Check in was easy, easy access to rooms by elevator (though it could become crowded), nice room, nice facilities. Breakfast was fine, not a big selection, but it was fine. Location is superior! With very easy access to the main shopping area, lots or restaurant options, very close to several bus routes, and we had a nice view down to the public bath/water fountain.

The great thing about this hotel is its location, of course. Smack middle of the city, close to the ships and right next to the casino. Couldn't be better. Rooms are quite nice too with AC. What I didn't like was the reception. Checking in took ages and the service was overall quite slow. Garage is super tiny, so beware of that. I would still return, however, as the upsides outweigh the downsides.

As soon as we arrived, our child noticed a small bug on his pillow. Unfortunately, we didn't realize immediately it was a louse, but thought it was a harmless insect. Loved it overall. Squeaky clean rooms (and hotel as a whole). Has elevator and wheelchair access. Great food in a restaurant. The only sore point would be tiny and outdated bathroom. Still, nice package overall.

We choose this hotel because of it's spa services and that it was directly on the beach. The reception area is light and modern. The staff are friendly but speak mainly German but do their best to speak English. The rooms are big enough and are clean and light. The beds are very comfortable. The spa facilities are very good and very welcoming after a long and cold walk on the beach.

Nice hotel - cleaning of room could improve The stay was fine. The room comfortable. The staff was nice. Breakfast was great. The only thing that put me off was the lack of cleaning of the floor in the room. In the room there was no carpet. And this is normally nice as this is easy to keep clean. However the floor was SO dirty, I don’t think it had been washed for 6 months.

The restaurant was very kind and accomodating as we arrived after closure and they still arranged dinner for us. We appreciate this greatly!

Rooms exactly as described, but the glass shielding of the the toilet/bathroom facilities are not “private” enough. A simple hotel next to the station. Tiny gym but they do have a small sauna. Ok breakfast but was very busy. It’s a 20 minute walk to the old town. No on-site parking but cheap parking behind the hotel. Friendly front desk. Small bed, large bathroom in my room.

Well pointed room, clean, spacious with high ceiling and sound proof windows. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. I’ll definitely stay here again next time in lubeck.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The standard rooms are fine and very clean. The lobby bar was cozy with a nice fireplace, quite areas with nice furniture and fair bar prices. The breakfast was excellent, and the half board dinner was delicious and fair priced. The wellness area was just perfect, small but with a good variety of saunas.

The staff is very friendly albeit sometimes a bit confused and not everyone speaks English. The facilities is however very nice with big rooms, cozy spa and a very nice lobby. We stayed over New Year’s Eve and was very happy during the stay. The spot gets one star less just because I half of the hotel has a view of the parking spot. Not the worse but it’s good to know when you are booking.

Great Experience I liked the place. They take their business really serious. A bit old fashioned and that makes the charm of this hotel. When I arrived on a late Sunday afternoon, the manager on duty insisted to personally show me around and to explain all the features of the hotel to me. I stayed for three days and had a great time. The restaurant is a bit pricey but offers excellent food.

As long as they allow smoking inside hotel (bar area), we will not come back.

Great traditional grand hotel with family service and a prime location!

We stayed in house no. 7 for a week. It was lovely; we lacked nothing. The apartment was very tastefully furnished, and our dog was allowed to come along. We'll be back.

Modern, casual and comfortable A very stylish, comfortable and modern facility. Friendly and direct service. However, the lack of air conditioning in the rooms may be bothersome on hot days.

Everything was very clean and tidy. The balcony was a bit lacking, for example, for drying laundry and, of course, for sitting. Otherwise, everything you need was there.

The bizarre use of Denglish as a language grates a bit... trying too hard to be cool. But that's the only niggle, everything else was fine. The rooms could do with more and better lighting, especially for those of us who have to work on holiday. Loved the free early bird coffee on the roof terrace each morning!

The apartment is on the 6th floor with a view of the south beach. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, and the bathroom and living/sleeping area are functionally furnished. The apartment is clean and well-maintained.

Great stay We booked a normal room for our family of three, but when we arrived we were given a family room with great condition and good size. The stay was only for one night, but we would love to come back. Very pleased overall!

The photos of the hotel and rooms on the hotel web site are very good. The service was not attentive, the were occupied with themselves more then with the guests. Breakfast mediocre. Rooms quite used up, small and not well furnished or thought through... Eg. The doors to the restrooms are just a glass door, the does not dampens anything... If you are OK with it... The service rather unfriendly..

We had a wonderful time at SAND in Timmendorfer Strand. It is a stylish and cozy hotel very close to the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food and drinks super delicious and the rooms nice and clean. We will definitely return to this place!

The property is just a short 5-10 min walk from the main tourist areas which offers such a lovely respite from the hustle and bustle. Surrounded by lots green and open space. We spent our holiday in Scharbeutz with 4 generations and everyone felt completely at home at Bayside. Nice stay, but check inn took way to long. Newby? Nice, stayed at many HD inn express can’t say the check inn was express took +10 min, but overall I was satisfied.

Experience was mostly positive, only negative was we had a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom on arrival, but when we brought this to the attention of the reception staff he was very apologetic and gave us a drinks voucher with the new towels. Bed was comfortable, but the room was a little too warm.

We came here for a week in late November, looking forward to a relaxing spa break. They insisted that the whirpool (hot tub) is supposed to be at max 30°c. So it was cold and unusable during our stay here. The pillows are uncomfortable - one of them is lumpy and the other is narrow and hard. Room was okay. Spacious. Beautiful location by the lake.
