Stayed here for 10 nights with family in July. Cannot fault this hotel at all. The location is good, just across the road from lovely beach which you can cross easily by bridge. Road is busy at times but not too bad. Beach has lifeguard and is nice and clean. There is beach bar which is also nice. The hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms cleaned daily, pool area always clean, robot thing busy cleaning...

Staying at beach side of the road, facing the busy road. Avoid rooms facing the road if you don’t want your sleep to be disturbed by traffic noise. Rooms at this side are new and nice. Lunch area is very small and it can be difficult to find a table at lunchtime. Staff letting guests smoke during lunchtime and this is very annoying and disrespectful. This was our third time to the crete palm resort 4 star hotel. This hotel is by far a first class hotel. Everybody is so friendly & welcoming. All the house keeping are allways so happy & allways say kalimera in the morning. The hole place is absolutely spotless. The breakfast is so nice , with such a variety. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. I also visited Athens before Crete. I spent 8 days in total in Greece and absolutely loved it. Unlike other countries around the same region, I didn’t feel anybody was watching or pushing me for anything in Greece. They didn’t see me as $$$. They welcome me as a guest.

This is a lovely 3 star Apartment complex, some of it is quite old but they have built new apartments in the last 10 years too. We stayed in the newer apartments which were clean and comfortable. We paid extra for air conditioning which is a must in Crete, we also paid for a safety deposit box in the room. It was only a few Euros a night and the air on was 10 euros a night. Beautiful hotel in a great location. The old town just a short stroll away in one direction and the beach and promenade in the other direction. Hotel breakfast was great, All the staff were pleasant and polite and everything was spotless. My only complaint was the noisy air conditioning unit in our room, which sounded like a bubbling boiling kettle all night!

Location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk to both the beach and the old town. We had a family suite, which was spacious enough for 5 of us to sleep comfortably. Very friendly and helpful (for example they gave scales for luggage) staff, clean rooms, breakfast plentiful. Although with open windows a lot of noise seeps in from the street and the pool is small and shady. The beach and the old town are a few minutes walk away. Unfortunately parking is very difficult in the area.

First time staying at Golden Bay, but me and my partner could not be happier. Great location very close to beaches and Malia *****, but also in a quiet area, so you can properly rest!
