This is a great hotel. The decor is very nice with well done details. Breakfast is great and I will be missing it when I go home. The library is very nice and a great place to relax and have a burbon or three. The view was very nice from the room. Heated floors in the restrooms.

Good food, helpful staff and fair pricing.

You can park underground at the hotel, there is also a hallway that connects the hotel (from the spa area) to the neighbouring Meetzeit sauna and you get in for free with your hotel key card.

Generally a good experience, but we found the bathroom not cleaned properly. The waist bin was not empty, full of waist. Soap dispenser area was not cleaned, the impression in this room was not satisfied. The main room was nice, with good views. Do not fall for an automatic upgrade!!! Check the room before you upgrade! Unless you are willing to walk around bend over, this Suite is not for you. The in room sauna was useless. Although the hotel was beautiful and very interesting, our suite had absolutely no space for our suitcases. We were on a three week Europe trip!

Spacious room, highly functional. Breakfast buffet comes with a great selection of food, even had a waffle machine which was quite cute. My only complaint is that there aren’t kettles in the room and they also didn’t have any to provide. Sauna and fitness rooms not as useful as I thought it would be. But otherwise a very pleasant stay!

For anyone seeking peace, quiet, and relaxation, this would be the perfect place. It's pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. We've been here twice now, and will be back again as soon as we can.

Friendly welcome, spacious rooms with plenty of storage space, delicious breakfast with many vegetarian options, great service, a bottle of ice-cold sparkling wine for our birthday, relaxed guests - we were totally happy.

We spent a really refreshing weekend with cozy room, excellent breakfast and a great Spa experience. Always worth the trip to SPO to stay at the StrandGut. Restaurant closes early, so make sure to reserve a table and arrive in time, as in the after season you won't find any other restaurant open after 9 p.m. in town.

A lovely hotel for a short trip! The room was large, very clean, and newly renovated. The free parking right outside is a definite plus! Unfortunately, there were no toothbrush cups in the bathroom, and the hotel soap had a very unpleasant smell. Breakfast was good, and the staff were exceptionally friendly!

Rummet rent o i gott skick. Var väldigt litet, fick inte plats med typ resväskor eller hänga kläder någonstans. Hade även 2 mellanstora hundar med oss. Så det blev väldigt trångt. Betalade mycket för hundarna, men de hade bara satt fram en hundskål!

Great breakfast buffet, lots of assortments. Nice large rooms with comfortable beds. Rooms in an annex 300 m from main building. Parking was almost full, quite sandy and partly muddy.

Highly recommended hotel The location is greit. A few 8 minutes walk to small restaurants and train station to Hamburg which is about 30 mins. Many available parking space outside the hotel in addition to the basement. Buffet breakfast is very okay. Rooms are still new and quiet. I did not like the soap container in the bathroom. Sometimes the door doesnt lock properly and you have to close the door with force. This makes a lot of noise. For parking an additional 9.90 per day is charged, as well as 50 euro for the parking card which will be refunded when the card is returned. Why cant this be added to the card for opening the room? Rooms not luxurious but they are clean and fine for the price. Can be warm in the summer because some rooms are up under the roof. The location is nice and the free parking is a big plus. When you book a hotel like this, do expect a bit of noise from the street - especially the police and ambulances which we heard a couple of times. The hotel is near the river, inside the room and bath room is clean, breakfast is good, hot food,bread, drinks, tea…, only problem if you open the window and near the street side, might not quiet in the night, police office is next door. Location is good, you could walk around or take cruise like I did, especially this season, very pleasant journey!

When we booked, we assumed that it was a family hotel, as the name suggests. The proximity to the neighboring clinic was a key factor for us. Stayed at Vitalia Seehotel for 3 nights with work. Location is nothing less than fantastic. Right on the bed of the lake... It gives a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in the largest building in Westerland. The hotel is very well located and easy to reach, even by train. Westerland's beach promenade is right outside the front door. The bathroom has a powerful hairdryer, and the shower water pressure is also one of the strongest I've ever experienced. The service is very good and friendly, as is the breakfast (see photo).
