicious, and we also received fruit. The breakfast restaurant was also very impressive, and the cheese...
Attended an exhibition, and it was quite good. The room was large and comfortable, and the location was convenient for taxis. The staff were enthusiastic, and the hotel facilities were relatively comprehensive.
The breakfast was plentiful and the room was comfortable. Even though the hotel is a bit old, it's very well maintained. A special shout-out to the housekeeping staff on the 12th floor for their warm and patient service! I'll definitely be back next month.
I brought my parents here for a change of scenery during the May Day holiday. The hotel is right next to a residential area, and I really liked that the room was quite spacious and even had a balcony! You need to confirm with the staff if you want to open the balcony door. The decor features a lot of marble, which must have been quite luxurious back in the day, but it definitely shows its age now....
The hotel is impressive, and the front desk staff, Xiao Qi, provided excellent service. She was very welcoming and helped me with a late check-out. I'll definitely choose InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland again if I come back to Shanghai!

This is my second stay at this hotel. The environment is beautiful and the service is excellent. The seafood buffet on Friday night had fresh and abundant ingredients, and breakfast was also delicious. We even saw a beautiful fireworks display on Saturday night.
What stood out most was the hotel's service; from the cleanliness to the staff, everything felt very thoughtful. A special thank you to the front desk gentleman who kindly upgraded us to a balcony room with an expansive lake view. The room amenities were all new, and the hygiene was excellent. We also appreciated the six complimentary bottles of mineral water. The beds were larger than those typically...
I'd known about this place for a while but never got around to visiting. Yesterday, I happened to be at Shanghai Fish, so I decided to book a stay here. The environment is quite nice, and the buffet was decent – not a huge selection, but everything was well-presented. The hotel room was very clean and quiet, and every staff member was fantastic.
JW Marriott Hotel Oriental Beauty Valley in Fengxian is truly a masterpiece, and I've been coming back for two years in a row. I feel like there's been an improvement this year compared to last year. Had a staycation with my son. The hotel environment is quite good, and we got an upgraded lake view room, which was very comfortable. The only thing is that the room isn't very spacious. We booked a package that included a buffet dinner, and the food was decent. Next time, I'll try another Marriott.
My family really likes the Marriott brand. The hotel's style, overall layout, and the aroma in the public areas are indeed to our liking. Good location, with a great view of the city towers and Huang Pu river
Visited Shanghai for office work and our local colleagues booked us in this hotel. Although its pretty old property, but managed extremely well. The location is on the Bund and its the biggest plus point for this hotel. Rooms are big, well maintained. Very good buffet spread.. not much suitable for Indians as we like spices and salt in our every food and its missing in original Chinese food. However...
Located in a great neighborhood that's both touristic and serene, we were upgraded to a suite upon arrival. The room is spacious and part of a historical building, which gives it an old-world charm. However, it is well-maintained and clean. As fans of antiques and vintage vibes, we found this place perfect. The breakfast room offers a stunning view of the bridge, creek, and river.
The famous building of old Shanghai is in a prime location, the new buildings adjacent to it are highlighted, and the Shanghai building is a bit old and dated.
Historical hotel that restrain some old China charm. I only had dinner and the restoration is very good. They serve Weiyang food. The rooms had good view down the Bund and across to the opposing financial district

This is our go-to hotel every Chinese New Year. It's grand and clean, with a huge swimming pool. The rooms are spacious, come with a bathtub, and offer a great sunset view. My parents said the dinner buffet was quite good. And the complimentary coasters are absolutely beautiful!
The hotel is not close to the main city area however there are shopping malls nearby so it's very convenient. Room design is unique compared to other classic hotels.
Nice spaceous hotel room convient access to shopping mall
Pretty good! I was really happy with the hotel's facilities and decor. Plus, there are tons of great food options nearby.

Excellent! This classic hotel really delivers on service. I had a garden view room, which was clean and tidy, and the walk-in closet and vanity room were super convenient. The Western restaurant was very upscale and offered a truly authentic Western dining experience.
Terrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of...
If you're torn between hotels like Shanghai Centre J, Amanyangyun, Bulgari, and The Peninsula for your trip, I have to say The Peninsula's service is comparatively subpar among them. No one will ask you how you'd like your breakfast or if you'd prefer it in your room; they won't even bring it up. I even asked the front desk to temporarily store my takeout, and it was refused, with them telling me to...

When I arrived that evening, the front desk staff didn't smile or greet me at all. They didn't say a word when checking my ID, just handed me a paper without explaining what it was for. I looked at it and asked if it was for signature, and they just replied 'yes'. I then asked if I should sign here, and again, just 'yes'. It was like pulling teeth; they wouldn't say anything unless I specifically asked...
An average experience. The hotel was hard to find, and the decor was a bit peculiar. It wasn't cleaned thoroughly, so the hygiene was just barely acceptable. Plus, the delivery service was unreliable; my order was taken by someone else, and there was no one to manage it or a robot to deliver it. It felt like an unmanaged place overall.

Shanghai, No 100 Century Avenue Pudong (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Called before check-in to confirm my arrival time. There was a bit of a wait when I got there, but the front desk agent upgraded my room. The room was quiet, clean, and well-insulated. The scent in the hallway was very pleasant. The housekeeping staff did an incredibly thorough job cleaning. Because of the high floor and temperature difference, the window would rattle at night. After mentioning this...
Honestly, it doesn't really matter! I've stayed at your Park Hyatt Shanghai and other great hotels in Shanghai! Usually, the prices are pretty similar during the off-season! The next day, because I had such a delicious breakfast and afternoon tea! I'll definitely wake up for your breakfast whenever I can! And your room has an unobstructed view of the Bund, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and all the beautiful...
Super spacious. Great washroom with both bathtub and shower. Lounging on the chaise enjoying the view was super comfy. We didn't need it, but there was a ton of storage space and even a jewellery box.
I will note this is an older hotel, so some of the interior shows wear or outdated tech. There was a plug in one of the washroom sinks that wasn't working, which someone had removed and set aside on...
Our stay at Park Hyatt Shanghai was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and genuine friendliness, making us feel completely at home. Every interaction reflected care and professionalism, enhancing the overall experience.
The hotel itself is stunning—elegantly designed, serene, and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious and luxurious, with breathtaking...
Excellent stay - we checked into the J hotel across the road, and checked out immediately due to poor condition of room. Park Hyatt to the rescue, faultless stay and a class above J Hotel.
The environment was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly attentive from check-in to check-out. The in-room facilities were also well-maintained. The only downside was the bad weather during my stay, so I didn't get to enjoy any of the views.

Shanghai, 12 Hengshan Road (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
My stay at this hotel on Hengshan Road was a really good experience. The staff at both the front desk and the restaurant were incredibly proactive, warm, and friendly, making me feel very welcome. The bedding in the bedroom was excellent and comfortable, and the room itself was spacious. The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to Metro Line 1. There are also many popular photo-op spots nearby...
Conveniently located with the subway right outside, it's just one stop to Xujiahui. My kids really love the large bathtub here, which is why we stayed again. A big thanks to the front desk for the free upgrade to a balcony room! 😊😊
Whenever I visit Shanghai, I've only stayed here for the past three years. The facilities are a bit dated, but the hotel has this charming vibe reminiscent of an economic boom era. It's quiet, convenient, and the service is just right – everything is exactly as I'd expect.
The hotel was fantastic! The rooms were spotless, and the service was excellent. The pool was also a great bonus. The location is incredibly convenient, right next to a subway station. It's also a short walk to Wukang Building, and the ground floor of that area is full of old, charming houses.
Clean, quiet, great service, and a good breakfast. The surrounding area is also convenient for a stroll.
Visited Hualuxe Hengshan Road on a friend's recommendation. The hotel's style perfectly blends with the historical Hengfu district, offering a tranquil ambiance amidst the hustle and bustle. The public areas are adorned with a rich collection of unique and artistic exhibits. The rooms are comfortable, and there's a wide variety of dining options. With hotels in Shanghai's city center becoming increasingly...
