Kalypso Hotel in Malia

The Kalypso in Malia - Crete is a little gem. The hotel is quietly located and the city center (party mile) can be reached in just a 15-minute walk. Due to its size, the hotel has a family-like atmosphere and invites you to relax. The hotel grounds, the food, and the rooms are stylish, clean, and inviting. We especially want to highlight the staff. They are friendly, attentive, and always have an open ear. We particularly want to mention Maria from the reception. She welcomed us warmly, is professional, and a wonderful person. We can only recommend this hotel to singles, couples, and others who want to travel away from package tourism. The hotel is very nice and recommendable, not too big and a well-kept complex. The service is great, Maria Brazil and her colleagues are very friendly. A few minutes walk to the beach and the pool is fantastic too. Clearly recommended! 😊

One of the best experiences! I loved the Greek hospitality and the family owned feeling. The staff is lovely and at your service for whatever you might need at any time of the day. The gardens looked amazing, as you can see from the photos as well as the entire building complex. I adored the reception girlies who were extremely friendly and helpful!🥰The rooms were neatly and flawlessly made every day. The service was 10/10, from all aspects ❤️. The hotel is family owned, so you can feel the eagerness of the owner to provide an excellent stay to every single visitor. Thank you for the amazing experience, the tasty tasty food (breakfast and dinner), the relaxing moments by the pool and your beautiful smiles! Until next time!!💕💕

It was clean and friendly staff

We stayed for 7 days and loved every minute of it. The hotel has a familiar feeling to it, with the rooms being offset to each other for a feeling of privacy. It was clean and functional. The wait staff were super sweet and by the 2nd day remembered our drink choices, always a smile and friendly words. The buffet had enough choices for our taste, yet not as many as you would find in the big touristy box hotels. To get to the beach you have to cross a small road, then follow a garden path of a different hotel, walking slowly it took about 5 min. The waves stayed pretty strong, so might not be suitable for smaller children. The road left and right is filled with restaurants, bars, souvenir shops. But the noise level didn't reach inside the hotel. Our favorite was a tavern next to the kalypso, funny owner speaking English and German. I would (and will) stay there again! Loved it!

Simply brilliant.
The hotel is so great! We spent there 14 days of our summer holidays and are very grateful for the fabulous time we had. The food is simply amazing! Super healthy and the variety is enormous. The rooms and service are perfect and there is so much love for the details in every corner. The employees are very friendly and helpful and always try to do their best to fulfil their customers wishes and requests & to come up to their highest expectations. Very children friendly 💕
