The front desk attendant presented us with a tablet where we had to enter ALL of our info AGAIN—address, name, email, credit card info , passport info, telephone , and much more. Everything we already supplied when we made the online booking. This took an unnecessary extra 10 minutes of our time when they could have just extracted this info...

I spent my quarantine period at the hotel. The room exceeded my expectations: it was very spacious and immaculately clean. Mr. Henry was very professional and friendly, assured me that if ever I needed anything to just let him know. Since I spent my quarantine there during Easter, I found a chocolate Easter bunny at the door, attached to a heartwarming message. Needless to say, my stay was excellent

The hotel is easy to find altough some other places nearby are neighbors i did not expect. Lots of strip clubs and so on to the harbour side. Anyway the direction of city side is nice and has lots of restaurants and shops. Check in was fast and friendly. The room size was ok, although i am used to sleep in bigger beds. You get what you pay though. The room and bathroom was very clean. All in all...

Late arrival was smooth. The hotel was very quiet, so much so that we didn't realize it was so full until we went down for breakfast the next morning. And breakfast was excellent.

Good hotel, modern and clean rooms. Overall good service (free Wi-Fi, TV, One bottle of water for free). Unfortunately we couldn't eat here so can't say much about that.

the location was not very good as it was a hidden building but it was a quiet neighborhood. cons: there is no air conditioning in the rooms and bees were gathering in the bathroom when the window opens (there were almost 7 of them). pros: breakfast was great and staff were nice and accommodating. perfect for one day stay

We chose a budget hotel. The price was low. The hotel is quiet, the staff is polite. Delicious hearty breakfasts, which were not included in the price, but the price justified itself. Delicious bread, cheeses, fresh coffee, juices, butter, eggs. Everything for a hearty breakfast. The rooms are small, but there is everything you need.

Hotel has everything what expected, location is also very good, quite close to city center which is accessible on foot. During our stay there was problem with towels, we had just one for 3 persons. I personally liked it, but there is a lot of room for improvement here as well. The room for improvement could be used creatively. There is quite a bit that can be improved immediately. Plants, especially more trees should be considered as a possibility.

Stayed there for a week, rooms were clean, only problem that I have faced with was language, they are not good at english, this was a bit problem for me. I could not understand how to enter to hostel, then I figured out using password allows you to get in.

The hotel is an old building, no lift, no luxury, everything really simple. The staff are great, they are polite and very helpfully. It was my son's birthday and they organized a small cake, candles and a small present, made my child happy. They have a good breakfast as well. The architecture/interior design will leave you staring with mouth wide open-not exactly in a positive way. The building is a cube and inside there is a mix of medieval style furniture, Asian style, modern style and simply everything over each other. Room was very clean and bathroom was big, but the bed was making so many noises it was difficult to fall and stay asleep. Staff was friendly.

The place, location, service, rooms, spa and generally the whole concept is just amazing. We are so glad to have chance to be the guests. Our dog was also very happy to be accepted and to be treated like a guest. Hotel offer dog beds, beautiful bowls and yummy dog treats. Dog beach is just a cross the road. This was our first time at Hotel Gutenberg. The room was cozy and very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and the service was excellent. Breakfast was beautifully presented, varied, and plentiful. Egg dishes were freshly prepared. We especially loved the location. We would love to come back again.

Stayed in a suite with balcony, the room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, quite large & well equipped with everything we needed. The location was great, 5 minutes walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants within 10 minutes. Reception was super friendly.

In 2015 I was on Sylt for the first time for a rehabilitation measure concerning my skin. At that time I fell in love with the island and later with the "Friesenhof". I have stayed there several times and have always felt very comfortable, no matter where I was staying. The special luxury that the Friesenhof has in store is the huge garden, "park" is actually more apt! It has become even more beautiful...

The standard studio is tastefully furnished and nothing was missing. Welcoming drinks and a basket with spices, tea and coffee capsules, so that first aid, e.g. for breakfast, was possible. This is an attractive old-style hotel with wide wooden staircase, high ceilings and grand seafront view. As you climb the stairs squeak in a low tone. We walked to our room through a sinuous corridor. It was quiet, beautifully furnished and the bathroom spacious. The swimming pool was empty, music was playing, water splashing against the walls. It is a very nice and cozy place with a family-like atmosphere, the rooms were on the smaller side but they had everything you need. The breakfast was fantastic there were some jams and a lot of kinds of bread.

Excellent service, nice room, healthy and plenty breakfast. Ideally situated. Smack in the middle of Altstadt, everything in walking distance. If you are by car as we were, make sure you reserve the parking well ahead. Be prepared to drive around the city, it takes a while to make it through the maze of one way streets.

The placement of the hotel is very good in the center of old town but close to the main bus road so a room away from the road fixes that. Otherwise fresh and clean rooms with plenty of space and big bathroom.

I can only rate this hotel 5*... my wife got sick after dinner in a sushi restaurant. Next morning we overslept and we were too late for breakfast. We were much surprised that they waited with the breakfast buffet for us! We really appreciate this service. Hotel itself is very clean and conveniently located close to the historical city center.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk outside Lübeck with limited parking outside. The bus station is no more than 3 minutes away. The family room was not spacious, but more than sufficient for one night. The bed was a bit on the soft side. The dining area was real cozy. This hotel is dog friendly.

A fantastic hotel (small but perfectly formed) with a wonderful hostess. Steffi Kuhlem truly strives to make every guest's vacation as pleasant as possible. A very cozy little hotel with beautiful rooms, a small pool with spring water, a sauna with a plunge pool, and a Kneipp footbath. A wonderfully varied breakfast buffet with homemade jams and delicious coffee. Egg dishes and Bircher muesli are freshly prepared upon request. The owners are always friendly, very helpful, and amiable. Mrs. Lukas always takes the time to chat with her guests.

We have now been to this hotel four times. If you have anything to complain about here, you really can't help. The stay in this hotel is always great. Reminded me of the atmosphere of hostels in my young days some 50 yrs ago..😁 a bit smelly in the corridor, no tv. The bedsheets etc. they handover at check-in because to be applied by yourself. The room was OK, quite old fashioned and a bit run down, but very clean. The room was really warm and without any possibilities to regulate it, only option was to open the windows. However, this meant a lot of noise as it lays right next to the street. There was no WiFi, and the Internet Access Point (one computer next to the entrance) was so slow it couldn't load any pictures.
