Reviews
Sadly, my rating is so low because of the person who was on the front desk for this season (June 2026).
We kindly asked her from the start to change the room she gave us, since it was located right at the lobby. We could hear every single conversation, step and noise as if we were actually just sitting at the lobby.
After a long time debating with this woman, she finally managed to stop gaslighting us and agreed to change us to a more quiet room.
This is a Spa Hotel, needless to say we needed our peace and deserved to be treated with respect, as any other customer.
We did not need to hear about how noisy her latest booking in another hotel was, neither to be told that "if we would have paid more" we would have gotten a choice which could have been more quiet.
Sadly, other friends also booked this hotel along with us. When one of them tried to give feedback, this woman responded with a "we know about the problems in your room, but we don't have the time to fix it, about everything else, no one has every complained".
We were initially given a room directly next to the entrance and reception desk. As I was concerned about potential noise, I specifically asked the receptionist whether this might be an issue. I was assured that the room was quiet, but unfortunately that was not the case.
From inside the room, conversations at the front desk were clearly audible. After about 30 minutes, we requested a different room and, following approximately 15 minutes of discussion, were eventually moved. I appreciate that the hotel was nearly fully booked and that we were fortunate another room was available. However, given the obvious noise issue, there was little reason for the discussion to take so long.
Apart from that, the rooms are very small, dated, and generally not in particularly good condition. The overall impression was more reminiscent of a roadside motel from the late 1990s than a hotel at this price point.
The pool is adequate, and the spa/sauna area is pleasant. However, cleanliness and maintenance could be improved. For example, I found a dried-up apple core underneath one of the sun loungers in the outdoor area.
Breakfast offers a good selection, the quality is solid, and the morning staff provide friendly and efficient service.
Location is very good.
I might recommend this hotel to budget-conscious travellers. The problem is that it is not actually a budget hotel. Given the room quality, condition of the facilities, and overall experience, I cannot rate it higher than 2 stars.
Rooms are nice, quit spacious with traditional furniture.
First, the breakfast, service/staff and pool/sauna are great. The quality and variety of the breakfast options were pretty amazing. It also had a fairly homey feel to it (in a good way). All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room left a bit to be desired though in the form of a number of little things. The recently redone (?) carpet produced a strong “new carpet” smell, the towel warmer didn’t work (user error?) and the shower could use a deep clean. Nothing was uncomfortable and we didn’t spend that much time in the room, but the little touches matter.
