Reviews
We got treated like royalty on our birthdays so highly recommend this place if you have a birthday during the trip. Lots of little details and friendly interactions from staff was really noticeable.
The food was great all week and kudos to the chap running the A La Carte restaurants - those were great. Especially the Teppanyaki experience which my 4yo still thinks was magic.
The slides are great and the kids pools are heated (which was a welcome surprise as a little cold to swim otherwise). There's a little gift shop at the back by the pools worth a visit - reasonable prices and the shop keeper used to be a tour guide so knows a lot of Egyptian history.
If coming as a family, upgrading to the family room is worth it. We did and the extra space was good to have for 9 days.
5* experience for 4* price 😀
Greetings from the Netherlands.
I returned home a week ago, and I still have red bumps on my body. Please improve the cleanliness and hygiene standards.
The floors are so slippery it’s a health a safety concern especially with people coming in and out of the pools the tiles are not safe. Make sure you check children height for the aqua park my daughter was just under 120cm and couldn’t go on any huge disappointed as that’s the reason we booked it.
I do want to point out the staff that did make our stay good because they are the ones keeping the hotel alive. Ahmed from the kids bar always coming over having conversations with us and being so friendly we really loved him and Ammar from the pool bar he always made sure we was relaxed and brought our drinks whenever we wanted one.
The kids animation team you can quite clearly see don’t want to be there and they show no interest in the kids and they look bored.
The food and drinks are good and hotel is very clean and housekeeping is amazing!
If you’re looking for a good hotel I would highly recommend El Karma they go above and beyond.
People in the hotel were very friendly and doing a great amount of effect to give you a good time.
Location was great. A bit far of from the center of hurghada, but the beach was fine.
The slides aren't open all the time but they were fun for the kids.
The food was excellent! I've read reviews about people getting sick, but we had a great week without any problems! The amount of dessert to choose from is crazy.
The buffet is great and a large variaty of good tastefull food.
The swimmingpools are nice, there is lifeguards everywhere who are very strict. This helps a lot keeping the fun in the water with that much people, so great job there.
I would say, money well spend when booking this resort, it didn't dissapoint at all.
Maybe the prices of the SPA, in the Netherlands I can even go cheaper. But hey, that is your personal choice.
And I would recommend the hotel to come up with a system removing food waste. 90kg of food is thrown away every day. Maybe charge a plate which is not empty with a small amount. Only take what you can eat.
And a lot plastic can maybe removed by paper cups or something.
Details, but I can not complain, had a great time here and maybe we'll be back some day!
Super friendly staff. Clean room , fantastic shower.
Some areas where a little tired, especially around aqua park areas.
The lady making bread was definitely a highlight, so delicious too.
Food was good too.
Absolutely brilliant for kids.
The rooms were spotless and well maintained, which made our stay even more comfortable. The food was delicious — always fresh, with plenty of choice at every meal. There was something for everyone, and everything we tried was excellent.
Overall, we had a really wonderful holiday and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic break!
The only reason not for a five star is room had some repairs that seemed kinda half worked, and if you book a pool side in the winter months ask for the pool side heated pool. Not all pools are heated and felt like an ice bath, but by the heated pool the staff were helpful at finding a space and chair to relax.
I'd suggest having a room at ground level as the water pressure in our 2nd floor room was pretty lousy, but enough to have a hot shower at the end of a gruelling day in the sun! We used a ground floor room to freshen up and change prior to taxi to the airport. Water pressure was much better. Just ask at reception for a temporary room, as it's really handy to be clean and in UK clothes when you leave!
We had issues with some very aggressive males who tried to break into our room at 2 in the morning. It took almost an hour and my husband yelling "wrong room" a couple of times, for them to get the message and take their shouting outside. Security were made aware but didnt sort it quickly enough. We fed back to management, so hopefully if this situation happens to anyone else, they will be sorted out quickly.
Food is great - lots of variety & several extra restaurants you need to book in advance. Chinese & Indian very good.
Being off season, there is no issue finding somewhere to relax and staff are very attentive & remember you from one day to the next. The atmosphere is relaxed and happy and kids are well catered for.
First impressions- hotel looked very nice and was impressed with waterpark onsite. Rooms were nice and spacious although I feel could do with a deeper clean. There were dirty areas within the room from prior to our arrival. We notice the beds get made but the floors were not cleaned unless asked.
The lifeguards and most of the restaurant staff were approachable and polite. The bar staff and some members of staff across the hotel came across ignorant and rude, unless money was being tipped. Ome of the managers ( didnt remember his name but he had light green eyes) was so helpful and polite.
The water slides and kids pools are amazing! Something for ALL ages and never a queue!
The choice of food I thought was good and we were a family of 2 adults 3 kids ages 13, 10 & 7.
The entertainment team is feel could be a little bit more enthusiastic. Sometimes some of them looked like they didnt want to be there. But some of them was always full of energy. The entertainment as a whole I felt could improve hugely it wasnt great and didnt last long.
The drinks are not great alcohol wise. But cokes, fanta and juices, coffes plus bottled water good.
We really enjoyed the new years eve gala party!
We did get ill but we couldn't say if that was from the hotel or the outside excursions we done. Its 50/50 its going to happen in egypt.
I would recommend this hotel.
The sister hotel across the road has access to the beach which you can get a free shuttle bus too amd do some snorkeling.
