Underground parking beneath the hotel was super convenient and they allowed us to leave the car past checkout so we didn’t have to hurry to get back from a last tour of the old city! We stayed at the Explorer for a total of 3 nights before and after our hiking tour in the region and had a great stay. Staff was accommodating and helpful, utilities including sauna clean and new, and breakfast a highlight. With it‘s close proximity to the hiking and climbing trails as well as the lake, I have nothing but great things to say about the Explorer Berchtesgaden

Excellent concept for a hotel catering to adventure travelers. Room was basic but was clean, bright and open with plenty of storage and charging. Sauna facilities for a room at this cost was amazing. Breakfast was also great, egg station was fun, and once again uniquely catered towards adventure travelers. Bus stop is just outside, and lake is a short walk away.

Only 1 block from the metro station! And just 5 blocks from the historic center. The rooms are excellent—very beautiful, spacious, and spotless. I highly recommend booking with breakfast included; the buffet is incredibly extensive, and for the price they charge, it's an absolute deal.

Located right next to a Ubahn station. I stayed here with my family and it was a beautiful experience. They have all the necessary items present in the apartment. Grocery shops are about 2 mins away. Staff were also friendly.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The location was good and convenient for walking to many things in the town. If you look for atmosphere, quiet and location where you leave the place to walk, hike or jog (in essence for something different), look no further. And then, there is the library! The perfect hang-out to unwind. It is not what you are used from your standard North American hotel chain. Rooms are very clean, breakfast buffet is great. They were quiet flexible with us, allowing the friend to share a spot at the table for breakfast even though he was not a hotel guest( he paid for his breakfast of course 16 euro). Great hotel near the thermal baths (a comfortable 15 minute walk) in a very quiet location on the edge of Erding. Breakfast buffet was very good and far more than sufficient. What should be highlighted is the very friendly and courteous staff. Great carpenter and very clean. We recommend.

We were a family of 9 with 4 rooms. One room was very small, two were ok, and the fourth was lovely. No elevator. No AC, but nights were cool with windows open.

In general, a big private room, clean, and for the price is very nice. Nothing fancy, but everything is working. It's in a very quiet neighborhood and there's no shops around at all. Accessible by a underground train (last stop, then walk for 15 mins). Close to the airport, but if you want to use public transportation, you still have to go to the city centre first.

Access by car is required, but the quality is sufficient for a low cost stay. Check-in time was 21:00 and it was past 22:00, but they made arrangements for me to receive the key. The only problem I had was that they couldn't speak English when I contacted them over the phone.

The hotel is very easy to find, located a short drive from Berchtesgaden, and has ample free parking available. The staff speak good English and are very welcoming. The rooms are huge, very comfortable and quiet and we had a lovely view of the mountains and valley. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we stayed however we found a very popular pizzeria a short drive away.

Beautiful property, wonderful food, and a kind staff. Be careful to ask for a room with a view. Our first room was in an attic with no view. For an upgrade fee, they were able to give us the amazing view we wanted in a different room.

The owner and staff of this hotel were incredibly kind. They have a small bar where you can get a beer and charge to your room, an elevator, and and probably the most comfortable beds we’d had our entire trip throughout germany. Perfect location that was a little over 1 km to Oktoberfest grounds, and only 3-5 minutes walk to the closest tram pick-up. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We found this hotel in 2016 and have stayed three times since then. We have stayed here each time we have visited Munich. The rooms may be smaller than most Americans are used to, but the ambiance, the service, the location, and, yes, the amazing breakfast put this place in a class by itself.
