Bella Elena Apartments in Malia

Absolutely loved this hotel, room was basic, but clean, only paid 35 euros to stay a whole extra day as our flight wasn't untill 2am the next day. All the staff were happy, friendly. Will definitely come back

Clean, comfortable rooms with basic but adequate self catering facilities. A very nice pool area with plenty of padded sun beds and a choice of sun or shade. A bar with reasonably priced drinks and good food. Perfectly located to explore the old town’s traditional Tavernas but only a 10 minute walk to the craziness of ‘the strip’ if that’s what you want. Iro and Stavros lead a lovely team to look after all of your needs. It’s not often we go back to the same place twice but we’ve already booked for next year.

Lovely solo holiday. Would recommend to any solo traveller. I have stayed there before with my late husband and children however children grown up , husband passed away. Therefore, decided to go on my own. Staff were really helpful rooms cleaned every day. No issues with breakfast lovely food very tasty and well worth the €9 paid. Pitty you have to pay for the Wi-Fi in the room and the air-conditioning that did bump my spending money up a bit however, life is too short not to enjoy yourself as you can’t take the money with you. And that said I thoroughly enjoyed my 7 days. Would defo stay again. Also. No issues with loveholidays everything run smoothly a lot of

Hotel rooms were nicely equipped with everything You need on daily basis. Breakfast was tasty and well priced (just not really various). Quiet and peaceful location in the Old City of Malia area, yet there are a lot of the best restaurants near the hotel. Pool is clean and pretty big with sunbeds around it. One bad thing was just the fact You need to pay for everything(WI-FI in your hotel room, air conditioning etc.) but I assume is just a standard for Greeks. I would recommend to stay there, but You need to bring more cash with You If you wanna „live to the fullest” there :))

Bella Elena is just perfect! This was my second stay and it was the best holiday I've ever had. We stayed in one of the ground floor apartments, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel is in the gorgeous old town area of Malia, but you have everything you need nearby. The hotel seems to attract great guests, who return year after year. It's a great place to be. The food and drink prices are fair and of a very good quality. There are lots of snacks and ice creams available, you don't really need to leave the hotel if you don't want to! My favourite part of Bella Elena is the pool area, which is laid out perfectly. The pool itself is perfect, it's looked after extremely well and is very clean. The staff at the hotel make your time there even better. They are all so friendly and helpful, such genuine people. Thank you Iro, Stavros, Marios and Apostolis (who makes an incredible chicken club sandwich). The cleaners are also very pleasant and are very good at what they do. I honestly can't fault Bella Elena, I will be returning time and time again.

Second time staying at Bella Elena and it just gets better everytime. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as happy and comfortable as it can be. The prices are fair for food and drinks and Aps makes a stunning chicken club sandwich!! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Stavros is an absolute legend. The only downside was a guest who complained due to noise at 11pm when guests were sitting at the pool bar (as expected when on holiday) however this was not Bella Elena’s fault and they had already offered this guest another room to stay in which she declined. Other than that 10/10 will stay here again!!

We have just returned from an amazing stay at the wonderful Bella Elena, we travelled as a group of 6 adults we had 3 studio apartments (2 of which were bigger than the third) all studios had a beautiful balcony and all were facing the swimming pool. The rooms were perfect for what we wanted they have a 2 ring cooker a fridge, kettle & microwave for those wanting to cook (we didn't), the only downside of the studios were the bathrooms are really small. There's also AC, WIFI & safety deposit boxes all at extra charges. The pool and restaurant area is lovely and kept spotlessly clean, nice choice of dishes in the pool bar menu and all very reasonably priced. Marious, Stavros & Iro looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble. Bella Elena is perfectly placed on the edge of Malia's old town, a 2 minute walk will take you to the beautiful winding streets of the Old Town which are full of gorgeous Greek Tavernas all serving delicious authentic Greek food. About a 20min walk will bring you to "The Strip" which is full of Clubs, bars and restaurants (most open till 6am) however I can't vouch for this personally as my "clubbing days" are well past 🤣🤣 We would highly recommend Bella Elena to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday for adults or families with older children and we will definitely be back again soon 😀

Just returned from a week's break & I was more than pleased with my stay .This is a family run business along with a dedicated team of staff. Everyone was really friendly & professional, they couldnt be more than happy to help you. I did ask to change rooms for a better view of the mountains, which wasn't an issue, along with extending my check out time due to a late pick up time back to the airport. The views of the landscape & hidden restaurant's/bars in the old town make this place really great. It's a short walk to the main strip but not close enough to be disturbed, so this is fine. The beech is a little further away but theres plenty of places to stop and have a quick refreshments along the way so this is also fine. The hotel is clean & tidy. The pool bar food/drinks are great & not expensive. There is however charges for WiFi in the room (WiFi at the pool is free),Safe box & air conditioning in the rooms, but I didn't mind at all, as for me the more Important points of the holiday where met. I would recommend this hotel as you can relax in piece, at the time of my stay there wasnt many people at all, so it was so chilled & quiet. Of course this would get busier further into the season. Our first family holiday in 4 and a half years and they made it AMAZING! So chilled out, friendly, attentive and caring they helped us out with tourist attractions and excursions. There was a daily turnover with the rooms so clean bedding and towels basically everyday! Music by the pool but not too loud at all, a very comfortable stay and we wish we could thank them enough! Maria, Stavros and Iro were amazing attentive and so informative they taught us greek language and we spent so much time at the bar on site eating, trying new food/learning recipes and just having a beautifully friendly chat with the staff. Would recommend 100 percent for families with older children and adults or couples. Perfectly placed by restaurants and a short walk to night life Thank you again guys! Efcharistó!

Excellent staff, service and clean, pool very nice and relaxing. Food and drinks are reasonably priced also. Would reccomend this as great place to stay if visiting Malia. Excellent view of the mountains from the pool area while taking in the hot sun
