We always eat at the Marienturm when we are in Rudolstadt. In my opinion, there is nothing comparable if you are looking for good food and excellent service. The mix of classic Thuringian dishes and varied alternative dishes is what makes it special. Small and manageable menu where everyone will find something.

Spending a few days in this idyllic setting was a real luxury! Fresh breakfast (everything to please the palate), breathtaking views, and the room really lacked nothing. I look back fondly on the time I spent in this hotel!

Great hotel but when it's 93 outside the AC in rooms don't work. We complained and hotel tried to remedy situation but others staying at hotel also told us their air-conditioning also didn't work in their hotel rooms. Hotel is beautiful and convenient to everything but hot inside lobby and throughout hotel making it very difficult to sleep there.

This hotel was conveniently located a 7 minute walk from the DB station at Jena West and a 1 minute walk to the street car station. It was also located at the central mall great for coffee and breakfast. I went to a Jena Basketball game this was super convenient!

Nice Italian Restaurant (Manager Agelo Antoniolli) with superior food and good wine sortiment. Better to reservate a table before visiting to be save. Next the restaurant you have a very good Hotel with Rooms with banion in the bathroom. And you look at the small see of Altenburg.

We stayed one night at the Lutherhotel Eisenacher Hof. Our room was large, clean and the beds comfortable. Wifi worked well and parking was easy and free in front of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. We ate dinner in the medieval themed restaurant. The atmosphere was excellent, however the food was so-so and the service was poor.

We booked like 10 double-bed rooms at the Hotel Ilmenauer Hof. So the reservation and cancellation of the room numbers were smooth as well as the check-in and check-out process. Great spot hidden in the German Countryside ! Hotel Herzog Georg is a real gem hidden in rural Germany. The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Great location for visiting the Christmas market, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking and breakfast were convenient, and the room with two bunk beds was surprisingly spacious. Nice a bit outside Erfurt. I've stayed here many times on business trips; can't complain! They even have a charger for EV cars, which is nice (costs I think €20 per charge, but was nice to have to charge my car overnight).

The hotel appeared to be fully booked. There weren't enough parking spaces, nor were there enough places for breakfast. This resulted in unnecessary waiting times. However, the staff were consistently friendly and tried to resolve the situation.

We had reserved a table at 7:30 p.m. Thirty minutes later, we received drinks and a welcome from the kitchen. The main course arrived around 8:30 p.m. and neither looked nor tasted as expected. The staff were obviously overwhelmed, too. I had aspic with fried potatoes that had been reheated at least five times, and everything was covered in tartar sauce.
