Yiannis Manos Apartments in Malia

This hotel has fabulous views of the mountains on one side. There are two swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds. Each bed has a thick mattress so they are very comfortable. It is surrounded by farm land (veg, so no bad smells). It has the best of both as it is in a quiet area but is only a 10min walk away from the main *****, where the nightlife is lively and there are a vast number of cafes, bars and restaurants. The staff at the hotel are amazing. Everyone is friendly. Linzi was very helpful with advise of the area. Aris, the chef, obviously is very passionate about cooking. Everything was made fresh to order and the portion sizes were huge. Every morning George or Eleni knew what drinks we liked with our breakfast and after a day or two, our drinks were prepared for us without us asking. Yannis, the manager, was always friendly and helpful. He let us stay in our room on our last day, even though the hotel had officially closed for the season. It was an 8hr wait from check out to our transfer to the airport. We were even invited to the staff Halloween party (we were the only guests left on this night). This hotel was extremely clean. The kitchen was open and we saw it constantly being cleaned between each meal being prepared. Rooms were cleaned alternate days with fresh towels and bedding each time. I would definitely stay he again. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

4 stars out of 5 for the room only because there was no microwave in the rooms, and the shower was really small. Otherwise the room was very comfortable and practical.

I would give the service a 10 out of 5! Rooms cleaned every two days, bar service was fast and friendly.

The worst thing for us about this wonderful hotel was its location. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the beaches, and about the same distance to grocery stores, just in the other direction. The lack of sidewalks on the road was a problem for us since we were with children. Although the surrounding infrastructure is certainly not the responsibility of the hotel owners, the first impression was still spoiled.

Perfect for the price. Lovely little apartment with everything you need. Very clean and cleaners came every other day. Receptionist very helpful with taxis and what shops to use. Pools were cold but that’s expected, area was clean. The food at the hotel is very good and very well priced as are the drinks. All staff are brilliant. 10minutes walk to old town, 15minutes walk to beach. 100% would return

Situated 15/20 minutes from the strip,20 minutes from the lovely old town and 20 minutes from Potomas Beach. It is situated just far enough out of the town so it's not too much of a hassle to get into Malia if you're fit and able. Great hotel and the room was OK. We went in September and the air-conditioning cost more than it did last June. We know as we had friends who stayed in June and the told us how much their air-conditioning was. The one massive positive point for the hotel is that you don't have to get up early for a sunbed. There were sunbeds available all day by the big pool. I didn't see many empty beds by the smaller pool though. The negative point for me and it's just this hotel but why do they feel the need to have music on around the pool?? If I want to hear music I'll put my own headphones on. At this hotel the music wasn't too loud and was easy listening but why do we need it?? Would I recommend this place.....yes,I would. Staff at the bar were very friendly too.

14th visit to Yiannis manos now. It gets better each year, staff go out their way to make you’re holiday. Rooms spacious, lovely new bathroom. Food is some of the best in malia. Aris and his staff cater for all your needs. Yiannis manos elani manuela little manos Lindsay and Julie are constantly making our holiday experience better. Pool areas are spotless with very comfy sunbeds. Spent a lot of time in the old time enjoy the Cretan life style. Will be back next year for longer then 16 days this time, Can’t recommend this hotel and the staff highly enough.

Nice clean hotel with excellent friendly, welcoming Staff that are very helpful. Nice pool and bar area with plenty of sunbeds. Good food and service all round. Room was basic but had everything you would need. Room are kept clean with towels and linen changes every couple days.

2nd time returning. I love this hotel. Beds and pillows super comfy, rooms get cleaned every other day. Bar and restaurant excellent. Staff very attentive , food excellent.Yes it's a good 10 minute walk to town (might not suit everyone with long walking difficulties) otherwise I highly recommend this place. Yes the showers are tiny, but I managed with it. I wouldn't hesitate returning
