Complimentary sleep aid amenity & seasonal fruit were a nice touch.
Facilities: The decor is a bit dated, but it's still quite comfortable. A pleasant surprise was that the room had three beds, so we could all sleep without disturbing each other. The room itself was also quite spacious.

Facilities: The facilities are excellent, and the sunset over Dianchi Lake from a high vantage point is absolutely beautiful.
Complimentary Sleep Aid & Seasonal Fruits: The complimentary fruits and yogurt were fresh and delicious.

Cleanliness: Great. It's really suitable for a weekend getaway with friends to have a good time! I definitely recommend it. The experience was excellent, and now I have another great spot for weekend fun! ✌️✌️

Everything about this place is excellent! This was my second time staying here, and it didn't disappoint. The little welcome gift was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and the room was spotless. It's definitely worth choosing, and I'll be back again. If you're coming to Dounan, this is the place to stay.

The meal was quite enjoyable, and we noticed a lovely floral scent afterwards. The front desk staff were very thoughtful; seeing we had children, they kindly provided extra meal vouchers. While the room amenities were a bit dated, everything was impeccably clean and tidy. The hotel's location is excellent, being very close to Dounan Flower Market. They also went the extra mile by providing thoughtful amenities such as steam eye masks, earplugs, and some small snacks; these little touches were much appreciated.
However, I believe the front desk staff could benefit from further training. While their service attitude was generally polite and not an issue, my experience when asking for four bottles of water was a bit perplexing. The staff member questioned why I needed so many and what for, which felt rather intrusive 😓. To add to this, she also mentioned that she couldn't directly coordinate with housekeeping to fulfill the request 😓. Breakfast, unfortunately, was quite average.

Everything else was satisfactory. However, during breakfast, I was still eating when a waitress, wearing glasses, approached me and asked if I was finished and if she should clear the dishes. My wife had already finished and returned to our room, so my intention was for her to clear my wife's place setting across from me. Instead, she came over and picked up my chopsticks, which were resting on my bowl. I informed her that these were my personal chopsticks and that I hadn't finished eating. She then proceeded to place my chopsticks directly onto the table, which was noticeably dirty from previous guests and hadn't been wiped clean. This made it impossible for me to continue eating, so I had no choice but to leave. Her actions completely ruined my mood. She truly showed no situational awareness. I was clearly still eating; how could she not see that? Poor service. This is a genuine review from a Ctrip Diamond VIP and review expert.

This is an established hotel. While the facilities might not be the most modern, it truly excels in cleanliness and attentive service. The location is perfect; it's incredibly convenient for visiting Dounan Flower Market, yet remains quiet, and it's not too far from Dianchi Lake. It offers fantastic value for money – you can spend the day exploring Dianchi Lake, then return to browse Dounan Flower Market, making a stay at Xinsheng truly worthwhile. The breakfast was also excellent and plentiful, available from 6:30 AM. We originally booked breakfast for two (for two adults and two children), but the hotel generously provided us with four meal vouchers, which was a wonderful gesture and highly appreciated. They also included two sets of steam eye masks and noise-cancelling earplugs, plus two yogurts and two bananas. This level of thoughtfulness truly impressed us.

I stayed in six hotels during my ten-day trip to Yunnan, and while this wasn't the most luxurious, it was certainly the most enjoyable. A friend in our group was traveling with two children, and the younger one had just crossed the 1.2-meter height threshold. This was the only hotel that proactively offered an additional breakfast voucher for them. The fact that they also provide halal breakfast was an incredibly thoughtful touch. It's conveniently located very close to Dounan Flower Market; you can even see it from the room, and it's just a few minutes' walk away. If I ever return to Kunming, this will definitely be my top choice.
