We stayed here in August as a family of four and absolutely loved it! The rooms were spotless and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The location was perfect — close to the beach and local restaurants. It was the ideal mix of relaxation and fun for both the kids and us. Highly recommend it for families!

First of all we were surprised that when we booked a supreme room the room was small and how we were on the ground floor. I will so the room was clean when we went in however, bed sheets were not washed when said they were going to be washed and neither did the towels. We traveled to Crete for a family holiday with no intention getting out of the hotel with a small child, not expecting to spend much and have all facilities and needs include food and some water activities. Literally the best hotel experience ever!!

The hotel is in a great location, 19 minutes from the airport. The room was OK. The bathroom was small for our family of four. The buffet restaurant was average, and the food was pretty much the same every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staying at the hotel for the second time we realized that is still a great hotel with some ups and downs. Ups: Service, location, pool, spacious room with kitchen and very friendly staff. Downs: The spa treatment are too expensive ( double the price of a regular treatment), coffee at breakfast is a disappointment and the beds are rather soft. Still worth going there but be aware of the downs.

Beautiful oasis in a searing hot day. The suite was just beautiful. Comfortable bed, fierce shower, huge fridge. The weather was particularly hot and so we stayed by the lovely pool. Luckily we were able to find something to eat at a local taverna, there are more places at the lower town so do check on opening before you go.

Location in a nice little town in the mountains, beautifully renovated historical building, cosy place as there are a limited number of suites, the suites are of excellent comfort and well maintained and they fully deliver what the description and the pictures promise, finally a sympathetic and efficient manager who makes sure everything runs smoothly.

This is a beautiful place. Our "room" was a huge suite, beautiful and comfortable. The people are very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are excellent. And the pool is a great relaxer. We had a lovely holiday here in a resort that is small enough to feel that you get to experience the real Greece. The water park keeps the kids happy and happy kids means happy parents! We recently just stayed at Matheo for a week in May and honestly we cannot fault it. On arrival they kindly upgraded our room to the suite and it was beautiful. Just returned home from a week on our honeymoon. We stayed in an Aqua marine suite with a sea view. Room was spotless, staff very friendly on arrival. But no recognition they we were staying for our honeymoon, even though our travel agent advised them beforehand. So a bit disappointed. Also we had asked for a sunny balcony. But no sun whatsoever. Food was ok, ice cream and drinks were local, not so good. The worst thing was that my engagement and wedding rings stolen from room. Of course my own fault that I did not put it to safety box, but not very reliable staff. The chief of hotel says that there is no thiefs and I have myself lose it somewhere.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in July. Lovely spacious rooms, great air con, fab shower, room cleaned every day to a high standard. Great pool area on the smaller side, but enough sunbeds, we would get a couple of beds when we came down for breakfast around 10 am.
