This was our third stay at Tolip Alexandria, and while the last two visits were amazing, this one was a major disappointment. I originally wrote a glowing review after our earlier stays, but unfortunately, I’ve had to edit it based on this recent experience.

First, the toilet in our room had a strong sewerage smell, which was very unpleasant. Then, in the middle of the night, the air conditioning began leaking, soaking the floor and creating a serious slipping hazard. We had no choice but to pack up and move to another room in the early hours of the morning.

In the afternoon, after returning from the pool and showering, we realized no towels had been provided. I had to go find the housekeeper, who explained that the towels weren’t ready but eventually brought them to us.

Additionally, when the room was cleaned, empty cups for tea and coffee were not provided. I requested them, but after waiting 40 minutes, I tried using the in-room button for housekeeping, and, to my surprise, a guest answered. I then called reception, and while the receptionist assured me the cups would be sent, it took over half an hour for them to arrive.

The level of service has drastically declined compared to our previous stays, and this experience didn’t come close to the standard we were expecting. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Very old hotel, needs a lot of refreshments but the employees are really making a difference.
The biggest problem is the top floor dining room for breakfast with only 5 elevators.
Rooms are not bad and bathrooms need renovation.

Rooms are well designed but need maintenance.
Food is very good in fact and they have many varieties. Location is very good as it’s almost in the middle of Alex . The sea view rooms are very beautiful. A bit expensive though.
