I initially left a lower review due to a spa experience, but I've since learned the spa is operated by a separate company and is being replaced in the coming weeks. That's not the hotel's fault, and they shouldn't carry that score.
The food was delicious — genuinely better than what I've had at large resorts in Greece or elsewhere. When Chef Mahmoud learned about my celiac disease, he took special care to make sure I was looked after. That kind of attention matters and it doesn't happen at most places. Mahmoud and the front kitchen staff, the room cleaners, the gardeners — the staff as a whole were friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. There's a warmth here in how the team treats people, accommodating and respectful, even when some guests don't return the favor.
At the end of the day, a resort is its people. The rest is just a building and upsell services, and those shouldn't carry the same weight as the team that actually makes your stay what it is. It's a big operation and nothing runs perfectly every moment, but the dedication here is real.

We rested at the Old Palace Resort in Sahl Hasheesh - in general we were very satisfied. The hotel is located right on the first line, the beach is large, sandy, with a beautiful sunset into the sea.
The animation is active and fun. During the day they hold games on the beach, water aerobics, dances, competitions. The animators are friendly, approachable, invite you to participate, but do not force you. In the evening there are shows, performances and a disco. If you want to have fun - it will be interesting. If you want silence - you can just relax away

Great experience overall! The hotel’s location is amazing — everything you need is just a short walk away. It made exploring the area very easy and stress-free.
What truly stood out was the service. The team was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They genuinely care about guests and go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed my vacation. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent throughout my stay. The food was delicious with a good variety of options, and the facilities were clean and well maintained.
A very special thank you goes to the animation team – they were absolutely amazing! Their energy, positivity, and professionalism made my holiday unforgettable. They created such a fun and engaging atmosphere every day, whether it was sports activities, games, or evening shows. They were always smiling and motivating guests to join, but never being pushy. You could really see how much they love what they do. They are a huge asset to this hotel and made my experience truly special.
The only small downside was the bathroom in my room. It felt a bit outdated and could use some renovation. However, it was clean and fully functional, so it did not significantly affect my stay.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel – especially because of the incredible animation team. I would happily come back again!

The hotel is located in Sahl Hasheesh. Its advantages include fairly spacious beaches and a lack of crowding like hotels in Hurghada. The hotel itself is quite comfortable, and the food is decent, though not particularly varied in my opinion.

It was a truly wonderful experience. All the hotel staff were incredibly respectful and went above and beyond to cater to every need. The beach was beautiful, as was the swimming pool. The entire entertainment/animation team, along with the beach staff Ahmed Gamal and Moamen Essam, were exceptionally helpful to all guests. Karam, the room attendant, and Chef Ahmed, whose shakshuka at breakfast was delicious, also deserve a special mention. The reception team, including Mr. Mohamed and Wael, and indeed all staff, were genuinely very polite. I sincerely hope to repeat this experience again.

This hotel is very bad. I think it is very old and run-down. It is superficially nice to Chinese people. You have to ask them to get something for a long time and they have to brag about it. The service to white people is quite good. You can choose not to stay there, but try not to. It is very old. The environment is quite good. The food is super rubbish. We are all-inclusive.
