Where to stay in Germany

First time to stay in a 5 star hotel that doesn’t offer toiletries. You would think it’s Andaz and it’s supposed to be premium since we stayed with other Andaz before, but this one doesn’t have any toiletries like the basic suchnas lotion. I asked why and they said they are changing company. Still though they should have warned us during check in or at least have something in the room

Arrived home from a four night stay here with my mum, first time in Berlin visiting the Christmas markets. Hotel is great in a good location, staff seemed friendly and helpful. Breakfast was HUGE, so much variety's, spa was nice, maybe a little outdated. Nothing to fault here.

Not too far from Frankfurt Airport (about 5km by Uber). The room is cosy but not that well lit at night. Like many European cities, the hotel does not provide any personal sanitary items like toothbrushes and toothpaste or razors but you can buy them in the lobby via self checkout kiosk. The hotel provides a variety of foods for breakfast so definitely worth ordering.

Excellent value for money, but breakfast at €25 per person was excessive for a family, so we opted out. Parking at €25 per day was also unfortunately too expensive. The spa and pool are lovely, but we missed having a sauna infusion.

Nice hotel, a little outdated, but nothing to complain about. Clean and tidy. Absolutely useless reception staff, no greeting, no friendliness, not even any information on where breakfast was served. We booked the standard room and it was little small. But it clean and everything is working. Hotel is great but the ad in the app is awful since one thinks that the parking is included with the reservation (see screenshot) and only later one is informed that the parking has a price of HALF THE ROOM. This extra cost was not in our budget and will probably never use the app again since I feel robbed.

I just stayed the night to get a connecting train the next morning. Free shuttle bus available from.the airport to the hotel, but you have to pay €15 for the shuttle bus from the hotel back to the airport. Room was a decent size and clean. The restaurant was already closed when I arrived, but I could get a sandwich and cooldrink from a vending machine in the reception area.

An ideal place to stay during trade fairs in Leipzig. The Congress Centre (exhibition grounds) is within walking distance, yet the hotel itself is in a quiet location. The room is spacious and comfortable. It's a little far from Alexander Square, but you can get there in under 10 minutes by tram. We only booked a room, so I can't comment on the food. The staff is friendly and polite.

It's alright. It's close to a tram stop where you can transfer to a train or light rail. There are many supermarkets nearby, and it's about 2 kilometers from Alexanderplatz, so transportation is quite convenient. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the airport.

During my stay in Germany, I found Frankfurt to be the hardest place to book a hotel. Prices fluctuate wildly, and even during trade shows, prices can go up significantly. The king-size room at this hotel is quite large, but the decor and fixtures are a bit dated, and it's not ideal for light sleepers. Rooms on the roadside are noisy from traffic. The location is good, about a 1.5-kilometer walk to Maria Square, a 20-minute walk. The surrounding area is quiet. The rooms are small but very clean. I stayed for three nights and it was quite nice.

Calm hotel in calm area of Hannover. As vegan, I appreciate quite good vegan choices for breakfast! This is very unusual in Germany. Very unfriendly, very aloof. The hotel's decor is somewhat reminiscent of the GDR era. The beer from the vending machine could only be removed with considerable force.
