Very conveniently located. No need to use public transport - the entire center walked. The hotel is clean, the service is good.

Important to note that currently the hotel is undergoing renovation works so there is often construction workers and it is in essence a construction site. This meant some mornings there was construction noises happening

My friend and I where here for 3 days city break. Near to most tourist attractions. Staff where very friendly and helpful. It's a basic hotel but very clean and beds are comfortable. I would certainly stay here again

We brought this to the attention of the staff - some were completely unaware and shocked that this was the case. One woman said she was aware but that there was nothing they can do

The city center area is convenient for travel. The facilities are relatively old, but the service is very warm

The room was perfect. Large, with comfortable mattresses, and very clean. Breakfast was limited, but acceptable.

Just walk couple minutes from Ferenciek station or 5 minutes from Deák Ferenc ter station and I can walk to Vuci street behind the hotel 3 mins by walk as well. I love this place about location and room

Amenities in room were so full-options. But only one thing I didnt understand was where is heater in the room. Haha anw, I will go back this hotel when I come to Budapest again and again

Great location, luxurious atmosphere in rooms & corridor, very helpful staff. Had an issue with shower area door being a bit faulty - was immediately rectified. Price was great too!

Location, cleanliness, room facilities are overall okay. However, Wifi did not work with my mobile phone and tablet (my PC was okay).

(The bathroom felt makeshift, with the shower and the rest of the room connected to the floor, so water kept running down the sink. Also, the closet door on the ceiling didn't close, so I had to sleep with it open

It’s in the centre of Budapest, near many stores, restaurant and attractions. We stayed in the hotel for two nights and our rooms were big, clean and fresh

It's in an old building with high ceilings, a beautiful entrance and staircase. The windows faced the inner courtyard, so the room was quiet, but earplugs were thoughtfully provided

Great location. We just walked to the Opera House and the Cathedral. Front desk were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and everyday something different was served. I would stay here again.

Great apartment and a little away from the centre but definitely recommend!

The area it’s not convenient, far from the center, we use Uber to go and come back spending $10 euros average each way

We were very disappointed that we were unable to use the amenities as advertised, we felt very unwelcome by the “sister” hotel and they initially told us that our seven year old could not utilize the indoor pool after a certain hour which happened to be the same time we showed up, we showed up earlier the next day and they told us that the pool was closed due to unforeseen circumstances, I’m not one...

An absolute delight! We stayed in the penthouse - it was fabulous! Sometimes when you book online, places seem too good to be true … not this time! Cannot fault anything - we had a wonderful time

The property is very good and clean. Easy commute to inner city which takes by Bus or Trolley in 15 min. Local shop Spar was around the corner which was 200 yards

The rooms were amazing! Staff polite, clean exceeded expectations as for the “sister” property they get zero stars from me and my family

I found this residence while searching for a place to stay in and I am so pleased for choosing this place, the prices are really good, the room was perfect and had everything I need! Would definitely come back for another stay!

The outside of this residence is a bit off putting but once you get to the apartments it is a different story. My flat was lovely. The location makes getting around Budapest very manageable. Quiet and safe.

It's about a 20-minute walk from the city center. A different layout of the lower level would be more convenient

Nice and helpful staff. Apartment in the city center. In the apartment you could hear the noise of the street with the windows closed. The air conditioning was not working. A very nice place for this price.

The bed is elevated with a ladder, and there was only one armchair and one chair downstairs, so it wasn’t easy to relax comfortably. I think there was enough space for a small sofa

Very centrally located, everything can be reached on foot. Breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. Great service, friendly, courteous and thoughtful. Everything was uncomplicated and relaxed

The hotel is greatly located to the city center. The breakfast was also very good. The personnel was pretty friendly and professional.

Very good, super well located. The only problem was the noise from a nightclub right next door but at the same time we were in the hyper center.

I stayed in the executive double, and it has 2 floors, 2 ensuites, 3 beds + 2 bedrooms, alongside a bathroom downstairs and a full kitchen and sitting area

Good location, not far from the airport bus terminal. There are many restaurants in the city center. Old rooms, well equipped. There is a small local history display in the basement. Highly recommended.

It's a little far from the city center, but there's a bus stop within walking distance. ) If you just pay a little attention to cleaning, you'll forget about the oldness and have a great time

An average hotel, the rooms were clean but with ants, the Wi-Fi is of quite good quality, the hotel is in a good location, 10 minutes by car from the center, the price corresponds to the quality, there is a working air conditioner, but we got a damaged bed

Set in a lovely quiet area but well walkable to the main areas. Lovely park close by and a great cafe/bar for meals and drinks within a short distance. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful

It's true that it's old and not cleaned well. It's an old building, so it's worn out. But this hotel has a unique atmosphere and is cool

Our room was clean, a little dated and rusty, but passable. They never cleaned the room or made the bed. We were infested with ants; we reported this to the staff, and they intervened with insecticide spray

I lived here for 5 weeks. Great apartments walking distance from the city centre. Lots of things near by and an absolutely brilliant gym, with pool steam and sauna. Really felt at home.

We stayed here for a few nights at the end of December. We were a bit worried due to the reviews( we didn’t look on google prior to booking, only after) and we were really worried for what we are going to get

We were very pleasantly surprised. The apartment was lovely, clean and huge!!!! We had 2 rooms for the 2 of us, could pick a bed, we chose the living room one as that looked comfier

Cleaning also done daily, we are not an early riser couple and left the room between midday and 2pm and the cleaning was done without the card being left out. Overall very nice stay and would happily stay again here

Good hotel in the absolute centre of Budapest. The hotel had it's own fitness club/gym with a hot bath, big heated (32 degree) pool, steam sauna and an ordinary sauna. The breakfast was a bit basic but not bad

We saw someone mentioning that there is no luggage room to leave your luggages after check out, which is not true, they have 2 small rooms

The best hostel I have ever stayed, very quiet , clean, convenient and considerable.

Last time i stayed here (i spent daytime in the room), i saw what that "room cleaning" looked like - it was mainly just changing sheets of beds of guests who left , so i cant see how my bag would have made such a large issue for half an hour post check-out, that this silly fee is demanded, as if i booked an extra bed for my bag to sleep in

I also had a small request for my departure, if my bag could stay in the room an additional half an hour or so after the official check-out time at 11 (i left the hostel at 5:30 am, but wanted not to be pressed by returning earlier just to take the bag out "in time"), but the staff didnt have any flexibility about it, still requesting 2

Now, after several stays here, I can confirm that hostel doesnt ever read or respond to special requests (such as preferred bunk bed) - I understand requests are not always made possible, but staff consistently confirms they dont even read them or care to respond

However, thickness of the walls IS hostel's feature, and it's worth knowing that you might hear your next-room neighbors snoring (walls seem to have left thin in grand hostel expansion), which doubles risks of noise-polluted sleep

The policy is ridiculously strict. As, if i wanted to, i could have left my bag in the room without asking sincerely. The check-out is literally dropping the key in the box, so nobody would have ever known

Enjoyed see staying here. I was in a singbed room for a week. The breakfast was great and yeah the room was pretty basic but the rate was great. If I happen to go to Budapest again I'd stay here again

Of the minuses - thin walls you can hear everything to sound like drunk German punks thump, yelling and carrying on. Very bad in the bathroom the water goes down and the room cold

I stayed at The Bastion Hotel with four friends from 10th June until 13th June and I highly recommend it. The rooms were comfortable with great coffee and a welcoming bottle of wine

Breakfast had a good selection but most of all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved Budapest and I would definitely stay at The Bastion again

The room, while small, was perfectly spacious for a single person. There was a convenient outlet near the bed, and the shower had excellent water temperature and pressure

This hotel was truly amazing! From the airport, take the 100E bus, one stop away, to Kalvin ter (HUF 2500), which is then just a few hundred meters away on foot

While the hallway's soundproofing was a bit lacking, it was surprisingly quiet outside my window. This was the most satisfying of my three stays in Budapest

This isn't the first time my family and I have stayed at this hotel. This time we booked a larger room, which was lovely, but it was on the 6th floor, and the elevator only went up to the 5th floor

Unique room designs and a great location, with easy access to both the trains and tour buses. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the staff were incredibly helpful

The elevator is noisy, the lights on the hall sometimes don’t work and small details like that, but nothing significant to hurt your vacation

Great location and really helpful staff, without any problems booked a transfer to the airport. Breakfast included which cannot be a disadvantage these days. Affordable, so will probably come back.

The rooms overlook the courtyard, the room has a mini-fridge, TV, hairdryer. I stay here every trip to Budapest, was the third time. In terms of price-quality ratio, so far the best of the budget options

The hotel reception is in the building on the other side of the street, the staff were very helpful, they had space to keep our luggage before check-in and after check-out which was great as we only had one night booked

Great location, very close to most attractions. Bus stop not far, metro even closer. The room was huge, big fridge, the jacuzzi bath was well worth going for. The staff were very welcoming

The AC worked fine, the room was clean, the windows opened and the TV had alot of channels. The girl on reception was so helpful and kind, she was so friendly and had no problem to help guests

This is a great value hotel. I always visit here when I have business in Budapest.

Initially we were put in room 504, it was not good. There was alot of mold on the window, the air conditioning did not work properly and it made a very loud noise all night

Beautiful hotel and the courtyard is pretty! The staff were so accommodating, we checked into our room two hours earlier than expected, the receptionist printed our train tickets without a problem and stored luggage on the last day! Very clean too, our room was cleaned everyday without having to put the sign on the door

I really liked this hotel - it is cool and modern and relatively central in Budapest. I was travelling alone and I did feel safe, the breakfast was amazing and the staff super kind. I would stay here again!
