Milea Hotel in Ayia Napa

The location is great, and the staff is friendly. However, we had mold in the bathroom. They sent someone to remove it, but there was so much mold that it still smelled like mold. When the window was closed and the air conditioning was off, the smell was really bad.

This is a good little hotel in a great town centre location. The rooms were nice enough and of adequate size, ( you would not want more than 2 in a standard room), however they needed the odd bit of repair (shelf in cupboard fell down once clothes were on it and mould in the shower) Beds were ok, pillows a bit lumpy. Shower was powerful enough and plenty of hot water, but only on an evening, however the shower did spray out and caused quite a puddle on the floor, had to mop it up with floor and hand towels. The air conditioning was lovely and cold. The pool didn’t open until 10am and was clean, it didn’t seem to get massively busy. It’s the first holiday I have been able to lie in and not have to rush down to reserve a sun bed. The down side was the noise on an evening in the rooms and corridors, there are obviously a lot of young guests in Ayia Napa for a good time. The corridors echo and you can hear every noise, screaming, music with the beat banging from other rooms, and shouting at each other until all hours. If you can bring some ear plugs and can tolerate this then it’s a good hotel. Oh and the fire alarm went off 3 times in the week we were there. We weren’t being picked up until 7pm but checkout is 11am, you can’t pre pay for a later checkout, you need to go and see reception on the morning you are due to leave. I was informed the hotel was full but they would let us stay until 1:30pm for free, which was nice of them to do. The staff were very nice and helpful.
