This hotel offers direct subway access, is close to the city center, and the S8 line from the airport goes straight to the hotel. It's convenient for both dining and shopping.

The hotel itself isn't in the busiest part of town, but there are some small restaurants and bars nearby. The metro station and a supermarket are right downstairs, which makes getting around, shopping, and general living really convenient. The price is also quite affordable.

I've stayed at Holiday Inn hotels before in Germany, Poland, and China, and always had a good impression. But this time, it was an absolute low point.
1. **Terrible Service:** It was snowing, and as we brushed the snow off ourselves before entering the hotel, the front desk girl had a completely unprofessional attitude. She even assigned us the furthest room, 300, which anyone familiar with that hotel knows is at the very end where two wings connect. We had two heavy suitcases and had to walk a long way. After finally finding the room, we requested a change and were then given a room near the elevator.
2. **Terrible Food:** For such a large hotel, there were only two food islands for meals, and the main problem was that nearly 80% of the food on both islands was duplicated. There were very few edible options, and everything was cold. Over our four-night stay, I had stomach pains immediately after breakfast on two mornings. I even saw another Chinese guest look around the restaurant and then leave. There was only one milk and coffee machine, leading to a huge queue in the mornings. Even in Barcelona, a much smaller hotel had two machines, and their breakfast was incredibly rich.
3. **Other Amenities:** We couldn't even get drinking water; they told us to drink tap water. This was never an issue in our hotels in Paris or Barcelona. When we returned to Paris, we booked the same hotel as before, and they offered complimentary hot water, coffee, milk, and various other drinks all day long.

Location is central to Munich City. The hotel is attached to a shopping arcade and train station, which is super convenient. Staff are friendly and responsive. The room was quite small, and the bed could be more comfortable. Otherwise a good stay overall

Hotel staff opened our door twice in the morning at around 8am well before check out timing for no reason. Hotel also did not provide water and we had to buy a bottle of water from th store in the lobby for 4euros????

I had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Munich! The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the city center, so it was perfect for sightseeing and exploring. There are plenty of great, good-value food options just around the corner, which made dining easy and enjoyable.
The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Another big plus was how close it is to public transport. It made getting around Munich super convenient.
Overall, great value for money and highly recommended if you’re visiting the city!

On your way back to the hotel, you will be passing by nice international food selection: viet, Italian, Indian and even two Afghani restaurants. Amd if you miss lne of course, you got your kebab shop!
The deal breaker for me, the welcoming deamor of the reception staff. A mixed bag, half were smiling and half is long faced. My advice if smiling and welcoming guests isnt for you, one must quit a customer facing job. And the lady that checked us in has refused to add my husband's holiday in loyalty number. Her reasoning, since you booked using a third party, one must not earn the point. Okay but actually another of her colleague is willing to add the details, just in case we spent something in the bar. Why is it points cant be earn... same concept like flights.. they aren't fussy abt you earning yoir miles. You are the same person at the end of the day.
Amenities: breakfast is sumptuous and varied selection although similar everyday. However reception here are way friendlier and jolly. Their gym is properly equipped. I am also delighted with their housekeeping, they do their daily rounds and the lobby is freshen up to. Compared to a marriot hotel which uses a robot, we're lobby edges are so filty. So kudos to the housekeeping team!

Everything was good except that my room's window is facing directly where the workers are moving cargo very early in the morning. It was quite loud when they are moving cargo.
The water from the shower head has some rust odour and the toilet has some moldy odor too.
