Pyrgos Blue in Malia

FABULOUS family run boutique hotel right on the beach, 10min walk to the center of Malia. We had an amazing suite with sea view and whirlpool on our private terrace, coffee machine & fridge, modern & stylish design, very comfy beds & pillows (which is rare!) and blackout curtains. PERFECT and we will definitely come back when visiting this beautiful corner of dream island Crete again 😍

Without doubt the best Hotel we have ever stayed at. From the location to the facilities everything was perfect. The owners Manos and Tula helped by their lovely children couldn’t do enough for us. The restaurant is the best place to have breakfast, amazing lunch options or a relaxed dinner. Perfect.

Perfectly located for us. Away from all the party places , yet still in walking distance if we wanted the night life and the huge selection of amazing restaurants. We had a constant view of the sea. There is a sandy swimming beach a few meters from the hotel. Beautiful clean swimming pool in the hotel area which faces the sea. Just perfect. Tula was amazing organising a taxi transfer for us to and from the airport. She was so helpful in recommending authentic Greek restaurants. The bar area at the hotel ended every night perfectly with a great selection of night cap drinks. Honestly I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to appreciate the beauty of Malia. We love our walking so everything was easily accessible by foot either along the beach or the back roads. If you choose to hire a car / bike or moped the hotel has ample parking.

A very good experience. Very quiet eventhough located a 5 minute walk from the party hotspot in malia. Very well maintained hotel, nice gardem and enough sunbeds arpund the pool. Our room with a little balcony with sea view was a bit smaler than hoped, but this was my mistake, the bigger rooms were already taken. The room itself has everything we needed - I might ad a curtain or a door to the shower. Personell was very friendly and helpful. Also our late check in due to late arrival worked perfectly. All in all, a wonderful experience. I would not hesitate to book again. Thanks!

Beautiful resort with nice amenities very clean and spacious rooms. Modern design. There is no beach access but it’s a short walk away.

Stayed in a Seaview suite with a jacuzzi for 4 nights. The suite was spacious and immaculately clean. Huge comfy bed. Particularly appreciated the mosquito screen. The hotel is directly on the beach, but it also has a good-sized swimming pool. A quality hotel! Very friendly staff!

Stayed here with a friend in June and absolutely loved it. The room was big, super clean, and had a private balcony with an amazing sea view—waves, stars, even a little chapel on an island. Total peace and privacy. We slept with the screen door open every night—no bugs, no AC needed: just the sound of the sea. The fridge was convenient, and in the pool bar drinks and meals are available. Staff was lovely, even served us a late meal when we arrived around midnight. Parking was easy, and it’s a great base for visiting spots like Sissi and the Minoan ruins. After exploring, we’d relax by the pool or garden—no loud music, just sea breeze. Malia’s restaurants are close by, and at walking distance. Just a small wish? A couple of hooks in the bathroom and a luggage stand would be handy. But that’s just nitpicking—this place is a gem.
